They said they liked Crystal Clear Pools and the owner himself had installed their salt system. I had the pool system checked out by a good friend with a lot of knowledge of pools and my pool company that we have been using for almost 20yrs. They both noticed that the salt system was not working and that that Crystal Clear Pools had been using chlorine instead of the salt system to treat the pool. No one had let the previous owners know their salt system was not working but were aware since they were using chlorine instead. Also the pump was not priming all the way. The pump was the first thing noticed by my pool company and friend when they walked up to the system. The previous owners were surprised and had the owner himself come out and fix the salt system. He replaced the main board and charged them $600. They told me that the owner said that particular pump was supposed to only fill half way up and that was normal. I doubled checked with my pool company and my friend and they said that was not normal. Then I called the manufacturer of the pump. They also said it was not normal and that someone needed to look at the pump. I called Crystal Clear Pools and left a message for the owner. After a few days someone from the company called and said the owner would get back to me. He never did. I called the company again and still did not get a hold of anyone who could help or the owner. The previous owners of my house gave me the direct contact for the owner of Crystal Clear Pools. When I called his cell phone he answered. I explained about the pump. He was very nice and told me he would be out in a few days to look at it. I asked if the warranty on the pump was transferable to me and he said it was. Neither the owner from the pool company or anyone else showed up. I called a week later and left a message. I did not hear back. About a week after that I called and the owner picked up again. He was just as nice as the first time I talked to him. He apologized for not coming about and assured me he would be out in a week. When he did not show up again I texted him (see uploaded screen shot) and he responded back. I asked him to be honest if he was going to show up. He assured me he would. He never got back to me and I told him I was moving forward without him. Its now been over a month. I never heard back from him. I was very polite and I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was always nice and assured me he would be out but his actions sadly showed me that he had no intention of looking at the problem. I had my pool company fix the issue. While working it they noticed Crystal Clear Pools plumbed the pool pump to where you could barely remove the cap to get the basket out of the pump (See picture). I do not like leaving bad reviews but feel I need to in this case. The owner has not provided quality work, service, or honesty to the previous owner or myself. There are a lot of pool companies in the area. I would try one of them before I would try Crystal Clear Pools.

My husband and I hired Genero and Josie to replaster our pool the 2nd week of December 2025 at the cost of $6075.00. I added an extra $500.00 for an additional four weeks of start-up service. BIG PROBLEMS STARTED shortly after the completion. (1) I noticed I needed to add water to the pool every 3 days. Janero tested the water level and Josie told me it was normal to lose that much water due to evaporation. I went back to the store on and told Josie I was still adding water which I thought was odd. She again assured me that it was due to evaporation. I trusted her and Gernero and continued adding water to the pool. (2) The pool started to chip and peel around one of the skimmers, which my husband asked Gerero about earlier upon completion because the plaster there was buldging and off color. Josie said the plaster 'didn't cure correctly' and Geraldo told me he'd send someone over to fix the problem. They lowered the pool water and scraped and plastered the area. (3) The pool was filled back up. VERY SHORTLY AFTER, I was told that there were other places in the pool that 'didn't cure properly' and needed to be redone. The pool was emptied completely and the chipping began again... (4) Genero never came back to my property to skim, add chemicals, or do anything, as he had done before. He sent someone else that was here for less than 5 minutes. (5) We wanted our pool to operate like it did before all of this, so my husband asked Genero if we could hire them to service our pool until it got back to the way it was before. Genero told him they were all booked up (6) My husband went into the store to ask Genero about how to stop the bubbles from coming out of the skimmer and he told my husband that they didn't sell that type of equipment in the store and he needed to go somewhere else for it. I went in after my husband talked to him, and he dismissed me in the same way. (7) We hired someone else and were told that there was a leak in one of the pipes created by the plasterers, and now we plugged the leak and need to wait until winter to have our pool completely redone. I called and told Josie that I was completely upset with myself for trusting them and the least they could do was apologize. I told her I don't want them on my property because I think enough damage was done. I'm hoping that this helps others in making a better decision than I did.

The bait and switch sales approach is where it all began and everything starts out really well with the over promising and complete under delivery of the product. From not water proofing behind the very expensive glass tile so we have enormous calcium build up that diminishes and dulls the look of the tile, to the patio in constant need of repair because of the extremely poor installation, to the used equipment sold as new installed that was verified with PENTAIR as used. I had to pay a separate paver company $4k to try and fix my patio in several areas after paying $10 per sq ft for product. My pool is renovation is two years old and one of the four LED lights we had put in that was promised to last 10 years is already out and I cannot get a return call, text or email from Triple Play. This is the type of company they are if you wanna hire them. I spent over $70k for a renovation that I continue to have to pay other vendors to fix.
