Showed up at abode coffee and found out they were having a Friday the 13th event and I thought the wait would be super long. I signed up and was seated within 20 min. I got a design and added color and for the price I couldn't pass it up. I normally don't get tattoos on a whim but they did have a design very similar to what I was looking for. I know other shops that charge double that for what I got in the size it was made in. Bianca hooked me up with some nice timelines and used the colors I wanted. She knocked it out the park. I will be seeing her again for more work very soon and to have some of my old work updated since they are over 20 years old. The hospitality is top notch here. Two weeks ago, I went in to get my 2 month old daughter's earlobes pierced. Jacob did an awesome job! Had a terrible experience with tattoo artist Felix a couple months ago. I had full confidence in him to do this small piece since he had much larger and honestly good work on his instagram but ended up with a overworked black block smack dab in my shoulder. Once he was done he looked at it and said "oh for that...$50", very pitifully, while his minimum is $100. Needless to say I went home sobbing. I later contacted the store owner and he was understanding and genuinely surprised and confused on how he could have messed up this bad. He did offer a refund or coverup, but I never heard a word from Felix, with him even telling his manager that I was micromanaging him throughout the tattoo-which is why it came out so bad, with me being an antsy; anxiety ridden 18 y/o girl I was astonished to say the least. I even had second opinions from other artist and every time i was hit with the "How did he even manage to do that?". I felt this whole situation was handled very unprofessionally. I'm sure Felix isn't a bad artist per-say, maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but because of that "off" day I now have to live with this very unappealing piece on my body for the rest of my life.
