I'm not surprised by this inspector's good ratings. He inspected our house and he seemed knowledgeable. The best part though of his service was the fact that he was available after the inspection for questions, I asked him about our roof warranty and he went out of his way to figure out our home's builder so I could contact them after our sellers told us there was no warranty. After our sellers left I had additional questions about items that were previously in the house and he was able to pull up video he had taken and sent it via email, overall very useful and I appreciate his work. Jed came out to inspect a home I was purchasing. HE WAS GREAT! He was early to the home and arrived before us. He gave us an overview of what he was going to do and how long it would take. First he asked if we had any concerns and I showed him some areas that I thought would be an issue. The gas company had shut off the hot water tank and fireplace due to safety issues. Jed offered to come back and finish testing those as well as the hot water-supplied plumbing and appliances when it was repaired and turned back on. After he gave us a recap and offered his opinion as to what should be our top priorities. This house was built in 1950 so he had his work cut out for him! The report he supplied and detailed photos allowed us to the go to the seller and ask for repairs based on safety concerns, not just operational or cosmetic. Unfortunately, the seller was in denial regarding the leaking roof and would not repair. Jed's report probably saved us thousands in home repairs down the road! read more

I am going to start by saying that Jed is AMAZING. He is like the kareem abdul jabbar of home inspections.... the GOAT. I am in the process of purchasing a home built in 2015 and needed an inspection before proceeding with the escrow process. I assumed that the inspection would take an hour or two, but Jed spent a whopping 4 hours checking every little detail to make sure that it was all in working order. When I mentioned that this was my first home, he made sure to slow down and explain everything to me carefully. He pointed out common areas where problems arise for homes and gave me suggestions on how to prevent future issues. At the end of the inspection, he went over all his findings. He showed me images from his thermal camera which showed that the temperatures for the water pipes/wires/switch boards/etc were normal. He mentioned several times that he would not be able to live with himself if he gave me the "OK" on the inspection and something catastrophic were to happen to the house. During the inspection process, we got to talking and I told him I was part of the military. He stopped dead in his track and fervently thanked me for my service. He then turned to my gf and also thanked her for the sacrifices she made. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JED FOR ANY HOME INSPECTION NEEDS. Jed performed the home inspection on the purchase of my new home and did an excellent job! He is incredibly thorough and took the time to ensure that any issues with the home were addressed. I have purchased homes in the past and he, by far, spent the most amount of time in the home. He also uses a Go Pro during the inspection so that he can go back and review the footage to make sure nothing was missed. The home inspection is one of the most important pieces when buying a home. Many inspectors work for the agents and are not likely to point out all of the issues because it can cause a delay in the home closing. Jed was very easy to deal with and he did a great job. I think he was at the house for about five hours, may have been six. He went back the next day to meet the sellers real estate agent who stood him up and there was no charge for this even though it was a giant waste of his time. I really felt like he had my back, was looking out for my family and his report was very detailed. It showed things that were critical to fix and then some things that are just part of buying an 18 year old home and should be fixed eventually. I like that he used a thermal camera to check for mold and did a video of the inspection as well. I don't plant to move anytime soon, but I would use him again in an instant. Even though our house was a newly built constructed home, I still wanted to make sure we got what we paid for. My buyers agent recommended Jed and we went ahead and booked him. From the start, he was extremely personable and easy going. He has a lot of knowledge and I picked his brain on some concerns. Until we officially closed on the house and we had keys in our hands, Jed went in and inspected the entire house. He was there for four hours. There are a lot of red tape when you purchase a newly constructed home, so Jed could not inspect the house until it was officially ours. Jed went to our initial walk-through with our builder and noted some items (mainly cosmetic). He is very thorough. He completed the inspection report a day later.
