Tony came out and found two leaks in the pool . One in the skimmer box and one in the tile area . He did a great job in a timely fashion . It was definitely worth the money to hire a professional to pressure test all the lines and go over the entire pool . I had Red Rhino come out to do a leak detection on my pool. They noted several areas where there were leaks most notably around my pool light. They patched the area temporarily which was around the light niche. They told me the cost to repair the light niche which involved removing the concrete around the niche. They came out, one technician who did not seem very confident about this repair but he finished it. After he left the spa where this light was leaked water. I call red rhino and they came out saying thefe was a leak in the conduit to the pool light. The technician repaired the leak with epoxy putty saying it was a temporary fix and that i needed the entire niche replaced now for more money when the niche was never the problem or the conduit. Now the tehporary patch job is leaking. After reviewing numerous videos on you tube on how to repair leaking conduit they should hVe used butyl tape around the conduit followed by epoxy after roughing up the metal and pvc conduit. In addition the light should have been left out for 24 hours to fully harden since any movement would potentiate a future leak. Well no butyl tape or waiting to put the light back. So now i have a leak and a niche that was fine before now leaking. Sorry but this is not the way to do business. I am not impressed. I contacted red rhino after the niche was resealed the first time and i never received a response. I am not very satisfied with their work and would think twice about using them. I am seeking another repair service where they use scuba gear instead of holding their breath to perform repair work. Awaiting a response from Red Rhino. read more

These guys are the BEST. I was losing water and contacted them. My pool is almost 30 years old. They found leakage in one of the jacuzzi inlets and recommended replacing all 5 because of the age of these. I agreed and I was amazed the effort expended in each inlet. I would never recommend Red Rhino Leak Detection to anyone. I called them when my pool was losing 3/4 inch of water per day. Their technician, Josh, came to my home to check out the pool and investigate the leak the same day. So far so good. After a couple hours, he informed us that we needed to replace the skimmer and the return line, which were both leaking. He wrote up a quote for a $2,700 complete repair. However, he failed to tell us that he decided to remove the old repair putty that was in place from a prior repair. Thus, as soon as Red Rhino left, the pool began leaking 6+ plus inches per day, a dangerous amount of water to be leaking from your pool. So, he charged us $300 to diagnose the problem but made it much worse, thereby putting us in a position that we had to immediately fix the problem. When I called Red Rhino to report that Josh's removal of the parts had greatly exacerbated the leak, their explanation was that "well, the prior repair was failing anyway." This is unprofessional, unacceptable, and dishonest to make the leak worse by removing a part without telling the customer, thereby increasing the likelihood that the customer will follow through with the $2,700 recommended repairs. I called Red Rhino the next day and they sent Josh back to replace the part he had improperly removed and the pool has not leaked AT ALL in the last 24 hours. Their $300 diagnostic "service" recommending that we pay $2,700 in repairs was a complete and total rip off and I will NEVER ever recommend to anyone. read more

We had the best experience using Red Rhino. We have a pool from 1975 that got a 6 foot crack in the deep end. We called Red Rhino and the were out within a few days to access the work. Then they were able to add us to the schedule in two days. Brady, the technician, was the most polite, knowledgeable, well mannered man. However I did speak with a really nice lady making the appt. had to change appt date d/t heater pool company had to come out first to service heater and they were really nice and gave me the option on what day for them to come. I agreed to a very expensive repair, and again, the techs that came out were of the highest order in their field. I had an issue though and was very uneasy about it the entire weekend. This is the most professional company I've ever worked with. We had six major, complicated leaks in our pool. They sent a crew to find all the leads and gave us a very fare quote. Five of the leaks were fixed as expected. The remaining leak ended up to be much deeper than originally thought. They spent an extra three days fixing it and did not charge me extra. We were supposed to have one van at our house with two people working and ended up sending three vans with six people to get the job done right. Again, no extra charge. It's funny how 90% of RR leak detections need a "major" repair. Other companies reported 20% They charge 3x more than any other company and will try to charge you extra just to use pool putty!! This is the second time I have used them. The first time was about 4 or 5 years ago and we had 3 leaks in our pipes and they were able to mark the spots within a foot or so where the leak was. Our pool size with an attached jacuzzi the leak detection is $350 and if you book for them to fix your repair within 7 days, they take $100 off the repair. Based on how large of a problem we had a few years ago we have been holding off getting this done to have the money to do repairs as well. The guy spent almost 3 hours here, in the rain getting in and out of the pool. Very nice and professional. I kept walking by the window wondering how many X marks I was going to see (X marks a leak in a pipe) Well, it turned out our leak was inside the broken pool light conduit and he patched it with epoxy so no additional repairs were needed. The repair was scheduled next day (pool skimmer replacement). It was a really big job, and completed very cleanly with all pavers reinstalled,recut, as needed and looking perfect with the area completely cleaned up. I just had a major leak repair done by Red Rhino and there are very significant issues with the job. The customer service contact told me last week that a manager would be contacting me to discuss and resolve the situation and after multiple follow-up messages, no-one has bothered to contact me or come out to look at it. This company is more interested in making the next buck than doing good work and resolving an issue when one arises. With all the great reviews, I was very confident in my decision to hire them but they have turned out to be another shitty S. FL company that delivers poor quality work and couldn't care less about it. Highly recommend if you need any major repair to keep looking. Red Rhino was recommended by our pool guy of Clean and Clear Pools. Josh came out and spend a few hours walking in waist deep pool water looking for our leak. After a few hours he had located three leaks. He showed us where they were by forcing a thin stream of dye through the system. The largest , though was a broken pipe under the pool deck ! After explaining the repair process to us we scheduled the repair. Jacob arrived the next morning and proceeded to cut away concrete on the pool deck and inside the pool where the leaks were. He filled buckets he had brought with the dirt from under the deck, which he then put back into the dug hole leaving the deck clean. The replacement concrete was molded to match our deck. A perfect square was cut around the surface above each leak inside the pool and covered back up with tile and diamond bright to match the areas. Both representatives of Red Rhino , Josh the leak detector and Jacob the repair man were professional,efficient and friendly. Neither one of these men were over bearing and both worked effortlessly and quietly on their tasks. The price was reasonable for the work done . Red rhino came out twice as the first guy was done in 15 minutes and thought he found the leak in a return. After I complained the head guy came out and found another leak in another return. Both repairs would require digging up my pool deck well over a thousand dollars. Two different results, they lost my trust. Turns out another company found the leak behind the light. I would not deal with this company! This has been my experience. They come out and charge $295 just to do a leak detection. Then they come up with a cockamamie story that they found the leak. They drained my pool 1/3 down and did some patches on the wall which now looks obvious! They think they fixed it and leave. I noticed the water level was still lower than normal so I called back. They tell me it's evaporation. Now it's 7-8 months later and I have to shut down the pool because I'm filling it up on a daily basis. They never correctly fixed my leak & I'm out $700! And their warranty? There is none! Beware beware before you deal with Red Rhino! Do not waste your money. UPDATE: after this review Red Rhino came back to investigate my complaint. They did find more cracks that were not found the first time. They were very nice and professional about this & took good care of me! I'm very pleased with the outcome and will use them again!
