We've used All Around Yard Maintenance for quite a few years, however since the change of management it has gone seriously downhill. They used a weed-eater to mow the lawn, which left lawn clippings all over, and continued to do so even after we brought it to the new managements attention. I found Carlos on Yelp and I'm glad I did. I had been doing my own lawn forever and really needed help. Carlos and team came in and redid my entire front lawn in 2 days. Ripped out the old grass, put in sprinklers and new top soil (that's key) and finished it off with a sparkling new lawn. The great thing was he came by and checked on the progress of the lawn for weeks until it was ready to mow. I would highly recommend All Around Yard Maintenance. We called Carlos/AAYM to come back and landscape the rest of our yard, but we got his father-in-law. I think his name is Tony. He seemed like a great old school guy we would love to hear tell "back in the day" stories. Well, we did not like the story he was telling us about our yard nor that he was advertising and promoting his own co. He claimed he took over AAYM. In addition, he was unaware of what Carlos agreed to do & charge when they did the clean up. He kept insisting on putting in a new drain and relocating our sprinkler system, even though we expressed that we have a drain that was covered by the hill of dirt the cleanup guys spread out. He stated, "you guys have to find it. We won't do that..." Then his quote was double what Carlos quoted us. We want Carlos. Sorry Tony. A few days after writing this review. I have been impressed with everything about this company from start to finish. They were very quick in calling me back, and came out for an estimate very quickly. Carlos came our to our home dressed very professionally and quickly was able to determine what we needed done to our backyard (mowing some overgrown parts and hauling away trees and lots of branches). After I received the quote I thought it was a little high and asked him if it could be lowered. He was more then willing to work with me and was able to lower it very close to our budget to make it work. The work itself was done very well and very quickly by the workers who came,however I was gone and my hubby wasn't aware they were supposed to mow / cut down the weeds and overgrown part. They did not do this however Carlos followed up with me (awesome touch!) and I asked him if we had agreed on this or if I was thinking it and didn't make myself clear. He immediately told me he will send his crew back out within the next couple days to complete the last piece of the work and was very apologetic. I am very happy with Carlos and his VERY quick responses as well as the ability to make errors right. I will always be using them in the future! read more

I've never written a Yelp review before, but All Around Yard Maintenance did a great job on my horribly overgrown backyard. I had bought my house 2.5 years ago and never got the back to be more than overgrown trees, shrubs and rose bushes. Carlos and his team installed a new sprinkler system, new sod grass, landscaping and even tilled a section of the yard to be used as a garden, and dragged a water line out to the back. All of this was done in about a week and I still can't believe its the same place when I go outside! Definitely recommended. All Around Yard Maintenance has been keep our yard looking great for over a year now. When Carlos came out to give us a quote our yard had begun to resemble a vacant lot. Knee high weeds, crab grass everywhere, dead plants, ect. Not only was he at our house to give us a quote within 2 hours of me leaving him voice mail message, but he was friendly and very reasonably priced. We have had a few sprinkler issues over the past year, all of which they have fixed without an extra charge. After this happened a few times, I finally insisted on paying for the parts and time, as the last time they dug out a broken line and replaced the multiple parts that were broken. Even with the amount of work, I was only charged $10. He is very honest and wants to do right by his clients. Carlos and his crew (Jose is our main guy, love him) are hard workers, respectful of your time frame, always nice and very responsive. When I email him, I always have a reply within a few hours. I really wanted to give All Around Yard Maintenance a shot for doing some landscape maintenance, so I called up two months ago and asked for a quote. The person who answered said they were busy and would follow up next week. Didn't happen. Then I called back and asked again for a quote. Still no follow up. I ended up moving out of town, so I called again and asked for him to set up an appt with the new tenant to come and take a look and give me a quote. He took the tenant's number, but never called. Sorry, you might have the best landscaping service in the world, but that doesn't help me if you never follow up on your commitments. read more

I've got a quote from them about having to restore my lawn. My lawn has weeds and patches of dirt that looks very unappealing. Tony suggested to reseed the lawn instead of having new sod put in. He says that that will be cheaper. He also assured me that within six weeks to three months that my lawn will have a nice turf. Also agreed on a twice a month maintenance plan where they would come twice a month to maintain the lawn. Fast forward three months later. My lawn almost looks exactly the same as the day they started working on it. I think they've put only put in fertilizer and herbicides once throughout the whole time. And that one time of putting fertilizer, they forgot to put the fertilizer that day and I had to call them to come back to put it on. Needless to say, after 3 months of paying them, all I've received is for them to just mow my lawn and pull some weeds. I don't think they were ever interested in restoring my lawn or even cared to. Also, communication with this company can be pretty bad. Sometimes, they will respond to you. But they never pull through. They said they'll come on a Thursday and they never came. They didn't even bother to text or call that they wouldn't make it. They just never came. Finally, I just emailed to cancel the service and he emailed me back to confirm it was cancelled. Simple as that. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company if you're planning on restoring your lawn or any of that sort. read more

In addition to the regular yard maintenance, he was very helpful with all other kinds of odd jobs that came up as we tried to get our new home & yard to reflect our taste. Carlos re-gradded our yard, ripped out large plants, cacti, and trees, and moved 7 yards of dirt from our driveway to raised garden boxes in our backyard. I spoke with a few landscaping and gardening guys and had 2 come out to give us estimates of the work. Carlos was hands down the most professional and flexible to work within our somewhat limited budget. All that, plus his price was the best! Carlos and his guys did a great job tilling, leveling and re-sodding our back yard and putting in beds around the perimeter. They trimmed back the trees too, even though that wasn't included in the estimate (or the final bill). I called and arranged for a quote on a rental property I own. 3 weeks later I hadn't received the quote or a phone call so I called back. They apologized, said it was unusual and promised I'd have the quote in my inbox the next morning. It's now been another 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them or received anything. I started with this service several years ago and was very satisfied with their service. Unfortunately, they had a change of ownership and the service has suffered. They don't consistently show up at my properties and sometimes don't do a thorough job. For example, blowing the leaves behind our air conditioning unit or into a stairwell. They gave me an estimate for a yard clean-up that was extremely high and significantly more than what I ended up spending to get the job done. Unfortunately, I can not recommend them. I hope that once the new owner gets settled, the service might improve. The owner seems like he wants to make it work. read more

I was working in my yard every weekend trying to get a bunch of bushes, wood chips and stumps out... It was taking me so long filling up one green waste at a time! I finally decided to hire out. I went on Yelp and found Carlos. From the second I called him he was very friendly and accomidating. He came out the next day and gave me a very reasonable quote. My schedule is hecktic and he moved some things around to fit me into a day that worked for me. He and his team came to my house and in one day removed everything that I wanted out!! About 20 bushes/stumps and a LARGE amount of woodchips. Hiring Carlos and his team has probably saved me months of going out there on the weekends and digging up bushes and hauling out wood chips, and they did it in one day! I am finally able to do what I want with my yard this year and I cant wait.
