The owner is a genius. Good food, great beer selection, great prices and a parking and transportation combo package I've never dreamed existed on planet earth. I can't believe I'm doing this review, I should keep this place a secret. For anyone who has been to a large event, parking is a hassle. Little feeder roads, parking miles from the stadium, trying to find your car later, getting out of the stadium (please can I just sleep here overnight) and driving out. It stinks. What if parking cost the same, you could jump on a shuttle whenever you want (either direction) get dropped off at the front, drink on the shuttle, listen to tunes on the shuttle, and be in and out in minutes. (How??) Get back to Redds bar (and bathroom) and to your car in minutes and now be on different local roads from the other 100,000 people??? Again how??? You'd say this is impossible, but I've seen it and done it. I will never do MetLife any other way again, not at any price, not for any reason. Again the food is good, better than average, and better than stadium food. The beer selection is wildly excellent. But the combo deal is the ticket. I will kiss the owner if I ever meet them. This place is Awesome! I booked a concert at Metlife Stadium...I paid a lot for a local ( thinking we could walk to the arena )..just to find it was impossible!! ( with highway crossings and fences ) so we looked into options...the hotel told us about Redd's !!!! An awsome restaurant with a large parking area who provides parking and shuttle to the venue. We paid $50 for parking and an a round trip shuttle to the arena. It was fantastic! And of course we had dinner there first and it was yummy!!! After we got back from the concert, we got a few Flat crust pizzas to go to take back to the hotel room. All and all....an Awesome place, great food, great service to the arena, fantastic employees, blue color friendly, and overall great eatery!!! I paid $85 to go to, and from the Beyoncé concert and to my hotel, which was one mile away from the venue., It was very convenient going to the venue, however, on the way back, it was an absolute nightmare. My friend and I had to walk with over a mile to get to Lot B and then when we got there there was over 100 people in line. it was so inefficient we had to wait forever and ended up taking an Uber at the end. This is my go to spot before Devils game. It is part of my ritual to enter Redd's and order at least 2/3 of the liter beer glasses they serve. They have an insane variety of beer - over 30 options to choose from (both domestic and international). The vibe before game day is great, you'll see over 200 devils fans packed into the Biergarten sharing the long tables. I've gotten all my friends who never attended hockey games addicted to Redd's and Devil's games through this routine. The food here is also good! You have to get the pretzels, sausages, or wings, as those pair the best with the beer they have. I'll be back next month for the first home opener game and can't wait. read more

Came here on a Saturday night. Plenty of parking in the back back since the good parking spots get taken quickly. It's a nice sports bar with plenty of TVs, AC'ed and not too dark inside. They also got a shuffleboard which was a lot of fun for my first time playing. I was told I got a nice touch. Wasn't super hungry so I just got the jumbo wings with Buffalo sauce. I tried the bookmaker which was very tasty. The jumbo wings was good, wish it was a bit more crispier, will have to mention that when I go back. The bar is not too loud and you can have a convo with someone without yelling. Clean and bartenders are tentative. Horrible venue and don't even think about parking there for MetLife events. I called restaurant up inquiring about refund for parking tickets TWO DAYS before event occurred and was told to email Doug Palsi the day AFTER for a refund if I did not use the spots. I was not told to email a certain account for full refund, like their website says, which would have been helpful. Emailed the day after event, as suggested, and was told they don't refund tickets, even though I did everything to try to release them well before the event. No response on further inquiries over the issue either. Avoid. I'd give zero stars if I could. Happy to retract this if Redd's make good on treating their customers better and fairly. I know you offered free parking for next time, but sadly that's not ideal. read more

Redd's is our go to weekend hangout in the Rutherford area for large groups. Have been coming here for a few years now. The servers/bartenders are always attentive. The crowd is mainly locals, mostly 30s-60s. Just a chill place to hang out - can get loud but you can still hear eachother. I have seen kids running around here too though. There are a lot of TVs for watching all kinds of sports and a digital jukebox. Lots of room to mix and mingle. The drinks are always good - mixed drinks and beers alike. The server offers 2 sizes drinks - single or double. They also make a mean chocolate martini. They have giant liter sized beer mugs if you're really feeling thirsty or you can opt for a pint. A good selection of draught beers for all kinds of beer drinkers. If im not drinking gin, I'll opt for a schofferhoffer or a redds apple ale, it is redds after all. There are always food specials, burgers, pizzas and classic bar/biergarten food. I haven't eaten anything bad here but I'll usually stick to wings, pizza, burgers or calamari. I tried someone's giant pretzel which hangs on a banana stand and has cheesy mustard on the side - it was bangin, might have to get that next time. Parking lot is always pretty full so it can be hard to find a spot. They also have private parties upstairs. read more

Over the years I have been here a few times. Usually prior to an event at the stadium. They use to have a shuttle service. My school recently had our 'End of School Year Retirement Party' here. A buffet was set up and the food was okay. It was a buffet stylet set up and consisted of the usual buffet foods; salad, chicken francaise, salmon, roasted potatoes, veggies, and pasta. The party was open bar and the drinks were great. The bartender was very attentive and helpful. The party room is quite large and it was a wonderful party space. I'd definitely consider hosting an event here. We had plenty of room to dance around with a DJ. There was also an outdoor patio many people were utilizing. Overall, it was a fabulous time! read more

We have been to Redds one other time and have used their shuttle for a game at MetLife. Redds is very confidently located to the stadium which is great. The food is decent bar food nothing incredible but it's bar food. Last time we went, which was maybe two weeks ago (august 7) , it wasn't very busy but busy enough. I guess they are short staff because there was only one waitress. I wish I caught her name because she deserves a lot of recognition. She was the ONLY waitress on a Saturday night. There may have been about 5 tables but I couldn't really tell. But she was busting her butt! You could tell she was running around like a chicken without a head but she did great. We received our food and drinks, all of it with no problem. She even came over to ask if we were ok and to see if we wanted to order more. Nice place to hang out! read more

Came here on a Friday night at 6:45pm before going to MetLife for a concert. Perfect set up! The deal is if you pay $30 for your car, you get access to their parking lot. They provide shuttle service back and forth from the stadium. We sat to eat quick and were seated in the back area where they have picnic style tables (you could be sitting with strangers if you are a smaller group). Our waitress was extremely helpful and friendly and understood we wanted to eat quickly. We had a stein, a half a stein, 2 burgers with fries and the bill was $57 plus tip. Since we didn't finish our beers the waitress made us aware that we are actually allowed to bring our drinks to go while we waited on line for the shuttle and during the shuttle ride (5min max). When we walked outside around 8pm there was actually no line for the shuttle so it was perfect. We hoped right on and were dropped off right in front. Afeee the concert we were told to be picked up in Lot B and there were all the shuttles (easy to find!). Only thing was that it was a little bit of a walk from the stadium to lot B. We were dropped back off at Redds around 11:15 and even grabbed one more drink before heading home. Much easier and faster compared to parking in the main stadium lot. Great service, good beers & burgers, and can't beat the deal if seeing a game or concert! read more

Great place to eat, drink, and park before events at MetLife! Their flat rate includes parking, taxes, fees, and shuttle for everyone in your car. We met some Eagles fans who were staying at a nearby hotel. They paid a reduced rate because they took a hotel shuttle to Redd's. You do need to get there extra early! Jets vs Eagles was at 4:25PM. We got to Redd's around 1:15PM. The restaurant wasn't overcrowded, but all the indoor seats were taken. Not a big deal. There were plenty of tables and seats outside. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was very good. Nice beer selection. Everything was reasonably priced. Around 3:15PM, we paid the tab, went around front and hopped the shuttle. It was about a five minute ride to the stadium. We got through security, went to the bathroom, grabbed a round of beers, and were in our seats before 4PM. After the game, we went to Lot B, and hopped the shuttle back to Redd's. There was no wait for the shuttle. Redd's shuttles have an express lane out of the Meadowlands complex. Didn't have to deal with the disaster of traffic. We were back at Redd's in less than ten minutes. We'll be back at Redd's for our next game or concert!! read more

Took my 2 oldest to their first Giants game on Sunday and we got back to the hotel late but were hungry. Looked a few places and came across Redds. The menu was decent so I gave it a shot. The only good thing I can say about this place is they're open late. I got 2 kids' grilled cheeses and the roast beef sandwich. My bill was $52! Normally I don't mind paying that much IF the food is good, it wasn't. The grilled cheese had maybe 2 slices of cheese. The roast beef itself was very good. The sandwich as a whole was not. There was very little sauce and very little flavor. If I wasn't starving, I would've thrown it away along with the grilled cheeses which my sons only took 2 bites out of. read more

Thanks to a previous review - my gf & i checked out this place that had parking & shuttle to the Metlife stadium. We went for a concert. It was soo convenient! The bar is a small German sports bar! so the tables are like little picnic tables that u quite possibly can sit with others, which we did! Was fun environment - even playing the music of who we were seeing. The Shuttles were great! At the end of the night, It took some walking and stair climbing to get to where the lot was for pick up - but that's just how the parking lots are at Metlife, u have to find the tunnel to get to the B lot. After finding it thru the mass exodus of the arena it was fine. Lots of small busses were waiting for us! I was out of the stadium and on the road & on the Turnpike within 1/2 hr Best idea to grab lunch, park & shuttle in one shot! I've been here several times. It's a cool hangout spot. It has plenty of space and TVs. I came here this time around for a party. The staff were helpful, and always around. The food was actually good for bar food (chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, sliders, wings and pretzel bites). Usually it's the same junk, but it was actually better than I expected.
