This nail salon looks beautiful and the technicians are friendly BUT the nail service is absolutely horrible and I felt taken advantage of. I went in for a gel nail fill. She (Teena) did a horrible job. She burned me twice with the nail file machine because the speed was so high and then she said "Don't move" My nails look gloopy and thick, not natural at all. Because the prices are not posted, they can say any price, so she looked at my (teacher appreciation gift certificate of 50) and charged me $50 for a Gel-fill! Will Never Go There Again! read more

I've been going to this salon for 6 years. Because they are usually busy I always make an appointment first. Brenda has been doing my nails waxing and eyelashes. She's wonderful. Very knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend this salon. Although walk ins are always welcome they do get very busy and would recommend an appointment. Very clean and sanitary. DO NOT COME HERE!!! The woman that "did" my nails rudely said more than five times that I "should get a gel manicure." I informed her every time that I wasn't interested due to the damage they do to your nail beds- I actually work in the nail industry and am very aware of this fact. It turns out this occurred because THEY'RE NOT EQUIPPED TO DO NON-GEL NAILS! She could have just said this and I would have declined their services. Instead, I received the worst manicure of all time, aka my nails looked better BEFORE the manicure. Fun fact: They do NOT have a way to dry non-gel nails so as soon as they were done painting my nails they asked me to leave. I said my nails were wet and they told me AGAIN that I should have got a gel manicure. So before I had even left the establishment several of my nails were ruined which they refused to fix and the skin around my nails looked just frightening. I believe the photos speak for themselves and were taken moments after I left. Maybe this place is fine for a gel manicure but you couldn't pay me to return to this mess. If you can't provide a basic manicure, you have some real issues as a nail salon. read more

Great when they do things right but unprofessional when they make a mistake. They accidentally overcharged me by a lot like 8 x more and they made me felt like I was at fault. If only the cashier knew how to void a transaction and enter the correct invoice then I would not have to wait a couple of days to get the charge corrected from my bank. I now have to cancel our trip as we were relying on this money for our expenses. I am a senior and limited on income. I recommend paying cash as the male cashier does not know what he is doing. read more

Came here on a whim while I was in town. Set an appointment for 5:30 p.m. They did a lovely job on my nails. However they were kind of pushy. I ended up with a color I didn't like , but I may grow to love. I do sympathize that it was the end of the day and everyone just wanted to go home. They knocked over my phone and it cracked ,I didn't get an apology or any sort of discount. I also don't have phone insurance so that will be coming out of pocket. I've never been treated the way these ladies treated me today. Especially with this being my 2nd time coming to their establishment. I went in at 10am to make an appointment for 11 with Brenda to get 2 pedicures and a fill. Brenda said that she could see me at 1 so I went to go have breakfast at Felix's to wait for a friend who I was treating to get her first pedicure. I talked her into it after sharing my great experience I had the first time. We eat and we head over at 12, a little early to wait and pick out our color for our appointment but one of the ladies called us over to the pedicure chairs immediately! Only one lady comes over to do my friends feet, while I'm left unattended in my chair. She gets the #1 that has flower water, and the lady comes over with literally 1 flower to drop in the water....$35 By the time someone comes over to start my pedicure, my water is cold and my toes are prunes. Multiple people that came in after me where being seen, and my friend is already starting the process of getting her toes painted. The lady asked me which spa treatment did I want and I went with the basic bc my friend was pretty much done with hers. She kept trying to up-sale me and when I kept declining, she was clearly upset about it. She was extremely rough with me and had a major attitude. She didn't want to work on me and she was nasty about it. Slamming my foot on the stand, asking me to hold my own foot up while she takes her time to scrub the bottom of my foot without support. It was extremely rude. By this time my friend is done, the lady that was doing her feet just walked away. She didn't tell her to stay and let her feet dry, she just leaves and my friends looking at me and I'm looking at her like WTF! My friend ended up sitting outside while I finished up, When I was done with my polish I sat in the chair to let my toes dry, I get up to pay and Brenda runs over to ask me if I wanted to get my nails done still after giving me attitude with the rest of the ladies in there. I will never come back. This place is not a friendly establishment and they are all very unprofessional and petty. read more

First time here, very impressed!!! I got a gel manicure (pictured in red) and my cousin got one as well (the pink). Kim did my manicure and she did a fabulous job!!! She was very sweet and considerate when doing my nails. For example I wanted the gold to look solid (not translucent glitter) and she made sure it was solid; also she hand picked the perfect maroon color for me, LOVED it. Terrible customer service. I made a appointment for myself and my elderly Nieghbor. We showed up on time. We sat in the chair with our feet in cold water for 45 minutes. They came over and started on her and still ignored me. I left. I came back to pick her up and she was in tears. They cut her toes nails so short it hurt her. She couldn't wait to get out of there. She's 91. Only 2 other people in the place and they were all focused on those ladies. We went back today to show the boss her toenails and not even a apology. Just said she would re do it. The wait time is far too long Got an appointment? It doesn't matter, you'll be waiting almost 45 minutes before you're seen. They state they are open at 9:30 am. They don't. I hate writing negative reviews, especially as someone who works in the beauty industry- I want other beauty businesses to succeed! My hope is that they see this and try to do better. I came in with my grandmother today, we both got pedicures, and she also got a manicure. From the beginning of my service, Lisa had a negative attitude, and was very aggressive. The water was piping hot and burned my feet, and she seemed irritated that I couldn't handle the temperature of the water. During the massage portion, she touched my leg with a disgusted look on her face... and said verbatim "your legs are so rough and bumpy". For one, this is inappropriate. Anyone with an ounce of professionalism would just keep that comment to themselves. I just responded by saying "oh haha I'm sorry I've got to wax my legs". Secondly, my legs were not that prickly?? The comment was just unnecessary and rude. The worst part of our experience was that they did not finish my grandma's manicure. They did all the steps leading up to the polish... but her manicurist (not sure what her name is) just walked away without polishing her nails. When we checked out, they charged her for a whole manicure. My Grandma is 84, and it upsets me that they took advantage of her. I didn't realize that this happened until after we left, and she refused to go back and ask for her polish or a refund because she was too uncomfortable asking because of how rude the staff was. Sadly we won't be returning or recommending this business to anyone. read more

This place is hit or miss. They give decent pedicures and the polish job is not always up to par for me however my dip nails always looked amazing. My nails hate having anything on them so when I had to have them taken off so be they kept breaking, I returned here. Did a horrible job and didn't get all of the nail off. They saved my nails! Yesterday, I decided to go to happiness nails and spa on marron. I had the worst experience ever, they did a hack job of both my nails and toes. I was so frustrated that I went to this location right after to hopefully have them fix my nails. I walked in at 6:30pm, they close at 7pm, they were packed with a bridal shower so I automatically thought oh great I will have to deal with these nails until tomorrow. However; the young lady told me to sit down and she will be with me shortly. I only waited 10 minutes before she started on my nails. She re-shaped them, painted them and took a second glance afterwards to make sure the shape was just right. I could not ask for anything more. Very happy with my nails and service. read more

I want to say this is very sad to post but TRUE. I started going to Red Persimmon over 3 years ago just from a gift certificate given to me. And this is when I met Kathy. OMG she was amazing. She listened and she was great in the respect that I wanted to maintain my own natural nails. She was my person. Once she shared news of her departure I was so so sad. She told me that Brenda would take care of me and she would share with her my likes..... I was skeptical because again these are my natural nails. Not every salon embrace this practice and respect it. But they did. Brenda came in a truly did her best. We developed our own relationship and I even brought my two daughters here and had them get their nails done. It was truly a family experience. When Brenda shared her wedding and honeymoon plans I was again happy for her and sad for me. :) She said Leo would be able to handle the one appt. I would miss with her in her absence. I ALWAYS make my appts. In advance ALWAYS, and always KEEP them. I made my appt. for February 1st @ 4pm. I get a call the same day about 1ish asking if I could come in at 4:30 pm so that Leo could accommodate another client. I was off put but I said ok. I get to the nail salon at 4:16 pm not greeted, no apologies for having me wait. Because he did not start my nails until 4:50 pm. My appts. Usually last about 2 hours when I get a new overlay. Which was in this visit. When all said and done Leo stated my charge was $65. Gasp in disbelief. I have NEVER EVER paid Brenda of Kathy $65 for anything I have ever gotten. Remind you I get an Overlay $27, Leo said he charge me $45 for a full set??? I don't do long nails EVER. Leslie said oh well we have to charge you $15 for gel and long nails..... LIES. And I toned my design down specifically for this visit. And I tipped him cash $$$ even leaving upset. He said he would contact Brenda and make the adjustment. But, I called this morning to follow up only to be met with lies and lies from Leslie. Who told me it took him 3 hours to do my nails and all this other Bullshi* that made no sense but just enraged me. These people know me. I have been consistent in my appts. I told her thanks to your behavior and lies I will no longer be back. You just lost Benda a good client. Even my daughters was surprised as they are with me at appts. So we will unfortunately have to find another place to go. I'm so upset that this is what it's come down too. I will be contacting my bank regarding this charge. I will pay for what is right. But, I won't pay for imaginary work that was not performed. Red Persimmon you should be ashamed but the sad part is I don't think Leslie or Leo care as to what they have done. read more

I hadn't had a mani/pedi since February 2020, and my feet were screaming at me. We recently moved, and I hadn't had the opportunity to check out any new places. This salon is located within walking distance of my house, and I decided to give them a try. I got the Deluxe Spa Pedicure and a regular manicure. All of the ladies were very friendly and talkative. It wasn't expected since, and they did a great job. Two weeks later, and my pedicure still looks great, no chipping or anything. I'm giving this salon 5 well deserved stars hands down! I have been going here for over a year now and this is not your ordinary nail salon! The owner is very sweet and really cares that her salon is sanitary. The pedicure chairs are the newest in the industry and are brand new. Each pedicure chair's tub has a plastic wrap that is changed after each client. The nippers and nail clippers are professionally sterilized and repackaged! Khole does my nails and lashes, she is amazing! She does my nails perfect every single time! She is so talented! My lashes always come out looking natural and beautiful! My daughter goes here as well. She never makes an appointment and gets someone different each time. She is always pleased with her nails and lashes no matter who she gets. Everyone is excellent here! Last but not least the prices are very reasonable! BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!! After I expressed my concerns and how I was not satisfied with my service on yelp. Brenda went above and beyond to correct what had previously happened. What I love about this place now is that they listen to their customers and make adjustments to keep their customers coming back. Leslie and Brenda both do a great job on my eye lash extensions. They are also quick. I don't like to lay down long and they usually finish my lashes in under 45minutes. Brenda did an outstanding job with my nails. Really like going here because of the location but wish the employees would listen when you make an appointment. Some people are on busy work schedules or have to pick up kids, so it would be nice if the appointment was actually honored . Another thing is keeping it clean . With everything going on it would be nice to see the employees wiping down counter tops , chairs, etc .
