We come to Lander every year to visit family and like to enjoy a nice dinner out. Sadly, Mulino has let us down twice now. The first time, the food was overly salty, the service was bad, the staff was rude, and our waitress never checked back once, and we waited forever for the food to come, while other tables who arrived after us got served first. That first time we chalked it up to a bad night and decided to give them another chance so this year we tried again, hoping for a better experience, but it was somehow worse. Even with plenty of empty tables, we waited a long time just to be acknowledged. The host finally came and told us the kitchen was, in her words, "drowning" and we'd have to wait 10 more minutes before even being seated. Made zero sence! Meanwhile, we saw others walked in and were seated immediately. Honestly, as a diverse couple, we couldn't help noticing the strange looks we got. The atmosphere is snobby, the owners act like they're above everyone, and overall it's just not a welcoming place. My advice? Don't bother. The food isn't good enough to justify the disrespect, especially with mediocre, salty food and arrogant service, it's simply not worth your time or money. There are far better places to enjoy a meal in Lander where you'll be treated with the kindness. read more

Came here on a Saturday night around 8pm after a long day of climbing and was excited by the look and good reviews of this restaurant. However, was sorely disappointed. The wait for a table was about 15-30 minutes, so we decided to get a drink at the bar. Luckily, we were able to find 4 seats at the bar and opted to sit there instead of the table. The bartender was extremely busy because she had to serve everyone in the bar area, as well as make drinks for the whole restaurant. She kept telling us that she would get to us shortly, so we patiently waited. We were able to order our food about 20 minutes later. We ordered truffle fries and two pastas. We were served bread with olive oil/balsamic along with our order of truffle fries, which was very good. However, our pasta arrived about 50 minutes after sitting down and ended up being sub-par. The spaghetti that I ordered tasted like instant noodles and the gnocchi that my partner ordered was smushy and salty. The ambience of the restaurant was really nice, warranting another star, but overall, we had a very underwhelming experience. read more

Ate here once in three years. My wife and daughter each ordered pasta. One was the little stuffed pillows. They had no sauce or anything to really help them out and were bland. My wife's pasta had some veg in it but was bland no real sauce. I had a steak that was ok. It came with flavored fries that were not ok. I paid to much for a bottled beer. read more

I literally have nothing bad to say about Mulino. The food is incredible and the menu is seasonally fresh and exciting! The drink menu is interesting, not too sweet and a wonderful compliment to the dinner options. This is a splurge place, so go for dessert! You won't be disappointed! The timing of our main coarse coming out took so long that a member of our party asked to speak to the manager who turned out to be the female owner. Her response to our question of "what happened to our ticket" was so shocking I am a lost for words. Our kids pasta and sauce came out timely behind everything else we had ordered thus far but our kids were completely done eating and multiple tables who were sat after us had left when we went and questioned where our main coarse was. The female owner immediately became defensive, dug her heals in and did not listen at all. We weren't complaining about our waitress. She was great. We were questioning what happened to our main coarse? Her response and lack of listening with zero responsibility was shocking. She was SO rude that I was compelled to write this review. Absolutely will not return, the service was horrible, all and all we had to wait an hour and a half for our food, waited for at least 20mins just to get drinks, we had to ask for more bread just to get by until dinner was served, other people that came after us was served and left, this place is packed, however I have no idea why, the food was not worth the wait, I got the mussles linguine, and what was in the linguine was soup, the pasta itself was gummy, my friend had the ribeye, I definitely won't be back, however as I've stated before I'm picky, I have had some exceptional Italian food, and maybe I got here on an off day, but it made up my mind not to return, especially for the price. read more

I had the Scallop special and I wish I was kidding but It was the best Italian meal I have ever had, and I'm a well traveled man. I also had the Brussel sprouts which where amazing. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and extremely personable. We sat in the area back by the bar, the atmosphere was warm, private and relaxing. So glad to see that the original chef has returned and is now the owner of the restaurant! Not only was the food delicious, but we were happily surprised to see that the tiramisu was no longer deconstructed pint glass version. Not as good as it used to be unfortunately. Spring onion dip was ok but flatbread was blackened and burned. Clam linguine was lacking flavor due to a topping of at least 1/2 inch of dry breadcrumbs on top. That dish used to be so good, it was a big disappointment. read more

Food was fine. Our orders were less than accurate but nothing worth complaining about. The menu has changed pretty dramatically. The drinks were great, very delicious and all super creative. The wait for our food was longer than expected. After ordering, we waited just over an hour and a half. Maybe someone was missing, not sure. Waitresses were great. Carbonara was alright, the noodles were good. Risotto was great. Several groups came in well after we did and got their food before us, but that also could have been a fluke. There's not a whole lot of options for Lander, so we'll likely be back eventually. read more

Wow! Fantastic food and excellent service. They were busy (Friday night after all) so we sat at the bar by the kitchen. The noise level was a bit elevated, but the two of us could still talk comfortably. The staff were very friendly and even made a "mocktail" for me as I am pregnant. Dinner at Mulino on 3/22/23 was very disappointing. We both ordered the clams with linguine which we have enjoyed on other occasions. It was very greasy to the point we could not finish the linguine. Complained to the owner and received no compensation. Will hesitate to return. read more

Such a fun, warm, innovative Italian restaurant! This is one of our hometown favorites. It has new owners as of last year and they bring lots of enthusiasm, kindness, and amazing food to the table. This is our first choice for girls' nights, birthday celebrations, and fun dinners. Not only is the food great, but the kindness and attention to detail from the owners makes it a complete package. We are greeted with smiles and new suggestions. The owners and staff go out of their way to make a special occasion unique. We always leave feeling full, satisfied, and appreciated. The recent bar addition has a fun feel and can be a great place to sit if you want a little more quiet. We love the gnocchi, any of the salads, and all fun appetizers. Be sure to check out their bar happy hour! Great drinks and additional food you can't get in the restaurant during those hours. They are also on Open Table which makes reservations a breeze.
