We hired this company for a full-day tree trimming job (split with a neighbor) and the experience was frustrating. They didn't arrive until 8:30am and spent a significant amount of time at the start unclear about which trees were included, even though we walked the property with them. They took a one-hour lunch break, and by 3:00pm they wanted to end the "full day" with one tree still unfinished -- and asked us to pay for them to return another day to complete it. They also spent the last hour cleaning up, which took longer than it should have because the worker stationed at the wood chipper was on his phone much of the day. In total, we were charged for a full day but received about 6.5 hours of work, including the hour of cleanup and the time spent sorting out the plan. Overall, it ended up costing more than a more straightforward company would have, and I wouldn't choose this service again. read more

They butchered my trees. Worst tree service I have had in 38 years at this house. They were to remove dead wood and shape the trees -- they cut ALL the branches on one tree to the very top. We hired EG Tree service to remove a 50-60 foot pine tree. Elmar came out very quickly to see the tree and provide an estimate. Once we were ready to commit, they were available within days. A four-man crew came out and removed the tree over two days. The guys were friendly, professional, and worked very hard. There was an issue with a neighbor who was mad at me and Elmar talked to him and smoothed everything out. The price was really reasonable, too! I will note - I hated the thought of removing what was once a beautiful tree. And the EG foreman said it breaks his heart to cut down a tree. Elmar and his brother along with one other guy came by today to remove 6 bushes and a tree for me and they got everything done in 3.5 hours. They worked extremely hard and got the job done. At first I hired them to remove six bushes I had. I wanted them completely dug out and gone and they gave me an unbeatable quote for those bushes. While they were here, I asked them for a quote to remove my tree and again, it was a price I couldn't refuse. They were all extremely efficient and professional and nice. I am extremely happy I did so because not only did they quote the BEST price in three estimates I had, but they also did a fantastic job! EG Tree did fantastic work for me today! I had 4 large Cypress trees trimmed down by 40%, a Diodar Cedar trimmed on the side that was overhanging my roof, a Bottlebrush tree trimmed/shaped and a small stump removed from the front lawn. They came by and gave a free quote within 24 hours of my Yelp inquiry and were back the next day to do the work. They were in and out in 3 hours and did great work on the trees plus cleaning & hauling away the debris. Their pricing is VERY competitive, about half of what I expected to pay. They didn't talk much, but they followed everything I asked and were super easy to work with. One thing to plan ahead for is that they're so efficient they tend to run at least 30 minutes ahead of the arrival time they give for coming by to do a quote and then the actual work:) I highly recommend these folks and will call them next time I need work done! read more
