I came into Phoenix skin because I was hoping for a better price but for the quality of work it matched. I saw Katerina and although very sweet I think she needs re training on how to do micro needling. Her passes are all over and she dug the needle into my smile lines and forehead. She also was touching her gloved hand to my headscarf while also using that same gloved hand to apply the PRP.

It's pricey and it hurts. Anyway, I was quoted a price by the gal (Anna) that made the appointment. I understand that prices for things have gone up, I was ok with that and provided my card for the deposit. I asked what the best numbing cream was that I could buy to numb myself up before the appointment, she said that the laser tech would call me. This morning Katarina the laser technician called, she said that it was going to be over $300 MORE than what I was told the afternoon before. I was shocked, I asked about the multiple tattoo discount, she said she wasn't sure and she put me on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up and decided to call back and just cancel. Anna answered the phone and I asked her about the massive difference in cost- she claimed that she didn't recall speaking with me the afternoon prior- Yeah, right. Selective amnesia. So, by this point I just told her to cancel my appointment. She needs to have her head checked. Katarina called back and gave me another quote with the "discount", still well over $200 what I was quoted the afternoon before. They were not apologetic at all. Poor customer service. I'll be going elsewhere.

If you have never been to a spa before, it's quite common to be upsold on products and services. I'm familiar with it, and I have no problem saying no, but want to mention to folks who are considering coming who may not be familiar so it's not surprising when it happens. Typically they stop if you say no, and this was my experience here so it was fine. The location is awesome and there is enough to do here to keep you occupied for a couple hours. You could really make a whole day of it if you get a couple services, want to do some shopping or browsing, and a meal. Speaking of food, it's worth mentioning they have a little tea and snack bar in the lobby. The furniture here is not that comfortable and does not feel cozy. I don't think they designed it to actually keep people here longer than a few mins, so it's not a spa lounge by any means but has the basics you'd expect for spa treats like water, tea, and a few snacks. A short but sweet review is that Lather makes wonderful products that are naturally based and have the functionality & quality you'd expect from other high end product lines but using ingredient lists you can feel good about and trust. I absolutely love this brand and will continue to be a customer, as I've tried almost all of the products they make and we are lucky in AZ to have a brick and mortar location since there aren't many. I also purchase products online from them when I don't have time to stop in the store. Their loyalty program is really great with accumulating points that translate to discounts on purchases and special VIP sale events.
