When I arrived, our IDs were checked and then we were let in. AFTER we were let in, two people let us know there was a 10 dollar cover. Whatever. I already paid for the show so am I really just gonna leave there? I ask to pay with card, and am told there's tax on it. Sure. I get it. Electronic payments are all catalogued so it makes sense there's tax. However, I see the itemized bill as it's being brought up. It says "$11 cover". There's a separate line for the tax under it, but I was definitely charged 11 for a cover PLUS tax after that. I ask the workers if there's a mistake, and they say it's the tax. I point out that the tax is below that, and then they say something along the lines of "you're acting like we want to rob you, I don't get any money out of this." The place to insert my card is then pulled away from me as I am removing my card from it to pay, and am told "You don't have to pay for it if you don't want". As I already paid, I point it out and I am offered a refund. At this point, I just want this to be over and I enter the courtyard, down $44 dollars for a show I thought would only be $20. As I enter, I hear them yell "douche" over and over at me. This sort of soured the night for me and we left soon after that. If you're a regular here then I'm sure you enjoy it, but it is not for new people and it is definitely not a welcoming environment. The food smelled good at least.

I hate to do it, but I gotta knock this place down a star…read more First of all, after my last review, they increased the price of local beer and now the only local beer is Abita Amber. I don't drink Abita, so I had a Corona and then switched off to red wine. Admittedly, I don't drink like I used to, so the wine was fine. I'm bummed that they got rid of Canebrake and a few other local beers but I guess they weren't selling. The venue is now non smoking which is a huge plus. I loved that there were plenty of places to sit tonight. I'm not here as often as I used to be, but it's still a decent place to see a band.

I said yes when she asked, and the day of, I was considering backing out. Working 9 hours, then waiting 4 hours after I got off work to meet up, make the trek to the Boomtown Casino (a good 30-45 minutes away) and what I imagined to be a smoky, people filled building drinking was not what I consider to be a great time on any day of the week. Well, let me tell you, I had no right to make those assumptions. Yes, you have to enter the building that houses the casino, but this is tucked off to one side, about the size of a high school gym, and not even halfway filled. I bought the first round of drinks for her, her husband and myself for $15, which is a great price in my opinion. There was no cover charge. Some of her other friends showed up, and we were in for a great time. The band was energetic, and had about 8 players with instruments ranging from keyboards, to guitars, to brass instruments and drums. The songs ranged from current hits to songs from 20 years ago. My favorite was their final song, where they covered Beastie Boys Funky Monkey. They did a cover of Guns-N-Roses and many other bands. A-freaking-mazing. I had a great time. We got there about 9pm, and before I knew it, they had played their last song and were breaking down the stage at 1am. I even had a sighting of another YELP-er that I had not seen in quite some time, and it was nice to see her. The restrooms are across the hall. There are several food places nearby. The parking lot is HUGE. Ginormous. All in all, I am glad I came, and I had a great time. Seriously much better than what I expected, and I am happy for that.

I would definitely go back if I'm in the area!

Adult review…read more.... I've been an active swinger since I turned eighteen. My eighteenth birthday party started at an all nude strip club, I even danced that night and got a job there, then to swingers club. That night was epic and forever burned into my brain as a great birthday. I attended this club with a couple I met in New Orleans on Swingers Date Club. (SDC). It's a private club and there is always some paperwork and fees involved. My dates handled most of this. I really enjoyed the layout and the atmosphere was highly sexual and festive. Everyone was having a great time. It was byob so if you go, take your own alcohol. Mixers like soda etc were provided. We spent the evening getting to know one another in-between playtime. Playtime I really enjoyed. As did my beautiful wife. I wish I could go into more detail but Yelp is a PG rated forum. Needless to say, I had my fair share of men and women that night. I highly recommend this lifestyle club. I walked there from my hotel in ten minutes. It was much harder to walk home. Lololol

I brought VIP tickets which indicated that I could skip the line and have assess to the second floor. I arrived and there was a long line outside the venue, so I went to the front and showed the security my ticket and he stated there are two different VIP tickets, the one I brought is basically general admission. In which I disagreed because it stated in fine print that I had skip the line privileges. We went back and forth and he finally decided to let me skip the line. The club was pretty crowed downstairs, so I decided to go upstairs. As I'm walking to the stairs I see there's a rope blocking the entrance, so I tell the ladies at the front desk the ticket that I purchased states that I'll have upstairs assess, and she replies that the upstairs is closed and should open shortly. I waited around for about 45 minutes and the upstairs did not open, so I simply left. This place is a SCAM, save your money and go enjoy yourself somewhere else.
