The groomer (who gave off total de Vil vibes) yanked my dog by the neck, literally dragging her inside. I should have left then. I showed clear photos of how I wanted Cruze puppy cut groomed and was assured it could be done. I paid for a full groom (bath, haircut, nail trim, anal glands) -- but that's not what we got. When I picked her up, Cruze had two long shaved spots on her belly but no hair cut done, only two nails cut out of 4 paws so barely trimmed, and she was scooting frantically -- on dirt, concrete, grass. Something was clearly wrong. I messaged the groomer right away asking what happened -- no real answer, just that HE bathed her "after the anal glands" but who is He? Within 24 hours, Cruze was bleeding heavily from her rectum -- pools of blood, bloody stool -- it was heartbreaking. A $500 emergency vet visit, antibiotics, special diet, and days of worry followed. I am beyond upset. No animal should be treated this way. I would never trust this place again. I debated on writing a review, but this should be public knowledge on the lack of service. Please think twice before bringing your beloved pet here.

Seeing how well she responded we wanted to immediately start her in his 3 week course as AKKs are known for darting and not listening. However, Dave said "Let your puppy be a puppy and contact us in a couple more months." I really appreciate him saying that. We continued training her at home while enjoying her puppy bonding time and 2 1/2 months later dropped her off. Three weeks without her was hard but we did it! When we picked her up we found the same happy pup but with added obedience. She even retained the training we taught her at home (we have a dog door bell system to signal outside for potty). Her auto-sit while walking and sit+stay / down+stay on leash are quite impressive and you can tell how proud she is when performing these commands as well as sitting at the door waiting to be invited in/out. In the back yard she's perfect with 'heel' but in the real world she's still a bit excited. That's expected with her breed and we will continue to train daily with the skills Dave taught us. Loyal K-9 is highly recommended for obedience training. While it was hard not to have her for three weeks it really has paid off. Thanks Dave and Cathy!

Heather has a gentle manner and gets to know your pet before you hand them over by asking thoughtful questions. She is knowledeable and compassionate which is the perfect combo for a trainer. He's always exceptionally thorough, his staff is knowledgeable and helpful and each time I leave, I feel well informed about whatever issue I brought an animal in for and know that my pet has received great care and there won't need to have a follow up visit for the same issues unless I've been informed that it might be needed as can sometimes be the case with my diabetic dog. It's this dog in particular that will keep me going back to Dr Thinnes because of how thorough and knowledgeable he has been with helping me treat my Chloe and make sure she is healthy and in as optimal a shape as we can keep her.
