Sandwiches were very good however customer service could use improvement. We came in 30 minutes before close and ordered a couple sandwiches and Savanna, our server made several comments just to make it clear we were inconveniencing her; comments such as "You can eat here if you hurry" and "Well I thought my day was over". Now I would understand if we came in 10 min before close, but we had a whole half hour, very rude if you ask me. read more

Huge pieces of quiche delivered by friendly young service - either inside or drive through. It's on the main road so grab some food then drive up to the 531 and find a bench in the old part of town. Free wifi at the library even when it's closed. read more

This is a great bakery with delicious soups and pastries! I tried the huckleberry smoothie recently and loved it! Ther servers are great, very friendly and prompt in service. I really enjoyed eating here on my lunch hour and cannot wait to try all of their soups and chicken pot pies this winter! I would recommend this bakery to anyone! read more

Really love their scones. They make big sandwiches with chips -- very tasty -- to stay or go. I always get the sandwich special of the day and have never been disappointed. This place is popular at lunch, so be prepared to wait in line inside or in the drive through. read more

On any other day I would've left a similar rating to all the other folks who love this bakery. But today, I ordered a grilled sandwich, only to find when I got home that it wasn't even warm, much less grilled, and didn't even have all the extras ordered. Then after calling for 30 min straight, realize that the phone is off the hook.... What a disappointment. read more

Arrived at 9 am for breakfast - ordered but were told sharply "we're done making French toast this morning". Ordered and then paid. Then we're informed that they were out of eggs and bacon. Offered egg "mix" from a box for scrambled eggs. Asked for slice of quiche instead but was told there would be extra charges. So one person asked for oatmeal instead and guess what? No oatmeal. In the meantime, 15 minutes, we only received 2 of the 6 coffees we ordered. Needless to say we got up and left. They did give us the two coffees for free. Our little family loves this little place. We make it a point to take Great Grandma when we visit her. My son enjoys the beautiful artwork on the walls and the gorgeous views of the Montana Mountains through the windows. Breakfast food is delish & we love the lemon bars. read more

Good food, but it's really slow. If you have anything to do within the hour I don't recommend going here. I've been here probably around 10 times, and every time it has just been painstakingly slow. I've waited upwards of 40 minutes in the drive through from the time they took my order to the time they gave me my food. Fantastic food, wonderful bread of several varieties baked daily, very homey and relaxing decor. They are VERY popular so finding a table at noon is really hard, but the food is so worth it! The deck opens up in the summer for extra room and they offer take out so you have that option, too. You can park next door in the old auto repair parking lot, so that is no longer an issue. And, they post their daily menu on Facebook, so you can call in and order ahead of time to make sure you don't miss out (Wednesdays are AMAZING Flakey Crusted Chicken Pot Pie days so you had better call in in the morning and reserve yours!) I went in yesterday afternoon to buy lunch for my friend and I. There was no one else either eating or waiting for their food order. After ordering and paying, I waited 15 minutes with no results. I asked the counter help about my order and she told me it was being boxed to go. After another 15 minutes, I asked for my money back and left. The order was for quiche, which has been prepared in advance and just needs to be reheated. This was unnecessary and unacceptable. The food has always been great, I am a long time customer. I will never go back again due to the extremely poor service I have received the past two times I was in there. read more

3/13/13' I recently spoke with the owner, Anna at The Red Rooster regarding catering an event for me in Hamilton. I explained to Anna that I was new to town & wanted her to cater for 60ppl (local medical community/doctors and staff) and told her I wanted to stay within a smaller budget per person-- Anna, laughed at me-- she said there was no way they could accomodate that budget and continued laughing. She never provided a reason as to why I should spend more money per person etc. She practically continued laughing and then hung up. I called the next place on my list, The Silk Road and spoke with the owner, Sam. I had the same conversation with him, except in this conversation Sam explained to me that they have a higher quality of food and service and this is why I should spend a little mroe money per person and so on. With that being said I booked a 2500.00 catering event w/The Silk Road for 60ppl in the Hamilton valley. It literally PAYS to take the time with people and BE KIND.
