I can't explain how happy my husband and I are with our decision to have Glenn with Red Ring Studio film our wedding. We chose to have a very small ceremony with only our immediate family and closest friends on a beach in Hawaii, and we wanted a very small budget to go with it. Glenn was willing to work with us to make the perfect package for us within our budget, and while some would say this is risky, we were delighted with the result. The morning of the wedding (yes we were married at sunrise!) we met with Glenn and his "crew", and along with our photographer and the coordinator we walked down to the beach and proceeded to have our photo shoot before the ceremony. I personally think that it's incredibly important to be able to mesh well with your photographer and videographer because otherwise the whole experience will be awkward and result in uncomfortable looking photos and video. That was definitely not the case here, Glenn was very personable, friendly and yet and unobtrusive. For the most part we were just going about our photo shoot and loving each other that morning, and Glenn was able to capture the best of it! And obviously the most important part is the end result... the video you get to take home with you. Let's just put it this way, I watched it with my husband, and we both cried. Then we had our grandmothers watch it, and they cried. Then we had our whole families over for a party to watch it, and they all cried! The video is stunning, truly telling the story of us that day. The TL;DR; version: Red Ring Studio is amazing and I would highly recommend. The long story is that my wife and I spent over a year and a half planning our wedding. Given the amount of time we had to plan, we meticulously looked over every potential vendor and service that we wanted to have. Having a great wedding video of our wedding was one of our most important needs (after all, you're paying a lot for a wedding). We looked at over half a dozen vendors and Red Ring proved to be the best from their sample videos. We really liked their cinematography, the usage of drones, and their overall style. We contacted them and they were one of the most responsive. When we chatted with Glenn, it was very easy and he patiently answered all of our questions. We felt good vibes from him and were really happy with his process. We immediately made the commitment and sent in our deposit. 6 months later, on our wedding day, Glenn and his crew showed up right on time. It was great to meet him finally him and they were extremely professional. He had everything ready and it went smoothly. It was pouring on our wedding day but Glenn never complained or made any excuses (though I am sure the rain makes everything 10x harder). Working with Red Ring will be, hands down, one of the absolute best moves you can do for your wedding. I simply cannot rave about them enough, and even doing so makes me a little sad that we won't be working with these guys anymore now that the wedding is over! We ending up flying over for an impromptu 5-day planning trip last August and they were flexible enough to meet us over coffee for the first time. At first we were not going to have a videographer at all at our wedding, but we decided to get one at the last minute. After yelping and contacting several companies, we had a few to choose from. We ended up making the best decision by hiring Red Ring Studio to do our videography! PRICE: This of course varies in what you want, but they are competitive prices when comparing with most videography packages on the island. Not only are they affordable, but the quality of their work is exactly what we were looking for. SERVICE: Glenn (owner) was very informative about his work and the packages they offer, but what really stuck out was his work ethics. We held a phone conference first to share what we were looking for and to get a feel about each other. You can tell that one of his priorities is to make sure they understand who you are as a couple. Another priority is to know the other people who will be around on your big day. He wanted to make sure he was able to contact our wedding coordinators and our photographer (we hired a family friend) so that there is some kind of connection before the big day. We take in to consideration about who we work with and the vibe we get, and it was an easy choice after meeting Glenn. He was also very easy to contact through email and phone/text. This was convenient and helpful! On the day, Glenn and his partner, Kenji, worked amazingly together and with everyone else. VIDEO: We got our video in about 2 weeks after the wedding! This was amazing! Everything is online so there was no waiting for something to be mailed. He simply emailed us the link and a password. Another convenient thing about this was that we can easily share it with our friends and family. Our loved ones who live all cover the world can now view the wedding! They even added a one-minute "instagram highlight" so you can easily share it on social media! QUALITY: The video quality was amazing. Everything was crisp and the editing was perfect. It was exactly how we wanted it. The shots, the lighting, the music. We were in awe. One of the main things we wanted was the video to grasp who we were as a couple and how the night went. My husband and I planned our elopement to Hawaii in a month and a half, and we knew we wanted to share moments of our special and secret day with everyone when we returned home to Chicago. No question, it was important for us to hire a videographer. My husband and I got married on Maui about a week ago and the Red Ring team was willing to fly to our island for our wedding. Everyone was so friendly and they made the filming environment so comfortable (I'm kind of an awkward person in front of the camera). They did an amazing job with our videos. I've gotten so many compliments on how well done our SDE was (Chloe absolutely crushed it with the editing!). Our ceremony and reception videos were also very well done. We had our destination wedding on July 5, 2016. The ceremony was at St. Augustine and reception at Lanikuhonua. I live in California and was not sure if I would be able to make a trip out to Oahu before the wedding. I did my research on videographers online and my one criteria was that they were able to do same day edits and their videos made me cry. After watching so many wedding videos, Red Ring Studio had the cinematographic style that I wanted for our video. I went ahead and put in my deposit 15 months before our wedding even before meeting with Glenn. Glenn was very responsive with emails or texts. We booked them for Same Day edit, Love Story, Save the Date video, Photobooth, and Ceremony/Reception video. It was the whole shebang. We came out to Oahu on August 2015 to do some wedding planning. We had our first meeting with Glenn at a coffee shop and he is one of the coolest guys you'll meet. He is so laid back and flexible, but such a hard worker. We shot some footage for our love story while on this visit to Hawaii. I'm not comfortable in front of a camera, but he really made us feel at ease. He took really good shots of my husband and I as well as my kids. His style really captures the natural side, and nothing seems too forced. Fast forward to the wedding. Glenn even agreed to shoot additional footage a few days before our wedding to include into our SDE and love story. Our wedding day was a long day, ceremony was at 11am and reception ending at 10pm. Glenn and his team even came a couple hours early to get some footage of my husband getting ready before coming to my hotel room. The entire team were so easy to work with and I barely even noticed they were there, allowing me to enjoy my wedding day to the fullest. The SDE/love story was amazing. I could not get enough compliments as to how great it was. My friends have seen many SDE and they say this has to be one of the best ever. I can't help replaying it ever since he released it to us the very next day! It makes me cry everytime. We got a flash drive of our love story, SDE, full wedding video and raw footage within 3 weeks of our wedding, which is just phenomenal. The video itself is unbelievable. All of my guests are asking for copies already. Glenn was our favorite wedding vendor and now a new friend to us. We even had dinner a few days after the wedding to thank him for all his hard work. I'm currently living in Vegas, and had planned to propose in Napa California. But a good friend of mine was having his baby's first bday, so we flew back home instead just for the weekend. So I needed to figure out a new proposal plan. I could have done the whole hotel thing and have family deck out the room while we were away. But that has been overplayed. I needed something more memorable and nothing suspicious, something where the moment could be captured. Glenn and his team did an absolutely incredible job on our wedding video. I did weeks of research and all the other videographers around the big island were too old school or too expensive. It was such a relief to have him shoot our wedding video. He was patient understanding and very accommodating. It's been over a year already but it still pisses me off... communication up to booking RRS for videography and photo booth was excellent... they came highly recommended by a friend so I trusted them that I didn't need to go Bridezilla on them up to the wedding. Come wedding day: around 7pm, I noticed our photo booth was missing. I asked my coordinator to check up on it and it turns out they "forgot but will give you a refund for it" WTF. NO. YOU GO AND GET IT. So they did. They set up at about 9pm... and get this, on the photo print out, they had the WRONG DATE. Anyway, absolutely no apology in person came our way. Not in email form or letter form. Nada. Couple of months later, the USB for our video came in and again... WTF. I could've just asked my high school cousin to do it for us. It was predominantly a recording of our vows :( I asked them specifically to make sure to capture the GUESTS. I don't want to see my face. I want to see our guests and the whole event. The transitions were choppy and there were absolutely very minimal footage of the reception. I was so sad. And angry. Two emotions you don't want to feel when you think about your wedding. I brushed it under the carpet bc I know it's not important to our marriage but as someone who also owned her business: tsk tsk tsk. To sum up: -photo booth was over 2 hours late - wrong date on photos - disappointing video - still collected full amount - no apology. read more

We consider ourselves lucky to have had Red Ring shoot our photos and video. From the initial contact we had with Glenn, to receiving our edited photos and video, they were consummate professionals.
