The piercer, Courtney I think, is amazing and made sure to check my anatomy to see what kind of jewelry would suit me best and have the lowest chance of rejection. I didn't end up getting the piercing, but I'm super impressed with the holistic approach to giving a piercing that is complementary to someone's body, and not risking any rejection or infection. i don't normally leave reviews but this place left a bad taste in my mouth i can't get out. i went in to just get some jewellery and was treated very rudely and was given no helpful information to help with my situation. i had been pierced at another shop months prior but was looking to get quality new jewellery for piercing, so i thought this would be the perfect place to go. while their jewellery selection is top tier, the service and attitude i was treated with in front of other clients too was beyond rude, condescending, and unhelpful. i ended up getting the wrong size bar (my fault), and when i went back to down size, the new bar i was given was only 1mm smaller. this resulted in me getting gum damage and pain from having the wrong downsize, which i made clear i needed a smaller size. i won't ever be going here again unfortunately, as i love to support local businesses. i just hope my review can be used to shape the way the piercer speaks with and handles their customers in the future. read more

My daughter wanted her ears pierced and I began to look for the best place to go to get it done professionally. I was shocked to see the pricing for a simple ear piercing! $80??? We were looking for a belly piercing, so my daughter called ahead to check availability. We called ahead to make sure the time was available and that we had all needed documents for the service. When we called we told the receptionist that we were on our way to the shop. When we arrived, we were told that we could not be seen for another several hours, even though we arrived within ten minutes of our call to confirm the time. When I asked the receptionist what happened in the last ten minutes, we got a very snarky, "well availability can change at a moments notice" Beautiful shop. Not very good customer service. We will stick to the traditional Red Room, where we have always gotten great and straight forward work and service. read more

I'm pretty unhappy with my experience here. The people at the front desk were always nice but I got my belly button done by Stacia and when it wasn't healing after a month I went back to ask for a smaller bar and she refused, saying I was supposed to come back in 2 months even though the card she gave me said 1. She made me feel very judged and uncomfortable when I said I was doing saltwater soaks, which other piercers have recommended to me in the past. I then opted to buy my own jewelry online because I didn't want to go back to see her. When I eventually did go back because it still wasn't healing she encouraged me to buy a bar from them again because mine wasn't real titanium, but seemed unconcerned about how much the jewelry had migrated. I went back the next day and a different piercer was there, they were honest with me that it did seem like it was migrating, and I had them take it out. I'm not saying that I did everything right here, but I'm pissed that I spent all that money just to end up taking the jewelry out and felt judged and misled by the piercer. I moved to Chico not long ago and was looking for a piercing shop in the area. And I happen to come across this place. Let me tell you I am absolutely in love! The space is beautiful and the staff is so freaking friendly and helpful. Rowan has done a few of my piercings now and I will absolutely not go to anywhere else in Chico. Everything felt super safe and clean and comfortable, all of my questions were answered beautifully. I took my friend to get his septum done for his birthday and it came out perfect. I am so thankful to have found this spot and to have such an amazing piercer like Rowan!! They also have a amazing selection of really incredible jewelry. A lot of really unique pieces! i came here for my second helix, daith, and rook. evan advised me to get either the rook or daith since they're both difficult piercings to heal and i wanted them on different ears, i took their advice and got my daith and helix done. evan was incredibly accommodating, there was a point where i felt a bit lightheaded and they gave me some glucose tablets to help with my blood sugar which i have never been given from a piercing studio before. they were very funny and made me feel very comfortable and listened to, probably the best experience i've had with a piercer. i got the cheapest options for jewelry and my total was about $140 before tip, which is a lot cheaper than any APP approved studios, which red room adorned isn't but they are APP compliant. read more

I had actually been recommended Rowan by a friend and that was exactly who I saw. My decision was somewhat spontaneous, so I was amazed they were able to schedule me that day! This jewelry is sometimes overpriced unless you go super basic. I used to get it at their tattoo shop, now the tattoo shop directs me to here. Ive been going to Redroom for jewelry for many years. This shop sometimes will not be completely upfront about prices until you get to the register...even if you ask prior. It was over $300 just for one helix stud for my already pierced ear. $25 for a basic threadless nose stud without the back. I like the nose rings but have found they become loose and are easily pulled out by accident within 6 months or less. That unfortunately keeps me coming back and buying more because I've been getting this style for so long from their sister store and am not sure where else to go. The girls were really nice and do always try to help me as much as possible, even on short notice. read more

I wanted to love this place so bad! If you are in a location like this, right next to a college, please be honest and upfront about your prices! I was so excited to get my lobes pierced. So unimpressed with this shop. I've made custom jewelry orders with them multiple times before that they never bothered to place, and had a pretty terrible experience there this morning. I came by to have my nose ring swapped out and to buy jewelry, so I picked out my jewelry and set an appointment for a half hour later, letting them know I was in a rush to get to my job (to which the employee behind the counter replied "f**k work."). When I arrived exactly a half hour later and the piercer was told I arrived, she acted like it was an extreme inconvenience and I was bothering her by being there for my appointment. She then told me she wouldn't see me for another half an hour "at least" because she needed to sanitize my jewelry (which takes 5 minutes- if you're a capable and professional piercer). I asked why this wasn't done in preparation for my appointment considering I had already picked out jewelry and they knew I was coming and on a time constraint. Again, they responded with more rudeness, so I got up and left. I don't want people who treat me that way near my face with sharp objects, nor do I have any interest giving them the hundreds of dollars I planned to spend. I left and walked a block over to Pure Gold Studios where I was welcomed and treated kindly and promptly by Cherie. Never going back to Red Room Adorned. read more
