Eaten here a couple times in three years. The first time was wonderful. I had crab legs and more crab legs. They were hot and very tasty. My wife had a pork chop and liked it. My daughter some kind of sandwich and liked it as well. The second time I had steak. My wife had steak and my daughters friend pasta. My daughter a steak. The waitress went on break and I think our food sat until it was no good. My steak wasn't any good nor was anyone else's. My friend's daughter seemed to like her pasta. The meal was $180. I was less than impressed with our breakfast at the Red Willow Restaurant. As a guest of the hotel, it was convenient to dine there and the number of breakfast menu options made it easy for everyone in our group to find something to eat. However, the quality of the food was sub-par, my ham and egg omelet was a disk of pre-cooked eggs, topped with a couple slices of ham cold cuts and sprinkled with pre-shredded orange cheese. The hash browns were pre-made and under-cooked. The pace of the meal was slow and prices were high, considering the mediocrity of the food. read more

I like the place, it's got smaller town quirks at times with the service and food BUT I recommend it. I will dine there again, probably tonight. Worse service i have ever experienced. Waiter spoke so low couldn't hear or understand what he was saying. Forgot our salads and dinner was cold. Potato so cold butter wouldn't even melt. Prime rib cold. Waiter never checked on us and when we finished waited 15 minutes for bill and finally got up and went to front counter to pay. Could hear kitchen staff laughing and carrying on. I'm sure our waiter was back there with them. A table next to us had to get up and get their own ketchup from waiter area. I felt very uncomfortable and quite frustrated. With those prices the staff should treat the customers like they exist. Not give plates and disappear for the rest of the time so he doesn't have to do his job. Will never go here again! read more

My husband & I went down for breakfast on Friday morning and my complaint was not the food but was the hostess, Michelle. Absolutely the rudest person I have ever met in the service industry! I have almost 30 years in the industry and have NEVER came across anyone so right down mean & nasty. Part of your dinning experience is being treated with respect and enjoying your atmosphere along with your food and beverages, instead we got attitude and bitchiness and when I asked for some creamer for my coffee I was told my server could get it for me. I eat at the restaurant everything I am at the Wind River Hotel and Casino and always find it to be good. The portions are big and the food is always tasty. This time there I ordered the lobster tail and fillet. The lobster tail was bigger than any I had seen at any restaurant I had been to. The fillet was well cooked, although could have used some seasoning. The veggies on the plate looked like a soggy mess, so i just left them there. This go around I found this eatery to be, as good, as usual and will return in the future (tomorrow morning for breakfast). read more

It is NOT Celiac friendly!!!! I had a sandwich, couldn't eat all of it, so took the rest to go. We were staying in the hotel, so we had a fridge. After eating the bit that I did, I started getting horribly sick. It may have been a gluten free bun, but there had to of been cross contamination. It would of happened by either not changing gloves, using a knife that cut glutened bread, or wherever they cut the bun. They really need to be educated better on the risks with someone who has Celiacs vs someone who just wants gluten free. I now know to stay away from the Red Willow. read more

Four of us tried this restaurant for dinner twice (June and August). Both times we ordered some of the most expensive entrees on the menu. The first time we spent about $250, the second time about half that much because we sent half the food back. This is what we experienced: The $50 steak and lobster were all but thrown at us. The lobster was rubbery and the so-called thick ribeye steaks looked like dried skirt steaks ready for the trash. The side dishes were frozen vegetables; overcooked green beans the first time and undercooked mixed vegetables the second time. Under-cooked baked potatoes the first time and instant mashed potatoes the second time with gravy that resembled liquid plastic. The food was so horrendous it was offensive and surreal. Besides the food, the restaurant itself is also a zero. No ambience whatsoever: Overhead fluorescent lighting. Cafeteria acoustics. Plastic drinking glasses, paper napkins, dirty utensils, streaked tabletop. Salt and pepper in paper packets. Butter is served in minute quantity in small wrapped packets. Whether management doesn't know what they're doing or doesn't care, it is evident and the result is the same. Did any of the employees spit in our food? I don't know, but I've been told that happens. read more

Not bad for a casino restaurant in the middle of nowhere! The decor is native American themed and is quite cozy in their large booths. The staff is not the fastest but friendly and got our orders right. I ordered the patty melt with fries, burger cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Fries were crisp and fresh, onion rings are awesome! French dip has a generous amount of flavorful roast beef and love the bread. I've been here a few times and haven't had a bad meal yet. I highly recommend the chicken quesadillas if your not in the mood for a burger. They also offer a variety of salads that look good also. read more

This is a really good restaurant located inside the Wind River casino. Only con being the need to walk through the smoky casino to get into the dining room. The place was neat and the staff were courteous. The best part being the food and the portions were just too good. It took 3 of us to try finish the huge-pan cakes and fail at the end. Everything was just great and their food selection of breakfast was just enough to get me going on a long drive without thinking about food for the whole day. read more

Food Poisoning. I was in town doing work and I stayed at the hotel upon a recommendation from the car rental clerk. I ate dinner at the restaurant and got a severe case of food poisoning. I've spent the last two days in terrible shape. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Nothing really to complain about except it is really quite and awkward when you have to listen to the employees flirt with each other. You have to go through the noise and smoke of the casino to get to the restaurant, then you have to wait up to 1/2 hour (Sunday evening) for a table because they are short-staffed. Food was inexpensive but the chicken pasta alfredo was tough chicken tenders on penne pasta; and the beer-battered shrimp was too greasy. What were those unrecognizable vegetables? But the noise and smoke of the casino bothered me more. read more
