The prices and different options\upgrades of their packages are very competitive and was flexible for our needs and wedding budget. They checked all the "must have" boxes in what I was looking for my wedding Videographer/photographer. Best Wedding Photo/Video on the island :-) As our first wedding (hopefully the only), we shopped around and did our research. At first we were going to pick multiple vendors but in the end we decided to go with the standard wedding package which covered the entire wedding. Good thing we did, because it was well worth it! We didn't have to worry about our intoxicated uncle taking crooked pictures or shaky video. Sean and Brandan know what they're doing. They arrived on time while we were getting ready and took shots as we went along. We even snuck away to take some beach and sunset photos during the reception. The package also comes with a highlight video (with drone), album, and full wedding video. We paid a deposit and the final amount after the wedding with a check. I was in San Diego desperately looking through Yelp, weddingwire, theknot and every website you can think off for our photo and video guys. Not sure what platform I found them but the fact that they have Photo and Video together already beats almost all the competition in the island. Their packages our great and has a variety on whether you want a simple photo and video or you want to go all out. Contacting them was great it was very easy, email or text them they are awesome.(plus get this, I work graveyard and I would answer emails during my break and they would reply to me. A+++) I liked that they have the package on their website and although they don't have the price listed next to it, it was just an e-mail away and i got all the info I need. As opposed to the competition where they make you go through hoops just to get pricing. Branden and Sean (I believe owners) are absolutely amazing!! I first contacted the business via Yelp and inquire about some photography taken prior to, and firing the wedding ceremony, due to my limited budget, I was able to get an hour for engagement photo shoot, and an hour for ceremony and briefly after. I'm going to be honest and say that after inquiring about prices with about 10 businesses, this is the misery affordable photographer with the best quality! The engagement photo shoot was done by Lila (absolutely bubbly and talented), we did it up on round top near sunset time, OMG! The pictures came out so amazing and better than I wanted it to be!!! Lila was great in directing us as to how to pose, where to pose, I'm very happy with her! During the ceremony, Sean (I believe) was running around the entire room to get the best shot of us, he's running to the front to get a good picture of me and my now husband, my maid of honor, the best man, both mothers, I did not regret spending any money on these people because all those pictures captured I could not have done it myself!! Towards the end, the photographer asked to take a pixie of my husband and i,and still manage to get a group photo (extra extra brownie point because it's been a long time since our extended family got together in one photo!)!! We booked Pure Media Hawaii for photography and videography services for our destination wedding in July, and we just received our photos and they are absolutely beautiful!! For most of the booking/planning process, we worked with Brandan and he was very flexible and responsive. He really made our destination wedding planning very easy by responding to emails, phone calls, texts and also worked with our budget. One of the best things about this company is that they do both photo and video services. When we were inquiring with other vendors, very few of them did both that would fit our budget. This made the wedding planning process much easier especially having one point of contact. Sean and Brandan did our photo and video the day of our wedding and they were extremely flexible and very easy to work with. Completely disappointed! I wish I only hired the photographer Sean because he seemed to be the only professional of the two. Had I been in contact with him instead I would've gotten more of what was expected in my photos and videos. Brandan lacked complete communication. I had to constantly "hunt" him down just to get a response. My husband and I live in California so communication via text or email was key in this transaction. My wedding was in January and it took Brandan 6 months and tons of excuses to finally get what we paid for. The highlight video looked completely rushed. He "edited" the ceremony and reception of the wedding but only the ceremony was viewable on the media stick provided. None of the videos were centered and at good vantage points. I am at the point where I don't even want to bother asking for a working copy because it was frustrating enough to even get a hard drive. It was like pulling teeth just to get this guy to do his job that we paid for. To add insult to injury we explicitly asked for a drive stick that is MacBook compatible and instead received 2 USB sticks (not Apple compliant). Luckily, I requested the raw footage which I will then have a friend in the industry re-edit. I honestly regret hiring PURE MEDIA HAWAII, Brandan's poor communication skills, attention to detail, and professionalism is pathetic. Save your money and hire elsewhere. When shopping online or at the many wedding expos here in Hawaii, there are a lot of videographers and photographers that offer almost the same thing, HOWEVER Pure Media Hawaii got me from that one phone call with Sean. I called around and he was the only one that stayed on the phone to answer ALL my questions! Some weren't probably all wedding related but he walked me through the packages so I could best make a decision. Photography sessions were VERY flexible and Brandan even hiked into Nu'uanu to get the perfect shot with the scenery we wanted. Talk about stellar service. There were perspectives pure media's team caught that gave you a sense of that "love" emotion that every bride and groom envisions at their own wedding. From laughs to happy tears to just focusing on us as a couple, you got it all and more. Every detail of the wedding, the reception, the décor even the video pan of the clear tents & Lanikuhonua grounds were simply breathtaking. I did my research for about a year on different companies and I am 110% pleased with my choice. I saw many wedding videographer styles and I don't think I'm being biased based on the feedback I received still to this day. I'd like to also share that I feel my video wasn't "overdone" or "staged" as I realize sometimes it can be perceived that way...totally not the case with their work, they were in the moment with us, but never in the way. They listen to what you really want and turn it into something so much better. They also do customized packages which is a plus! We were referred to Sean and Brandan from our wedding planner, and I must say I was a little iffy. Being that I tend to scope businesses on Yelp first and could not find them on Yelp. That's where we met Brandan Lee at one of the wedding expos. Once he told us that they indeed have a drone, we then started looking into their portfolio and were blown away by the quality of their photos and videos. My wife and I knew that this was what we wanted for our wedding. We had reached out to inquire about their services, and Sean Michel quickly responded back. They were very organized and always followed up when we were caught up with the stressful event planning which helped a lot. We liked that they were always on top of things. Sean and Brandan were able to accommodate our 2 engagement shoots on the same day so that my wife didn't have to schedule another makeup session with her makeup artist. The first shoot in the morning and second in the evening. Being that we're camera shy, both photographers made my wife and I comfortable for our shoots. They were able to capture beautiful photos that we've never thought could happen. After the photo shoots, we requested for some photos to print to display at our wedding reception table, and Sean was able to get that to us in 2 days. On the big day, Pure Media Hawaii did such a great job with the coverage of the event. They had 2 additional photographers to capture our special day. Both were also easy to work with and made it fun. We were so glad we went with the same day edit because it was perfect. They were able to capture joyful tears and smiles that still gets us emotional when we watch it. The same day edit blew our guests away with the quality and aerial shots that were taken. We watch it over and over again because we've never seen footage this amazing before. Overall, I would definitely use Pure Media again in the future.
