She spent way too long deciding between the figurines, so I looked around in the shop while she stared at them. They stock lots of eclectic, unique home decor items, so if you're looking for a special pillow or fabric or random glass ball -- and have the means -- this is a good option to check out. The folks who work here are really nice too. They chatted with us about the twig collection (apologies if the figurines have a real name that I'm omitting) and mentioned that Lori had had an event there in the recent past.

The salesman Terry showed us options for various open log kits and price ranges. When I described our system to him, he recommended that I call a repair person to see if it was repairable for about 1/5 the cost of a new system. Although we haven't determined it our old system is repairable or not, I want to point out that Terry was not at all the typical high-pressure salesman and suggested what could be a substantial savings. Although they stated they "did not do the install," the installer was directly connected to and recommended through them. Three years later, the flooring is separating and clearly showing signs of being installed too tightly, a known installation issue. Instead of standing behind the product and the partnership they promoted, the company has taken zero responsibility and has pushed the issue entirely onto the subcontractor. This is an extremely unprofessional way to handle a major flooring failure, especially given the cost and the fact that customers are led to trust their installer partnerships. Being passed around rather than supported has been frustrating and disappointing. I would caution anyone purchasing flooring here to get everything in writing and be aware that accountability may disappear if problems arise later.

We hired Flooring RVA to refinish existing floors and install new flooring in our home. While the…read moreproject was completed in November, our experience since then has been extremely frustrating. After the job was finished, there was no notification that the job was complete. In fact, several materials and tools were left scattered behind. We then discovered numerous issues and excessive damage caused during the process. This included problems with the subfloor, uneven stain coverage where the old stain shows through, gaps and transition issues, mismatched show moulding, and multiple baseboards that were torn off and not reattached correctly. There was also damage to surrounding walls and trim that occurred during the work. A representative from the company finally came out to review these concerns after numerous contact attempts. Upon reviewing the work in person, RVA flooring acknowledged that portions of the work were done incorrectly. We were assured the issues would be corrected and that someone would follow up to schedule the repairs. Unfortunately, that follow-up never happened. For months, we have made repeated attempts to contact the scheduling team to set a date for the agreed-upon fixes, but our outreach has largely gone unanswered. At this point, we are simply trying to have the workmanship issues and damage addressed as promised. We chose Flooring RVA expecting professional service, quality installation, and accountability. We are still hopeful they will stand behind their work and make this right, and we ask that someone from the company contact us to schedule the necessary repairs.
