Living on the north end I'm always on the lookout for great coffee. While this place is a little out of the way for me they are one of the best places in the area for a good espresso. What I love is their attention to detail and it really pays off. This place is amazing, you can actually taste the natural flavor of coffee versus the overwhelming syrup taste some competitors use. I drove through and was not impressed. The women taking my order seemed irritated and snappy. The coffee tasted burned and was way over priced. It took for ever to get my coffee. It was really meh. I feel bad saying that since it seems a lot of people are over the moon. I haven't been inside but I've been through the drive-thru twice. Both times the baristas were super nice. The biggest problem was that the speaker box doesn't work very well and it's not very obvious where to place your order. In addition the road noise makes it very difficult to hear what they're saying. No biggie I'm more concerned with the fact that I really didn't think the coffee was very good. One time I ordered an Americano. The espresso shots were really off and tasted burnt. Its hard to hide burnt shots in an Americano since there's no milk or anything else to disguise the taste. The other time I had a mocha and truthfully I tasted paper cup more than I did chocolate. I wanted to love it but I just didn't. read more

About the "powdered" mocha post I read here ... I'm drinking a mocha right now and it is most definitely syrup. This is a very clean place, flavorful coffee, drinks well made, eager service, and a relaxed/quiet atmosphere. Ideal place for a long conversation or getting some work done. This reminds me of what Starbucks WAS years ago, before their own popularity turned their stores into loud/dirty locations with McD's level service behind the counter. Here, the owners staff the store. I'm sure that won't last forever. But for now, VERY attentive and appreciative of each customer. An uncrowded coffee house feel? Enjoy it while it lasts. read more

So I came into this little gem while wasting time for an upcoming tour at Funko next door. I must say very glad I stopped in. The roaster was very friendly explained to me the two different roasts he had available for the day, proper storage techniques, as well as when you can tell a roast is starting to get a bit old. He also makes very small batches which is nice for those who want very fresh coffee. Anyway I bought a 1 lb bag, and it was great. The coffee made on site was also good, the area is clean, quiet and comfy. I did not check for free wifi, but I'll just assume it's available like all other coffee shops. Highly recommend RedDoor. I'll be back for the sure the next time I'm in the area. read more

Very good, however not great, coffee. The actual coffee (espresso) in the cappuccino was quite good. Certainly much better than the mega corp that owns the area. The assembly of the cappuccino wasn't as traditional or precise as I'd like, but it was tasty. read more

Great location because there's not much else around in regards to coffee. I got the 16oz iced Americano with honey and creme and it was good. Sit outside between 1 and 3 pm on weekdays and you can watch Boeing employees drag race heading east on Hardeson. Exciting! read more

I am hesitant to give a 5-star review, because I don't want this gem of a coffee shop to get too busy! Beans are fresh roasted every morning and you can taste the difference, even in milk-based drinks like lattes or mochas. I've chatted with the owner about my espresso hobby and he's even hooked me up with free whole beans on occasion! Staff is always friendly. They do have a loyalty program: buy 10, get one free -- and your free drink can be any size, with any amount of shots! I personally enjoy a mocha from here on about a daily basis, prices are in line with other coffee shops, but the quality is above par. read more

Absolutely our favorite place to come Saturday mornings and chill with a delicious cup of coffee. We have tried their lattes, breve lattes, cappuccinos, and chai lattes....no complaints at all. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. You can actually come and have a conversation or just space out for a few minutes. The owner is super nice and funny. We enjoy his sense or humor. Some give superior customer service by kind words, others by actions. This place is strongly in the latter category while not lacking in the former. We told cashier Dad strongly disliked weak decaf iced Americanos. The owner heard and made him the strongest Americano he's ever had--without charging extra. Oldest son noticed same owner threw out the first chai latte he made for him, apparently not satisfied, rather than serving something subpar. Mom's coffee was made fresh, strong yet smooth! i work on hardeson and watched this place like a hawk while it was under construction. stopped in the day after the grand opening and was super impressed. their coffee is roasted perfect- nice and strong but not even close to being burnt. the people are great and friendly- the lady who (i think) runs the place gave my mom and i a big bag of fresh roasted beans in a freezer bag to try at home. definitely my new coffee stop- even on the weekends. i will drive all the way from lynnwood to get a cup here. read more
