After four months of working together -- Christian (owner) just text "Hi Tracy ,I thought about it and don't want to work for you anymore, so don't estimate from me." Now we have to find a new contractor to finish this half-completed project. I was understanding when he'd show up late or schedule multiple projects at once and drop the ball on mine. I was understanding when he kept postponing work on my property. I was understanding when he installed our (expensive, aluminum) fence posts incorrectly (because his crew didn't follow instructions and measured the vertical length instead of horizontal) and then thanked/praised him when he (despite trying to encourage me to leave the posts in the wrong places so his crew didn't have to do more work/fix their error) fixed the fence and installed everything beautifully. I was understanding when half of the new sod he laid was (is) covered in nutsedge and mushrooms and the other side turned brown. He came back to spray with chemicals and said he would patch the dead portion but didn't patch. I was understanding when he moved the drip system along our back fence and left it to spill into the pool. I paid all invoices promptly and in full despite his refusal to provide line item detail explaining an additional/unexpected $3,280 for "Extra work that we did the extra sod, and removing the extra plants and taking it to the dump ." Christian thought we should discuss in person, he told me about how his overhead expenses are high, I didn't want to argue about it or waste any more time discussing, so I paid. I always asked how he was doing building his new business (because, as a fellow small business owner, I know how hard it can be) and asked about his family (as our infant daughters are the same age). I gave him a box of the same baby food my family was using after he said their daughter wasn't putting on weight as expected. I bought his crew lunches and gave them coolers full of waters on hot days. I chalked it up to cultural differences when he spoke to my husband and said he was "finally getting to talk to the real boss." (Note all the 5 star reviews from men, except for the first review which is his wife and the pictures she posted are of his personal home.) Hugely disappointed. Zero respect or loyalty. Would absolutely never recommend working with a disorganized, unappreciative, sexist business owner. read more

Red Willow Landscaping trenched our yard, put in a new catch basins, laid piping, covered with dirt and leveled out/graded our yard to ensure water drained away from our home. We were so impressed with Red Willow that we decided to expand the work. We had them put in new gates and fencing around our yard. We also had Christian remove some dead/undesirable limbs from our large pine tree we have in our yard. I hired Red Willow landscape to flatten my backyard and pour a 19x22 concrete patio and to extend my existing patio. They also added 120 feet of drain from my backyard to the front yard. OMG they did such a great job. It looks better than I expected it to. After they did such a great job on my backyard I hired them to remove my grass in the front yard and they designed my front yard with stepping stones,DG and rockd with lots of plants and flowers. They also added irrigation to water all my plants. They were here when they said they would be and very reliable I highly recommend Red Willow Landscape. I have them coming back to build a patio with bricks for a fire pit and to lay sod and plant a tree to finish up my backyard. To start, Christian did some tree work at our house that was great, so when our landscapers of 30 yrs retired, we were thrilled to hear that Christian was taking over. That is where the joy ended, his yard crew was a different level of care. They cut across the ground cover creating their own trail, blew leaves into the pool, repeatedly blew succulents out of their pots etc. when discussed these things, never stopped the problem. Thought it was because they were new so talked with Christian who agreed we'd get together on what to do for yard-except then his workers told him they would not do the yard anymore. He quit the job. Now I hear that they are raising our neighbors rate by almost double. Nice guy, great tree service with different group. read more

My husband and I bought a house two years ago. We found out in the winter of 2021 after a few atmospheric rivers, that the back of our house was the lowest spot in our backyard. Needless to say, we spent the winter of 2021 trying to keep our house dry. In November 2022, we hired Christian and the Red Willow Landscaping crew to put in drains and replace our cement slab patio. Christian listened to our concerns and came up with a plan to ensure that we would not have water entering our house again. All gutter downspouts were connected to a drain system and the newly poured concrete was graded so that water flowed into the drains. Additionally, Christian helped build a new gate for our fence and checked on the completed work after the first few storm systems passed. It was clear that he cared about his work and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the end result. To say that we are satisfied would not do justice to the relief that we feel that we will no longer have to worry about water getting in the house again. After nearly a month of rain, we can say the work of Red Willow Landscaping was a huge success and our house has stayed dry.
