I love this place! My hairdresser recommended it, which says a lot to have someone else from the beauty industry giving it a good review (it's where she goes). Anyhow, my 85+ year old mom and I go here to get pedicures because my mom wasn't as able to cut her toenails, and her feet are, well, 85+ years old. The owner, Thao, works on both of us, and she's the best! Before coming to HUSH, I went to the salon nearby and the person who gave me a pedicure cut my big toenail wrong and I got an ingrown toenail - ugh. I went to my doctor, and she didn't do much to fix it - but it took all of 2 minutes for Thao to take care of it, and the nail has been fine since! She's also been working on my mom's stubborn nails and feet, and those are improving vastly as well. Thao is also very sweet and sensitive to my mom's needs, and I trust her completely. My mom doesn't trust doctors or pretty much anyone when it comes to her health, but she trusts Thao, which has been a hugely pleasant surprise. The shop is cute, clean, and has good energy. The other nail techs are kind, and there's always a friendly, positive vibe with them and other customers. All in all, a great experience every time we go there. Thanks, Thao! Thao did something that means a lot to me. More then just a regular old pedicure. My 15 year old baby had surgery on her big toes when she was a baby preventing her big toes nail to grow in properly and fully. She's in water polo and among too many instances to count she's cried over the years over her little feet. I cry inside every time. Yes something so minor but it isn't to her or myself. And for the first time in over 12 years she was given this amazing gift from Miss Thao. She created with a special technique (very very few salons offer) a new nail for my baby. She has her first pedicure w a full recreated flexible nail. Not a acrylic hard piece of material but a lovely natural looking nail. She cried when we got in car. Made me so happy inside. I've actually had this place bookmarked for quite awhile and just recently I decided to go in for a pedicure. You can book an appointment online and they will email you a notification of your appointment and send you a text as well, but I just opted the old fashioned way. I booked my appointment super quickly and was excited to see what was in store. I chose this place for a few reasons: Nail designs, luxury accommodations, & convenience. All the boxes checked off for me! The only part that was Willy Wonka was finding the actual place. I thought it was over by the Rady's Children Hospital and other businesses, but it's not. It's actually in where those luxury apartment/townhomes are. It's located right in the front of the office and it's literally right there when you turn into the place. I was the first one there & Thao greeted me immediately and offered me a cup of coffee! I can definitely say that I never have even got offered a cup of water, let alone coffee! She is super friendly and a resident of the apartments came in just to for her daily morning conversation with Thao. I showed her a picture from Pinterest and easily recreated it with NO problem! And I think I actually like the colors better than the original picture! I chose to get the Signature Pedicure, which has a few extras such as a foot massage, sugar scrub, callus remover, etc. I DON'T regret anything other than the fact I did it earlier in the day & all I wanted to do afterwards was take a nice long nap! I'm actually super ticklish under my feet and I'm always super hesitant to try a new place to get a pedicure because I don't want to encounter the conversation of explaining how ticklish I am & having her watch me squirm the whole time! A few times I actually hit a really high octave, almost opera like, & having all the ladies in the salon stare at me like I just got my foot chewed off, HOWEVER I did not squirm once or reach a high E, I did music for 12 years so I know pitch! She said she could tell I was ticklish and held my foot at a different angle & was a bit more aggressive than gentle underneath the foot, and that's the reason I didn't get ticklish! Everything is super luxurious and you feel as if you're more in a spa than a nail salon! The massage oil/lotion, chairs, nail polish, warm towel wrapped around my legs, coffee, and watching Barefoot Contessa on Netflix. Ultimately I felt at home! I don't normally go for fancy manicures or pedicures, but I feel like I'm going to get addicted to this place! I definitely don't miss all the other places since I'm much an advocate of quality vs quantity. Yes this place is a bit more expensive than the rest, but EVERYTHING is done properly and nothing is half-assed or "Five Dollar Five Dollar!" and that's what I look for in a salon. P.S. Since I hadn't had a manicure/pedicure on over half a year I decided to treat myself. I asked around for somewhere good happy to pay a little more if the work/environment was worth it. My friends all have me great recommendations but said on a Saturday I'd need an appointment. Fair enough but it was Friday night. Too late to call anyone and Saturday was really the only day I could make it happen. I decided to just yelp and see what was out there. I found out this place was right by me and it had an online booking tool on their website. They do take walk ins but only if available which doesn't sound like often. I decided to go ahead and try assuming everything would be full. I lucked out because someone had last minute canceled and I was able to book an appointment with Christina. The interior is cute. I really like the pedicure chairs and that they make sure the bowls are sanitized for pedicures. I was immediately offered a mimosa. I chose the pineapple mimosa and everyone there is very chatty. The whole room is fairly small so it's basically just one big group conversation. Christina finished my pedicure and then I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my gel manicures. She helped by giving honest opinions. She even did my accent nail different on each hand so I could choose which I liked best. When waiting to pay I also found out they do lash extensions and based on the other customer checking out the work looked good. Looks like a found a new nail salon! read more

I put off having any nail work done for quite a few years after a bad experience at another salon. I've looked around for another nail salon here and there because I was really missing my pedicures. Recently looked around again and came across Hush Beauty Lounge. After reading the reviews I decided to take the plunge and book an appointment for a pedicure. First I loved the online appointment system. Very easy to use and received the appointment confirmation both by email and text. I also received a "reminder" notification the day before. Wanted a first thing in the morning appointment and was able to book it with Thao. Got there a few minutes before they officially opened for the day and found Thao already setting up for my appointment. I really liked that they used liners on the soaking bowls, knowing it's fresh and clean for each client. I know salons clean the foot bowls after each client or at least they're supposed to (ewwww just thinking about it) but seeing individual liners for each person is a big plus. Had a nice variety of polish colors to choose from and the tools used for the pedicure were unwrapped in front of me. Because it had been quite awhile since my last one I decided to splurge a bit and go with the luxury pedicure. Thao is very good at what she does and she didn't skimp on any of the services included in the luxury pedicure. She was very welcoming and friendly throughout my visit. While I was there another technician Ruby (?) came in and was also very friendly. We all chatted quite a bit but I also noticed another customer who came in appeared to like to keep to herself and read a book while getting her pedicure. They respected her desire for relaxing/reading time and the only conversations were about the services they were doing and an occasional comment here and there. I liked that.....they don't force silence or talking on anyone. I'm so glad I found this place and love the results. I will definitely return here for future pedicures. If you are looking for a new place to try, give this place a whirl. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

My friend's wedding was over the weekend (5.1.17) and she was so generous as to book our appointment here for mani-pedis! Let me tell you, although I don't get my nails done often, this place is by far the best I've ever been to! The location is in a beautiful little shopping center next to some apartments in the hill. The salon is aesthetically clean, chic, and accompanied with super comfy chairs. The ladies made my friend's special day even more special with their genuine smiles, easygoing personalities and nail expertise. We were given the option for coffee, water, and ended up with some lovely glasses of mimosas while we're being treated and the music was delightful and not overbearing. By accident the bride forgot the nail polishes we were gonna use but the salon had a rainbow of colors to choose from and we're perfectly fine in the end! We showed them a picture from Pinterest of what we wanted and they duplicated it perfectly-- if not better! I was even more please to realize that I wasn't smelling any harmful chemicals! Seriously ladies, this place uses high-end products that are worth every penny! And honestly, for the quality of service they provide, I think their prices are reasonable for a full mani-pedi service with added nail art! It's been a few days, some time in the warm sand, and even after my daily clumsiness and cleaning, these gel (shellac?) manicures are holding strong! No chips! No dents! For a Mother's Day surprise, I made an appointment here for my wife. When I picked her up afterwards, she couldn't stop talking about her wonderful and relaxing time at this salon. According to her, this place was way above any of the other salons that she has been to. She ranted and raved about how she really loved this place. The women were all amazingly friendly, not just the staff, but the other customers as well. A lot of the other places she has tried had very little, if any, interaction between the people, so she would just go in, get her nails done and leave, feeling that she was missing something. Best nail salon I've ever experienced! Great vibe, good music, nice decor, VERY professional staff, and the cleanest salon I've ever seen. It's east to communicate with everyone too - no language barrier or sitting there wondering if the staff is talking about you. They do a perfect job on my nails. I never go home with polish on my skin, glue or other gunk under my nails, or uneven nails. They have a huge selection of colors and they do all kinds of nail art. They only do standard polish or shellac which is very different than gel. No acrylics either. The shellac is much thinner than gel and it comes off after a few minutes of soaking in acetone. My nails aren't damaged and thin under the shellac either like they were with the gel. My manicures last 2 full weeks. I see Jasmine and she has the softest, most gentle touch, an eye for detail, the patience of a saint, and she does the BEST nail art! I've also had eyelash extensions put on by Jasmine. Glamorous and beautiful! Don't go to any of the sweat shops for your nail care. Spend a little more because you're worth it. Hush is the top of the line and you won't be sorry. I just had my nails done by Shani and oh my gosh what a wonderful person who did an amazing job! I'm so so happy with my experience. I did some research on salons before picking Hush. I went on their website and made an appointment through their scheduling system. This is very convenient because you can see who is available and when depending on the service you want. I received a text message confirming my appointment. Once I arrived I was greeted and asked if I wanted anything to drink, which I believe is a personal touch of extra customer service. It's very appreciated from my end. This was my first time here and I loved the more intimate setting with everyone being friendly. I met Shani and she was so friendly. I had gel nails from another salon and Shani really put in work to remove the thick gel layer that ended up ruining my nails by taking off the top layers of my fingernails. She took her time to even out my nails and make them look way better than she found them. She recommended I let them breathe and use oil instead of trying to do shellac, which I agreed with. She found a twin color of the regular nailpolish to use on my nails instead of shellac and they turned out beautiful! Of course I'll be back! What a gem! read more

The place is nice and clean with comfy chairs. We sat down and were less than impressed. The sugar scrub was only on our feet and ended at our heels. The massage was less than impressive as well. My nails are horribly painted with bumps and bubbles. It just seems like they were rushed to go home for the day. When you pay $39 for a pedicure you expect an incredible experience. If I wanted a cheap pedicure I would've gone to any of the many salons in the area that charge $15. I will not be returning here. read more

The cost was higher than other salons but I thought I would treat myself. A standard pedicure is $30. I arrived about 10 minutes early. The salon is small and appeared clean and bright. Thao took me a bit late. It looked like someone was fit into the schedule. Thao never introduced herself or asked me my name. She was pleasant and did a good, not great job. This salon is overrated.
