I had not returned to men's…read morewearhouse (this exact location) in 10 years because they did a terrible job with alterations for a suit and shirt that I bought at this location. i found two shirts I liked - one of them was a little loose but I liked the print and wanted to see if I can have it altered. They called on the tailor in the back to help. This was an eastern european lady as I was told after. She barely tried to help. I asked for the sleeves to be shortened and more fitted - - she barely placed the needles on and did a half hearted effort to see what it would look like. Then, she turned and sneered at her friend and rolled her eyes because I asked for an alteration for the sleeves for a casual button down. Due to her abrupt, rude, unprofessional behavior, I decided not to buy the shirt. I spoke with another employee (Jackson). He tried to explain "She's from Eastern Europe and very blunt. If you ask for things she is not used to, you will get made fun of." After I purchased another shirt I liked, Jackson apologized for her behavior which I appreciated and offered to help me next time I come in. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I visit a Men's Wearhouse. I have been to Nordstrom Rack before and the lady tailors there took one good look at me in some of the shirts and told me they look too baggy and would benefit from altering. They were kind and presented options in a reasonable way. Respect your customers and offer good customer service - they will return and give you great word of mouth.

After not finding them the first time, I asked an employee for help. I had to ask two people for help before I found them. I was disappointed at the selection available. I was able to get three pairs of shoe laces for about $7.00. I almost feel forced to recommend them because they are one of the only physical shoe stores around, and I like trying on shoes before I buy them. Overall, not a bad experience, but it could be worse.

I told the owner that was half the price of the shoes and he proceeded to tell me that if I wanted them repaired it will also take over two weeks because he has such a back up from being away. why I ask you did you even open the door? Anyway, long story short, I picked up my boots without him repairing and brought them to a local guy in Norridge who only charged me $15 to replace and clean them. Stay away this guy is a rip off!!!

Me and daughter was struggling to find youth shoes. We went to them looking for directions, every time we go there and struggle to find them. Finally we figured ourselves and the particular design did not have the size we needed. Again we had to walk to them couple of times to check if something is available in the back. Finally we picked something and checked out. If we are the only customers shouldn't one of them walk over to help us at least after we walked to them 2/3 times. Not a great experience.

Getting to this shoe repair place feels a little like an adventure. My first time here I really did…read morenot like it but it grows on you. It is located in a quiet historic basement of a building called "The Mall", on 474 Central. You can take the elevator or the stairs. The entry to the staircase is to the right of the Mizuki Grill. In the basement, you will find Tiffany style light shades overhead and stained glass pieces along the way. You will encounter a person walking towards you and then notice they are wearing the same outfit.. Oh, it's a mirror. A giant mirror. So just past the mirror is the friendly shoe and purse repair. The quality of his work is great and the turnaround time is very reasonable. It took only a couple of days to get the soles replaced on my husband's shoes. I appreciated that all the shoes for pick-up were conveniently placed in a paper bags so you don't have to carry them out in the open. A nice finishing touch. The downside: He takes cash only. The good thing is that he writes the price on the claim ticket and you pay when you pick your items up.

She has helped us multiple times and she has been such a pleasure to work with. She is smart, educated, and pretty and she got my taste pretty quickly. Let me also say, the fitting rooms were wonderful. Pants have always been a struggle but here there were so many options!
