    This sums it up

No go cups and rude staff makes for a sad Marielle. Seriously the muscle men at this place were gross and the staff was beyond rude. I asked for a go cup and I was told that they weren't allowed on this block. This is the same block as Lucy's and Vic's. I can't take my drink to go? Come on. The music is what I would I imagine my suicide soundtrack would be. Seriously. It's boom boom boom with no end. Good Lawd. If I had to pick an afterlife torture for my enemies, it would be Ohm. In conclusion, this place sucks and the people know it because I told them. I said, "Hey, do you know what Yelp is?" The dude at the door said, "Yep!" and I smiled. Here's the review you deserve. Good morning. Good afternoon. And Good Night! Oy.

I went here recently for a special event and this is truly a lovely venue. It's actually connected to Barcadia and only open Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Its atmosphere is very cute! It consists of an Asian decor theme throughout the establishment from tables and statues found throughout. It is definitely a good place to have an event or bring groups if reserved in advance in my opinion. The cocktails menu was pretty impressive but also pretty expensive. If you don't plan to spend 12/15 for a cocktail, this is definitely not the place for you (Thankfully it was an open bar). The cocktails were exceptional. The cocktail that was worth a try was the delicious Tokyo Sour which consisted of Japanese Whiskey (The Yamazaki 12 Year), Lemongrass and Elder-flower. The bartender definitely made this cocktail with care 100% from scratch. Actually he did this for the whole group on EVERY specialty cocktail asked for. It was pretty amazing. The cocktails are amazing and I would go back on a special occasion. The staff was cool. Bartender was so sweet and even answered all my questions about the cocktails due to my fascination even in the crowded room. The bar-backs were even sweet and one impeccably dressed.

The space is absolutely stunning--flooded with natural light from massive windows that offer breathtaking views of the French Quarter and the mighty Mississippi River. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, with smooth Neo soul music playing in the background that made it easy to settle in and get some work done. I kept it simple with soda water while plugging away on my laptop, but my wife enjoyed a fresh salad along with a burger and fries, which she said hit the spot. The real standout was the service; our hostess Barbara greeted us with such a warm smile and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. We're already planning to come back in the evening when they have live piano music--hoping it amps up the energy a bit more. If you're looking for a spot with expansive views and a chill atmosphere, this place is worth checking out! More to come after our next visit.

The ambiance is perfect..overlooking the French Quarter, its design and decor epitomizes the sophistication of Westin Hotels. The crowd was a mix of vacationists and corporate people who are there for meetings and conventions, and the staff were all polite and personable. We ordered drinks for the most part, and the price point was not really bad for a hotel bar- about $16 for regular drinks like vodka soda, and about $26 for doubles.

No music, no food service, or anything that shows that tried to create a nice vibe. It's literally just some chairs on the rooftop. The bar has a bartender, not mixologist, who makes drinks that I can make better at home. The little drinks are served un-garnished in tiny plastic cups and cost $15+. Not to mention they will take whatever tip amount they like out if you forget to close your tab. So my basic plastic cup of lemon, sugar, and a splash of vodka (I can't even call it a lemon drop) was $20. I wish I had taken a photo of how tiny the cups are.

Really disappointing experience…read more Vue honestly felt pretty bare bones to me. Yes, I learned some things about the culture and people of New Orleans and I got a few good pictures but I wouldn't recommend this at all. I was hoping to get a picture with my sister as indicated on the website but I didn't see anyone offer that or see it as an option once we made it there. I thought the mini story in the elevator was fun, short of course but they need to restructure this place I honestly was unimpressed. The website suggest it takes an hour and a half to experience the whole place, we walked the whole place, took pictures, watched 2 videos in well under an hour and a half. The employees were very nice and helpful; maybe I expected to much of Vue but I say temper your expectations.

Inside, Tonique was the eye of the storm, dim, tight, buzzing with locals, drunks, vagrants drifting through, and a gaggle of business bros with no concept of anything outside their tiny echo chamber. Desmond was holding it down like an air traffic controller with a lighter and a grudge. Speed, snark, and skill balanced like a pro. I watched him build five classics at a time, clean and fast, no mixology cosplay, no wasted motion. Trinidad Sours landing with that bitter, spicy swagger, and green chartreuse laden libations that tasted like monks invented joy and then hid it in a fucking bottle. That's the magic here. Dive bar soul, serious cocktail execution, and a bartender who can run triage without breaking the spell. Drink here, tip heavy, then step back out into the bacchanal. The streets can have the chaos. Tonique has the craft. We'll be back.

At first glance, the place may look like a dive, but it has a great neighborhood bar vibe, excellent cocktails, and very affordable prices. On both days we visited, the place was packed, yet the crowds never affected the service. The bartenders were incredibly efficient, turning out drink after drink without missing a beat. Everything we tried was spot on. They clearly know what they're doing, and the prices make it even better. it's truly a steal

I ended up going on a Friday and to my surprise, it wasn't terribly overpacked. However, I did get there quite early just as they opened.
