First time trying the halo-halo from Red Ribbon and it didn't disappoint! So refreshing and packed with lots of delicious ingredients and textures in every bite. We also had a slice of strawberry cake which paired really well with it. The only downside was that our halo-halo and cake took quite a while to be served, but overall it was still a good experience and definitely worth trying! read more

Red Ribbon is a MUST to curb that Filipino food craving...location is conveniently located although parking can be a hassle. But no need to despair because your stomach will definitely thank you- whether you want something savory or sweet, Red Ribbon will not disappoint. Ambiance is casual. Interior is always clean and service is pleasant. Now let's get to the good stuff- the FOOD! Their empanadas are delicious- my favorites are the beef and pork, but the new spicy chicken is also tasty. The dough of the empanadas are not too dough-y, and the ratio of meat filling to shell is just right. They are never dry, consistently cooked and perfect for a quick, satisfying bite. For cold weather, try the arroz caldo, flavorful with patis and lemon! Pancit palabok is also one of my favorites (with extra sauce). Cannot neglect to mention their delicious mango cake which is airy, fluffy and light, with the perfect amount of mango flavor and cream. Sooo good! For a more decadent dessert, try the sansrival, a buttery, pistachio dessert that delights the taste buds. On hot days you can't go wrong with their halo-halo (shaved ice dessert). read more

Since we were already in the neighborhood, we dropped by Red Ribbon Bakeshop to grab a couple slices of cakes: a slice of tiramisu and a slice of mocha cake. When we entered the shop, there was one person in-line and a couple of other folks seated at the tables enjoying their purchases. The shop offered not only Filipino-style sweet confections but also savory baked goods like empanadas. The young man working behind the counter was professional and very courteous. This is a great place to pick up treats for family and friends (even last minute!). I'm a fan of more Asian style sponge in cakes and frosting that is not so cloyingly sweet. Recently ordered with them online and it was really easy. The staff are always sweet even when they are busy and have a long line. Cakes are reasonably priced too. Their mango cake is incredibly delicious! We had the ube cake with flan recently and it was a bit sweet but the sponge was oddly dry and no one liked it. read more

They were selling Easter goodie bags with EXPIRED items. Same day with mold. Expiration dates are day of or before. My mom didn't check because it's Easter themed. We don't have a receipt. I doubt they will refund us. It's such a shame cause I normally like Red Ribbon but this is a huge quality control issue and oversight. 3 stars for just the service. Picked up a large chocolate dedication cake for a birthday, they wrote on it really nicely for me. Also tried the caramel cake. The cakes...well they aren't rich. They are light & kind of..spongy? The icing is also not creamy, its hard to describe. Its more like..gel texture than frosting? Hard to describe, but its not something I would buy again. If there's a lower rating than 1 star, I will give it a 0. I called the store to plaçe an order on Thursday, Feb 5, for a party on Sunday, Feb 8. I was told by a staff that it's better to place my order online to get a $5 on orders $50 or more. I placed my order of Ube overload cake and pancit palabok party platter online and paid a total of $77+. The $5 coupon code didn't work though, but it was okay. But when my husband came to pick up my order, they said they ran out of ube overload cake and insisted of giving him another cake of the same price. The ube cake was requested by our friend who was celebrating her birthday! It was very frustrating since it was ordered and paid for a few days before. There's no excuse for this kind of service! Somehow, there's always a line here. I've never actually had any of the hot food on the menu because I'm such a sucker for their baked goods. Being that my stepmom, and now my boyfriend are both Filipino I have been introduced to Filipino snacks, and goodies and I am becoming obsessed. They are not cheap, a 6 pack of mango bars and 6 pack of mamon together will run you about $30 now, but they're always so fresh and moist, and the mango bars have real mango chunks in them and are so flavorful. All of the flavors of the mamon are good but the Ube is the clear front runner for me, followed by the mocha. I'm hooked!! Got to slow down before i go diabetic. I even checked if they ship to Florida because we were celebrating the holidays in the Bay Area. (They do not, lol) In a way I'm glad bc i don't need all the sugar! I was in need of a cake recently, and have been to different Red Ribbons in the past, so I knew this would be a great option. I went in on a weekday morning and was helped right away. I decided to go with the rectangular mango cake! I've had the circular version in the past, and it was super tasty (this cake wound up being super delicious, and everyone loved it!). The lady who was helping me wrote an inscription as well, and it came out super nice, and she was really quick!
