I'm a one time previous client of Jade's. I got my shoulders done with her and was super pleased and wanted to come back to her to do a sleeve. There's no doubt that her work is beautiful and the first time around, everything was fine. This time however, her communication was AWFUL and passive aggressive. I set the appt and sent a deposit of $100 of which she didn't confirm the receipt of, until 4 days later. Already off to a rough start, as I didn't know if my appt date was locked in because she was taking forever to confirm. Once the appt was confirmed , I took PTO days off from work A MONTH in advance, one day in order to travel 2 hours to her shop and another day to recoup from hours of tattooing . The day of my scheduled appt, I showed up on time, greeted by the other artists and told them I was there for a 12pm appt w Jade. They informed her I was there and then I sat and waited for ONE HOUR in the lobby. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt and was extremely patient, thinking maybe she was finalizing the piece. Not once did she poke her head out and say hi, show me a sketch, reassure me I wasn't wasting my time or anything. Mind you, none of the other artists checked up on me either knowing I was sitting there for an extended period of time. None of them had clients except for one guy. There was 4-5 of them there. Then a girl walked in , idk if it was another artist or Jade's assistant, I have no clue . Asked me if I was helped and asked me to fill out the consents. As I was starting the consents this same girl came out and informed me that Jade had a migraine and would not tattoo me under those conditions. As I'm understanding of the circumstances, I was pissed. I did NOT make a scene and left the shop and emailed her immediately to reschedule or receive some type of compensation for my time. She didn't respond until the next day, but did offer me 2 hours compd for the inconvenience. Great ! Only when I accepted it and tried to reschedule , she did not respond at all. At this point I waited 10 DAYS before deciding to ask for my deposit back. She of course responded promptly to that email. Lol. Returned my deposit to me, then BLOCKED me on social media. Like what?? I was not once aggressive , rude or anything to her. I did express my disappointment in her unprofessionalism and apparently she didn't take the criticism well. I have all the emails to prove so. I believe I was far more patient than maybe other clients might have been. But she was playing with my time and with my money. Again, no doubt her work is beautiful but that does not mean she should have an attitude when someone is paying good money for a service. She says she takes her business seriously but her attitude and handling of this situation says otherwise. Schedule at your own discretion but don't be surprised by her lack of professionalism. read more

I decided that I wanted to get my first tattoo a few months ago. I looked all over for a good shop and a good artist. After speaking to roughly nine different places and not getting a good vibe, I was still undecided. That's when I met someone that had randomly overheard my conversation on the subject. She showed me some of her tats and I was impressed with just how detailed they were and how vibrant the colors were. She gave me Alain Lacoste's name and said he was just down the street at Red Tide. I met with Alain, got that vibe I was looking for and jumped in the chair. First tattoo was Kanji brushstrokes down my spine. It came out so good, that three weeks later, I returned for my left should and a way more detailed 3D-ish tat design. Again Alain hooked me up! I've got about five more planned and they will all be done by Alain. The crew there are cool and I have watched them work. They've all got the skill and passion for their craft. After having the most painful tattoo experience and after my healing process I have realized my tattoo artist lied about tattooing for over 10 years. Do not trust the beautiful art on the walls! They give you a sense of security in choosing a great place but you'll end up with a novice tattoo artist. My tattoo came out terrible! A major line is crooked and uneven. It is a symmetrical tattoo but looking at it you wouldn't t know that. It looks completely different on both half's. Not to mention my skin was split in a way no other tattoo has split my skin. It looked as though I need stitches and I did not stop bleeding from the tattoo for 2 hours. I will not be returning. read more

I had my nose pierced just over a month ago with Marc. While I was a little indecisive and taking my time to find just the right spot (since it is a permanent HOLE through my flesh) he seemed irritated and gave me impatient vibes which In hind sight I should have taken as a red flag and stopped right there. Once I chose my spot he pierced it- it all went fine until I got home in a comfortable element and was able to take really take a look at the piercing- I realized the flat face of the jewel was not flush with the surface of my nose but rather it was angled upwards and was more parallel with the top of my head rather than the surface of my nose- during the next 24 hours it swelled to the point of indentation on my nose and moderate bleeding, the shank was not long enough to allow for swelling. While trying to clean it with a Q-tip and saline the pressure along with the heavy swelling actually pushing the piercing right out of my nose and the jewelry fell down my bathroom sink. I texted him right away and told him I would try to make it up there within the week. I became sick and due to Covid had to quarantine... life became busy and now a month later I call to set up a time to come in and he invalidated the possibility that it was ever crooked, told me he thought I was a girl that had called and said I had put it back in (invalidating me again, and also acknowledging that other ppl have had the same issue with piercings falling out) and told me that it was too late to give any sort of refund. Also stating that in the consent I signed, there are no refunds on piercings even if it is done crookedly. (Which doesn't match up to him telling me to come in a day after it fell out!) Moral of the story- go somewhere else that won't rush you and will acknowledge that mistakes can be made and if they are, will make it right!! read more

I wish I could leave negative stars. Went in Saturday evening to get my septum pierced. Which I've had done before. Not only did Jamie (the piercer) screw me by piercing it too low on the bridge of my nose rather than the tip, but when I followed up four days later because my ENTIRE face swoll like a balloon, his best advice? "Idk, maybe take it out." Like I know you're clearly no medical professional. But I'm coming to you asking if the hole you put in my face is fixable and or pierced incorrectly and you're gonna hit me with an "idk" like...ok. I'm 100% not the person to rant or leave a negative review but after getting a second and THIRD opinion it was indeed pierced incorrectly. I'm sure simpler piercings he'd be fine, but if you're looking to pierce your septum, call elsewhere !!! read more

The piercer here has no business piercing I wasn't planning on leaving a review just never coming back but seeing as things haven't changed from other reviews... I got my piercing over a year ago. And I didn't want to leave a full review until it fully healed. It was an industrial and it ended up becoming keloid which I have never had in any other cartalidge piercing. It was because the bar was to short and dug into the skin around my ear (recocurring theme youll find out). The entire shop was so rude especially the female tattoo artist jade. I don't know if she still works there but if so I hope she got an attitude adjustment. My friend and I both came to get a piercing she got a medusa and the jewelry size wasnt long enough for the swelling and a day later it was sucked into her lip! It was just us, 3 tattoo artists and the piercer but from the way they ignored us you would think there were no customers in the shop at all! They were all making Step Brothers references (one of my favorite movies) they were quoting the lines and since every other piercer I've been to has talked to me during the process to keep my mind off whatever is being pierced I decided to try and join the conversation. I said something like "I love that movie" and quoted some line from it. It was like a record scratched they all stopped and just stared blankly at me like I was the rude one for joining in on thier conversation!! And then just turned away and continued thier conversation. And it wasn't like they were across the shop doing thier own thing they were talking with my piercer. After I spoke to them jade started death staring me like she couldn't take the fact that all the attention wasn't on her for 2 seconds. Because she didnt look at me once before i tried to just have some friendly conversation. After we both got pierced we kind of just stood there awkwardly. He didn't give us any information on how to clean our piercings or anything!!! He just stood there as if waiting for a tip. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had at a tattoo shop. read more
