Holistic Healing Center had a groupon and I called in and the woman offered me one hour for $45 if I haven't bought a groupon yet. I was able to get in within 20 minutes of calling. Samantha had the deep pressure I was looking for, which is good, but what I thought stood out from her was that I asked her to work on this specific area of my back that was tight and she went at it for what felt like half an hour. Most places will focus for a few minutes but move on. That was great! Also, I was surprised but Samantha also did some thai massage work (standing on my back) which I love and wasn't expecting. Afterwards, I met Linda, who I think is either the manager or owner and she told me they have $125 for 3 massages which is obviously a great deal. I also read Linda was really good on yelp, so I told her next time I'll try her. Linda also had the best customer service presentation, and she was probably the one that made me want to return with her smiling personality.

It felt like heaven every step of the way. She spoke here and there asking how I liked it my lifestyle work etc. I came in very congested and she added eucalyptus which helped significantly. AND, they accept insurance (check your coverage for details). They recently began accepting Commonwealth Care Alliance (CCA), there is only one other office on the South Shore that accepts it. The office is completely handicapped accessible. I highly recommend them for medical massage, whether it be from an injury or surgery, or chronic pain relief.

It was a few years after cancer treatment when I began to experience painful symptoms d/t complications. Joanie became part of my 'team' in my efforts to feel 100% and improve my quality of life. This was my first experience with massage. Friends would often talk about the relaxation benefits but for years, I thought it was more of a luxury expenditure. However, the techniques that Joanie applied readily demonstrated excellent training and experience. It became 'my hour' to help my body and mind heal and she partnered me in this. As an RN, I told her about my condition and she wanted to understand it. The experience in the quiet and safe space she provided allowed me to feel that I was taking a very proactive step in getting better. What could I measure? Less pain, my daily walks went longer, increased flexibility and better focus, more hope. All of this occurred over a period of time with the positive built connection between two women who wanted to help heal 'me', both healers, having a job to do. I purposely left my rewards card on the counter and will not return. The lack of English was definitely an issue but when I was checking out we used her phone for translating so she knew and yet still denied working on me prior to this appointment.
