Leslie has been my go to girl for about 3 years now. She is great at nails and knows her stuff. They just remodeled the place about 2 weeks ago and it looks great. I recommend making an appointment prior to going here. They are always very busy but do their best to get you in. If Leslie is busy, I will see Brenda or her brother, Leo. They all 3 have never let me down. No nail has ever lifted, broke, chipped, etc. I'm always satisfied with their work and will always return for more. My most recent and favorite nails are posted below. Also, Leslie does lash extensions too! I got mine done for the first time and unfortunately, I was allergic to something in the glue, which triggered my migraines, leaving me to rip them off after 3 days. They were so beautiful. I normally come here because they do a great job when it comes to being patient & taking their time when it comes to doing your nails for you BUT...they never are there to open the doors when they "open". They open at 9:30AM during the week and almost anytime I'm there right when their doors are supposed to be unlocked. There's no staff in sight until at least 9:45 & even then it's normally one of them & the rest of the staff arrives 15 minutes later....ALSO they tell you to make an appointment to avoid having to wait a while if coming in as a walk-in, but I attempted to make an appointment only to show up & watch them start a womans nails who had literally just signed in as a walk-in while here I am with an appointment & all of their employees are with a guest so I'm told to wait... The whole point of making an appointment is so you don't have to wait. I watch them do it to clients every time I'm there which is why I try to show up when they open so I can't be told to wait. Please don't request that people make appointments only to continue to take walk-ins just for the extra buck. Hate to say you've lost a customer. read more

I had been going here for a couple months and hadn't had any issues except for the last time. I had received a gel manicure. On the second day my nails started to chip off my gel manicure. I went yesterday and they were too busy to fix my nails and told me to come back another time so I made an appointment for today. I get to the salon today, they make us wait for 15 minutes and then tell us it will be 20 more minutes. Totally didn't care or apologize. Just wish they cared more that I was coming back to have their work fixed or that I was a repeat customer who paid for the most expensive services they offer monthly. I demanded my money back after I waited and they STILL were not ready for me. They could care less about their customer service or quality of work. They barely spoke to me ever. Got my nails done on Saturday- 5 days later and the gel is all peeling off.. Disappointing. Mixed feelings about this salon... sometimes they're great sometimes they suck. The girl I had last time spoke zero English and I had to ask her multiple times to actually paint my whole nail. If you go for a pedicure with multiple people don't expect to be seen at the same time. So close to my house but convenience just might not be worth it anymore. Might update after I go back today to have them fixed. UPDATE: Walked in expecting it to be crazy busy (since when I asked for Brenda to fix them on the phone she told me she was verrry busy).... it was not busy at all. Last time I had a relaxing pedicure was in Thailand. This included a massage to die for. Today, I experienced something akin. Stumbled upon It while waiting for my favorite restaurant (Felix Soul Food) next door to open. It was my first time here at Red Persimmon Nail and Spa, albeit I was informed they had been occupying the space next to my favorite restaurant for the past 10 years. Very impressed. Place is clean - they use disposable liners for each customer (I like that because I don't like sharing someone else's previous feet residue in my foot bath). I got the basic pedicure today, which included nail trim, massage and polish for $20 + tip. My pedicurist, Tracy, was attentive to my not so common requests (extra pillow for my back, lighter on the polish, heavier on the massage, warmer in the water, etc...) Alto' the prices seemed just a little steep, I give this establishment four stars because of their efficiency, cleanliness, and professionalism. Besides the mani-ped, other ervices include waxing, facials, and eye lash extensions. Prices range from $6-$100. Patrons include return customers, whom I observed getting head- to-toe massages with their mani-ped. Altho I was informed by these mostly-female return customers that they were in uber bliss when receiving their treatments here, they also quipped that their male loved ones (husbands, partners, and sons) were quick to book their massage appointments here. ... again, I will frankly repeat that the prices are steep (for someone like me, who's on a budget). However, after resigning oneself to a moment of bliss, it's the old adage that outweighs the cost of it all... ya, I'm worth every penny of it. ;-) read more

I am so unsure about how to rate this salon. I've had one fabulous experience, and one horrible experience. The first time I went, I had one of the best pedicures I've ever had. Incredible leg massage - wow! She did an excellent job listening to my picky quirks (don't use this tool, please do this but not that, etc.) and respecting my wishes. I was over-the-moon about the whole thing, and couldn't wait to come back with a friend! 5 stars for this one pedicure... wish I remembered her name so I could go back to only her! I went back with a friend a month or so later, and had one of the worst pedicures of my life. I don't think she even knew she was supposed to be massaging - she set the timer, hardly touched my legs, and gabbed with her co-worker. She argued with me about my picky quirks, and then did the opposite of what I asked. I had to pull my foot out of her hands and assertively tell her to stop using a specific tool; and she proceeded to trash-talk me to her co-worker. Yet again she tried to sneak the tool (at least 4 times, that I counted), and argue with me when I caught her. So rude and disrespectful. The polish didn't even look nice (it didn't cover the whole nail). What a waste of my time and money. Lastly, I'll comment about the tools. They have a disposable plastic bag lining the foot bath. There is a sign saying everything they use is single-use and disposable; but besides the foot bath liner, I really can't figure out what else is disposable. No biggie (as long as they clean and sanitize them between washes), but I think that's odd. I *really* wanted this to be my go-to salon. And after my 1st pedicure here, I was sure it would be! But one very-bad pedicure, and I can't bring myself to go back. If you do go, and you're happy with your experience, I'd recommend you remember the person's name, and request only that person on your future visits. read more

I have been going to this business since they opened about 13 years ago. Leslie always treats me like a queen! She does my fills, pedicures and eyelash extensions. She always does such an amazing work and always remembers what I like and don't like. She is just so sweet and really cares about her clients. I went to my eye doctor for my check up and he couldn't even tell that I had lash extensions! (He thought that I was born with long lashes). Everyone in the salon are also very good and caring. I've been going here for about 3 years and I always enjoy it. They have a large selection of colors, both regular and gel. There is a language barrier with some workers, but there is always someone there who can figure out what I want. I do wish there were more women who know how to do designs on nails, though. Last year I was diagnosed with cancer and all of the employees were very kind to me. I was embarrassed going out with no hair, but everyone there was complimentary. A great experience! Too many nail salons bring you in and hurry the work, in order to get to the next person and in turn give terrible results. My manicurist took her time and was obviously proud of her work, not just doing it to get the bills paid. She was thorough and detailed for just a basic painted manicure, and while other nail salons pick at the cuticles until I bleed she was very precise in cutting smooth lines a good distance away from the sensitive areas. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed, the chairs are the best massage chairs I've come across in quite a while, and the people are positive. That being said, this isn't a quick mani pedi, because they really take time to be thorough and accommodate every need. I'm a huge fan! Wish I could give more stars! read more

Nice looking salon, good location but prices are expensive and service is under average. It was my first time there for a pedi. This was the most uncomfortable pedi I have done. The lady was criticizing me first for my nails being long, which they weren't because I get pedis on a regular basis. She kept saying I had not had one in a long time and I told her no, its just my first time there since I usually go to a different salon. She pointed out the cuticles she had cut several times, commented on my nail color being stained couple times all out loud for everyone in salon to hear. i was there with a friend also getting a pedi and the two technicians were clearly talking and chuckling about her after she was startled by the cold water sprayed onto her leg. She upsold the deluxe pedi, which is pedi #1 on the menu and cost $40. The hot wax was very hot and burned my skin leaving it red, the leg massage was uncomfortable because she kept rubbing the same spot on my shin repeatedly causing it to feel tender and sore. My nail polish is uneven with some lighter spots around the edges and darker in the center. Definitely, would not recommend this salon and I will not go back. There are many other nail salons with better prices, service and kinder employees. read more

This place is so unprofessional, I don't know how they stay in business! Tonight was the second time I made an appointment only to have someone else take the opening. Why bother taking appointments if you're not going to honor them. I work till 5 and with traffic can get to this salon in about 35-40 min. I made an apt for 5:30 for a pedicure and a repair. When my pedicure was done, a girl came over to tell me she didn't have time for my repair, only then to offer another customer, who was a walk in, a full set instead of the fill she wanted. Then today I made an apt for a full set, I showed up 10 min early to be told there were no openings. I explained I had called and had made an appointment. I was asked to have a seat and wait. 15 min later she started a set for someone else. 20min after my appointment time someone else walked in and got seen before me. So I left. I recently visited for pedicures to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and my usual salon and spa was not open. They were able to accommodate three walk-ins on a busy weekend day, right away. They use the Contego chair system, which is much cleaner than a traditional pedicure chair. My daughter also wanted a gel manicure, which looks great. (We'll see how well it holds up.) My one and only complaint is that they put my husband in a pedicure chair that was right against a pillar, meaning he couldn't use the massage features or recline it, which was a bit disappointing when many other chairs were available, and we each selected the "Royal" pedicure. He said it was actually very uncomfortable to sit in. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the salon is clean and spacious. read more

Went in here the other day with my mom. Let me say I was less than impressed. The way we were treated was completely annoying. We got there and we were the only people besides one other person. We both wanted a pedicure and I got a fill and she got a gel manicure. First of all, it was $40 for the pedicure with a "12 minute" foot massage but if I wanted a "15 minute" foot massage it was an additional 5 dollars.. that's the most retarded thing I have ever heard. But okay. Second of all, the lady who was doing my pedicure was literally digging for China on the side of my toe. It hurt so bad!! And then she kept getting up and leaving and just kind of walking around. Thirdly, when she went to start my fill she started it and then says " I be back in 5 minutes" and just starts walking around and then STARTS ON ANOTHER CUSTOMER.... wtf?! So I get moved from where I'm sitting, and I probably wait another 15 mins before another person starts my fill and says " thank you for waiting" ... like I had a choice!!! **updating after a bad experience*** Took my sister here for a mani pedi, and called ahead. Yet, they proceeded to start on a mother daughter who arrived about 25 minutes from us. It's been 45 minutes now. ***Update: Left after an hour and went to another salon, who was only a 6 minute drive away and was able to seat us after 5-10 minutes. The ladies at Red Persimmon seemed apologetic once we decided we were leaving and said it would be only 5 more minutes. Would have been better if they had communicated during the hour we spent waiting. It didn't look as if any of the technicians would be freed up, either-- nor did I want to spend any more time (or money) at that point at that point. While I understand places get busy, communicating with customers is important. Accurate timing, why 2 other customers went before us, or even an apology for the hour plus wait before we decided we had enough. We ended up being late to my sister's birthday dinner as a result. The other place had us in and out in a little over an hour. Not sure what's happened with the customer service here. Used to be great! Oh well. read more

I have been going here for about two years now whenever I get a chance. The good: The results are great. They really take their time. Usually at other places I know I will be out of there in less than an hour for a pedicure but here I am usually there for more than an hour, depending if I can afford the higher priced packages. I love how almost all the packages include a great scrub down. The BAD: It is pricey and that is why I don't always go there. But I don't go anywhere else either because I would rather save up to go here. Like most nail places you don't get much conversation going which I don't really like. I won't lie, the place is clean and nicely decorated but the service and the quality sucked. They used car salesman type tactis on me and kept trying to get me to add on unecessary treatments. It became awkward and uncomfortable having to repeatedly tell them no. I was asked to pay before my tips were even put on. That rubbed me the wrong way. Also, the price was on the high side. The salon is very clean and sanitary. 11 days later, my gel is still flawless! It's VERY clean. The pedicure chairs are amazing. All of the girls (and one guy) are very good at what they do. They take their time and I'm super impressed with their work. I usually get a deluxe pedicure and gel overlay on my natural nail. Where I used to treat myself once a month, I go every two weeks now! It's worth the cost! P.S. 1. This was my first time coming here. My old neighbor told me about this shop a couple years ago. First of all we were greeted with a friendly smile and welcoming caring atmosphere when we first walked in. They immediately helpTyler did my pink & whites ombré acrylics w/ a gel top coat.
