Hi. This is Rita Miller in Glendale. I don't know who to contact. Many weeks  ago Red River garbage truck hit our mailbox. I actually saw him hit our brand new box. I was on our driveway hollering STOP. He said he didn't hit the box, but the truck was still against the box.  He got out and took a look at the box. The truck was still against it. He got back in his truck, backed his truck up, then got out again,  straightened the mailbox on the post, got the door closed, straightened the flag, so he could take a photo as proof that he didn't hit it.  I have called Red River ever since summertime. I sent a video of the box loose on the post. Proof of the box price where I purchased it on Amazon. It was brand new. The post in concrete wasn't damage. All I asked for was a new box and we would cover installation.  I call. They have an assortment of lies. So, the question is who do I contact? Is there someone over Red River? Well, even before Red River was purchased by Platform Waste, we've gone through long periods where delivery was skipped entirely...Platform Waste seems to have resolved that issue for the time being. They're regularly running trucks and seem to have at least developed a regular schedule. However, their service is still completely lacking. In 8 of the last 9 weeks, large pieces of other people's loose, unbagged plastic trash has been left in my yard after pickup has happened. At least two of those weeks, a closed ten gallon bag of my own trash was left (not picked up) from inside my curbside wheelie bin. (The rest of the trash from the wheelie bin was picked up.) That's probably because they're operating outside (what at least used to be) standard daylight operating hours inside Etown city limits, as early as sometime between 3 and 4 am at times. It doesn't make it acceptable, but if it's pitch black outside, one can see how trash is overlooked. They offer senior and military rates (and have significant contracts with the county), but it is clear, you don't even get what you pay for with their service. read more

If I could select 0 I would. They have such a lackadaisical approach to Customer Service. They don't seem to care if your trash is picked up. They don't care about the conditions of the bins you are expected to use. If you call with concerns about this you are not treated with the respect a customer desrves. They are always blaming someone else for no trash pick up. If they have been providing such bad customer service for so many years..HOPEFULLY the new owner UDC will take this into consideration and put someone who cares in the office. read more

Two weeks we have had to bring our cardboard to the road for a bulk pick up, and for the second week it was left! We have called the office with not answering or call back! Driver stated today the truck is full , and they will now get it next week... but what if the truck is "full" again? We pay for a service and expect to get what we pay for! This makes the forth or fifth time I have had to call on a Wednesday and remind them of my neighborhood pick up on Tuesday. I pay my bill on time, without questioning the price increase. When they clearly can not make it on time, ever. Everytime I have called, ironically management is not in the office and they refuse to provide ANY information to contact them. It is absolutely disgusting that Hardin county signed a contract with this company and forced those of us that live just outside of city limits to pay for their services and not have options. My neighbors are regularly having pick up issues, I have my own too but not as much as them. The driver's three years ago were great. Not now. Today I was coming home and the garbage truck was in the middle of the road and I was waiting. The gentleman at the back of the truck saw me waiting and as soon as it was clear he waved me around. Without fail, every week I have to clean up broken glass, soiled toiletries, shredded paper because the lazy garbage workers just can't seem to do their job properly. There's always nasty liquid stains on the street that you can see and smell for days after. Absolutely the trashiest trash company in the area. R&R sent me a email Sunday night telling me that they would not pick up on Labor Day but would Tuesday. Well Monday evening I put my trash cans out, Tuesday came and they didn't pick up my trash. I called their office and they said the driver said my cans wasn't out. Well the driver lied I have it time stamped on my camera it was sitting by the road 1730 Monday evening. I am very disappointed in RR waste they failed to pick up my garbage so I called Hardin co office and that was a joke first I was told it hadn't run yet but all my neighbors were picked up so I called back then they said my garbage was not out in time so I informed them that I always put it out the night before pick up so after multiple calls I was told they where going to look at film footage and would call me right back well it's been four days still no call all I wanted was an apology not to be lied to no company should have rude people answer there phones not a good way to run a business read more

It is like Red River Waste is TRYING to go out of business. We signed up with them in 2020 and the first few months, we had no issues. Then, they started missing pick ups, won't credit account, got rid of the dumpster you could use if they didn't show up to get your trash. They won't answer the phone and just put on a recording. It has now been over 2 weeks since they've picked up our trash. It has been rained in and sat out in 90 degree heat. Absolutely embarrassing to have this mess in my front yard. We are moving out of the area this week and need our trash picked up. I should have switched service last year. Do not use this company. read more

When everything is running smoothly, it's fine. However, they've had some issues with truck maintenance leading some people to have trash just sitting. That should never happen. The trucks should be maintained for one, but they should have a business continuity plan (a plan b) on how the trash will get picked up if they do have an issue. Prices for some services (like a temporary driveway dumpster) can be high (in this example mostly because they only offer one size and it's huge - far larger than you'd need for a short term project around the home). My primary complaint though is that they can be very hard to reach by phone. I get voice mail the vast majority of times I've had to call, and that mailbox turned out to be full meaning I couldn't leave a message. When some service interruptions did occur, they didn't even bother to update the VM greeting with a status update so customers would at least all know what was going on if they called. But I'd also like to reinforce that when the trucks are up, weather is ok, and there aren't other aggravating factors, they're fine. I will say every sanitation engineer I've interacted with has been polite and professional. read more

Today my trash was at least picked up. I noticed my can that they issue me and I pay for, you know the only thing they will pick up your trash in....was broken. Honestly both my cans are broken in some way. I called to get a replacement and they said well if it's minor isn't it something you can live with? I pay rental for these cans why would I live with it? I was then told if I wanted to haul it to them they would replace it and was very rude about it. I have noticed lately that the trash guys are careless and throwing things around. Possibly just a bad attitude and rude customer service. This company is a JOKE. The customer service that they provide is horrible. I cancelled my services a year ago almost to the day and I am still owed a refund. I paid 180$ and that should have gotten my garbage to Sept 1, 2023 but instead they cut my garbage off still showing the payment I made. I should have received a check for 68$. I am STILL waiting on my refund and I have called several times only to have crappy customer service, and no phone calls back by any manager which i requested every time I have called. Horrendously unprofessional. CONSTANTLY late with pickup or no pick up at all. for a full almost 2 years now they have stated that pickups are late due to "staffing issues". To be blunt their staffing issues are not my concern. I pay to have my trash collected, I pay for a service, and they are basically stealing from me by refusing to provide the service time and time again. They have also refused to provide me with a second can because "they don't have anyone to deliver it". If I could give zero stars I would and I don't even have them as a waste management service. RR Waste Solutions truck driver had a line of about 17 cars behind him on a rural road and would speed up so no one could pass, when able to, on a dotted yellow line. Man riding on the back of the truck was flipping people off who attempted to pass. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing for the company. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Do NOT use this company. They have the worse customer service I've ever experienced in my 42 years of life. They are so bad I canceled my service 2 months early and I already paid for 3 months. No one ever answers the phone or returns phone calls. My family use to make bets if they would pick up our trash on our scheduled day. We are going on week 3 on no trash pick up due to the weather, meanwhile other garbage companies have picked up all our neighbor's trash a day after the storm. read more

Tidy and affordable service, polite office staff, friendly pickup crew who never leave behind even a small bit of fallen trash as one of the other services tend to. RRWS also has free large item haul away once a billing cycle. As of March 2019 they still don't offer curbside recycling (only reason for 4/5) like yet another of the many other trash service groups here, but they also cost a handful less. read more

My scheduled pickup day is Thursday. When my garbage was not picked up I called Red River waste office in Elizabethtown on Friday, they indicated they would pickup Monday. It was not picked up on Monday so I called again Monday evening, this process was repeated again Tuesday. Currently Wednesday and garbage is still not picked up. They have not picked up on scheduled day multiple times. When I call the office, and the phone mail box is not full or they decide to pickup the phone the answer is useless. They say they will call the driver and try and get someone to pickup the garbage, but it does not happen. I can't believe Hardin County government signed a contract with this poor excuse for a garbage company. read more

Red River waste Solutions is my mandatory garbage pick up. I own my own can and their pick up guys have destroyed my can! We have to repair it several times from their abuse. My 89 year old neighbor has the same problem. They are very rough on our containers and throw them on the ground and excessively use their equipment to empty our cans. Not pleased at all! read more

I do appreciate the men that came today for my trash. 02/04/2020 I needed a chair taken from my porch to throw away and they were so kind as to carry it to the road for me. I started service yesterday, the assured me that he would pick up today so I put out my trash at 10 pm in 11" of snow and ice. After 2pm I called and the driver had claimed we didn't put anything out, he was by at 7am and they refused to come get it. , HOW HARD IS IT TO DO THE JOB?? I just saw this place and had hope it was reliable and no, its one thing to miss us or maybe it wasn't on the route ect...but no they LIED and said we didn't put anything out. Theres 15 bags and I regret I just started with a service that obviously to save time the route collectors just lie on the customers...and when the same lady WHITNEY said she had no control over anything, although it was she that guaranteed we would have service...they just blame one another and I hope they are proud of ripping me off as I am putting a stop payment on my check today. they didn't do the service, and blamed me for it. I recently signed up for your service during a visit to my house by your sales rep. He gave me a card to mail to cancel my previous service contract and said the company would refund the unused portion of my last quarterly payment. That did not prove to be true. My previous company, Waste Management, said they would cancel my contract effective at the end of the quarter, May 31st, and would not refund any portion of my payment. Your rep gave me information that he should have known to be false. Not very good way to grow your business. In addition, when you delivered the RR trash can to me it was coated with caked on yellow mud that took me about an hour to clean off. I am disabled and have a difficult time doing such work, especially when it should have been done by you. I am a dissatisfied new customer. I hope the future provides a better experience. read more
