In response , Your business is listed as being open 7 days a week 24 hours a day. But of course calling at 4:00 pm (during normal business hours) and nobody is available to take my call. This is very frustrating especially when my hard earned money is being spent to pay for a service that is sub par, then to have pay to for something that should have been addressed by the company that you paid to inspect it. Then to have to deal with horrid smells in your home because of someone else's mistake. I read to your "scheduler" exactly what the home warranty plumber put in the report. I read word for word what the warranty denial email said including the P-trap being installed incorrectly. What your scheduler chose to relay to you is in her not me. All the plumbing that the plumber saw was clearly visible for the inspector. No walls were opened. If your inspector is not aware of how a P-trap should be installed then maybe he needs more training. In your voicemail you (Lynn) stated that it was an easy fix for a handy man. This is pretty clear that you are trying to pass the buck and assume no further liability or responsibility. At no point in time did your voicemail say that you would send someone else out to look at it. But it is obvious that you would rather point fingers than take any responsibility. BTW, I was speaking to your scheduler on the blue tooth in my car, I am hearing impaired and I have to turn the volume up higher in order to hear clearly. Honestly, I was in tears speaking to your scheduler because I am getting very frustrated with this companies ripping me off . The volume was up but o was never rude or nasty to your scheduler. read more

I hired Spectrum Inspection Group to perform mold testing at my home. The inspector collected a tape sample and reported the results as negative. After reviewing where the sample had been taken, it appeared to be from a surface mark that looked more like residue from our Roborock vacuum rather than an area of suspected contamination. Because the conditions in the home and my symptoms persisted, I pursued independent testing. I sent samples to ProLab in Florida, which detected mold, including toxigenic species. I also hired LK Environmental to perform professional air and tape sampling, and both tests came back positive. I ultimately had to hire another company to complete the assessment, which resulted in additional and unnecessary expense. Based on my experience, I do not feel the inspection was thorough or representative of the actual conditions in the home. I have reached out to the company regarding this and hope they will address it appropriately. read more

This company was recommended by our realtor. All the other companies I called were booked for weeks but Spectrum provided a next day appointment. They asked that I not be present at the inspection. I should have paid attention to these warning signs but we needed the inspection done quickly due to our close timeline. I received a report that was 107 pages long. I told the inspector to check for major issues because the house needed a full renovation. I received a report of minor issues but nothing major. I contacted Spectrum and Lynn sent a scripted response similar to the ones she provided to all the other one star reviews. She stated this was a full scope inspection performed in accordance with Nevada standards and that many areas of the report went beyond those standards to document safety, structural, mechanical, and maintenance issues across the home. She explained that the report was over a 100 pages and she felt it clearly labeled all areas of concern. In fairness, she also offered to go over the report with me. I should have read the reviews prior to making the appointment. I didn't engage further because it was clear that she was just going to make more excuses and tell me the report was adequate. None of her responses indicated accountability. I have purchased many homes and used several different home inspection companies in California. This is my first experience in Nevada. This report was unnecessarily 107 pages long. We spoke to three different contractors that stated the home potentially had structural issues. They also recommended replacing the roof and windows. We ultimately cancelled the sale due to the extent of needed repairs but we had to contact other professional to get the true picture of the major issues. When you pay $1,245 for an inspection, there is a certain level of expectation. Hopefully, someone reads this review and avoids making the same mistake I did. read more
