Such a dope spot. If you can see I've been here many times over the years as you can tell from the date in my last review. Came here on my birthday as my first dine-in since covid-19 with my mom and her friend and couldn't be happier yet again. Carla the bartender( she's there during the day usually) was awesome as always and my mom and her friend loved her. Drinks were well done and our food was amazing so props to the chef. We had the mussels with white wine sauce and wings and they were delicious. Pro tip: when you eat the mussels loosen the mussel within the shell spit the shell and dip the mussel and halved shell into the sauce and slurp it in one gulp. You'll thank me later. We all had the wings and they were terrific. Remember half price wings on Wednesday after 6pm. Happy hour was great as well we all had the apple martini which Carla made them nicely balanced not too sweet or weak. Happy hour is 4-7 for $6 apple martinis, cosmos and margaritas. Oh and a juke box. They use to have before covid, comedy open mic nights and karaoke but not sure if they still do but do call and ask. During the day it's mostly locals but at night it livens up with a younger crowd during the weekend. Also Bruna the waitress who came in later around 6 was very sweet as well. Great new hire Nikki. From the outside, this place looks like a strip club--and walking in doesn't change that impression. The food is overpriced and tastes like frozen bar snacks, and the drinks aren't worth the cost either. To top it off, they're often out of half the items on the menu. My experience was middling, so the review will go right in the middle. I like Jackie V's breakdown. Service: 4 stars. At times I was a bit ignored, but since I was talking to comedian friends and watching them on stage, that wasn't the greatest sin. I was never left looking around impatiently. Food: 4.5 stars. It was taco tuesday, and I do recommend the tacos. It's a good deal for a good amount of tasty food. They don't have that many options, but there are some other things to try on non-Tuesdays that look appetizing. Beer: 3.5 stars. A bit lacking on selection, but I was able to find at least one interesting one to drink. Bar may have been a bit backed up because of comedy night. So far, a solid 4 stars, but then we get to: Atmosphere: 1.5 stars. And that's not because it's a dive bar. I give plenty of stars for that. It's because they scheduled comedy night at the same time as a pool (billiards) tournament. Comedy night was just thrown in. Patrons in the back were talking loudly the whole time, so the constant clack of balls wasn't even a distraction compared to just trying to hear what each comic was saying. I had to shush people several times and just gave up after awhile. Rude patrons, but terrible planning and an unprofessional job by Nikki's. If this was a comedy club, I'd rate it 1 star and never go back. But it's not. It's a dive bar first and foremost. So yeah, I'd come here just for a bar night if I was in Little Ferry. But you would have to pay my mileage and tab to get me to go here again for comedy. read more

We're so happy we came across this place for our son's 21st birthday celebration! From the outside, it looks very small, but inside it's open & spacious. There are many tables & a nice size bar. Also, there's a stage for a DJ who's there on Friday & Saturday nights. On Tuesday nights, they have karaoke. The staff was very accommodating under short notice & put together a fun, memorable party for our son & his friends. The owner, Nikki is very nice & worked with us to perfect every detail. The food was delicious & the place is lively & fun. From the music to the DJ to the staff to the whole vibe...it was a great time. Also, one of my son's friends has a severe food allergy. Happy Hour till 9pm everyday, can you ask for more? They're happy hour menu features beer, wine, cocktails and some food. Prices are very reasonable! I had the mussels, wings and chicken fingers. Mussels were made in a nice tomato based sauce, although slightly undercooked the sauce really made up for it. Comes with some bread so make sure to dip up the sauce with it, you won't regret this one. Tried the wings coated with garlic Parmesan. They had a really nice flavor just wish the wings were a little more crispier. The chicken fingers were really good, had mine with buffalo sauce and these were just made perfect. Crispy but still enough sauce to get that nice flavor. Would definitely come back just because they're happy hour has probably one of the best deals you'll find around this area. I'm a resident of little ferry for 20+ years and I'm happy to say that Nikki's is a place that I hope will be here to stay. This venue has hosted many restaurants/bars in the past 20 years, but I think Nikki's is here to stay. Let's break it down: The service: the girls at the bar are ALWAYS prompt with refills and making sure you're taken care of. They're super friendly and you couldn't ask for anything more. The decor: I love the decor of Nikki's. The color theme is navy and blue (my favorite) and it's really clean and a modern looking sports bar. The deals: you can't beat these. It's like happy hour everyday except for Saturday I think. Happy hour til nine with $2 coors, $4 blue moons, select $4 shots, and other awesome deals. Not to mention their $5 happy hour apps. The food and drinks: If the prices weren't already too good to be true, the food quality is excellent for the value. We like to come on Wednesday for the comedy show and $.50 wings. They have like 20 flavors to choose from. Definitely recommend the garlic parm. I also love the mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. Huge portion for $5! The stuffed mushrooms were also pretty good! I discovered this bar about two years ago by word of mouth from a friend. Went in with my wife and was greeted by the friendliest bartender ever. I believe his name was Joe. He was very experienced with his drink making and made me a delicious Mojito, or as he called it, a Joe-ito. Recently, went back with my wife during the social distancing- outdoor dining only, and ordered a bar pie (pizza). Let me tell you, this was argueably the best bar pie I've had in ten years. So let's rate this by category, service= 5 stars.. my waitress was beyond great. food was 4 stars on the chicken Francese and short rib grilled cheese. Delicious. The potato skins disgusting but that's ok since it wasn't a main course. Drinks however 0 stars if possible. How do you charge $16 for patron and $20 for don julio repossdo and that's BEFORE TAX AND TIP. So basically one patron drink is going to run be $20 alone everytime. This is a nj bar. I pay those prices in downtown Manhattan at fancy revenues where my meal would have been 3 times the amount. There's no way my meal is cheaper than ONE patron drink. Been wanting to try Nikki's for quite some time, so i was out riding and decided today was the day, i walked in and sat at the bar the bartender was very nice and introduced herself which to me is a big plus, looked at the menu and they have some good items, I noticed what the girl next to me was having and she described it as heaven so i ordered the short rib grilled cheese sandwich with onions and she was right this was delicious, the service was great. Came to this dive bar with the family for my mother's going away party. Location was good with plenty of parking. Pretty large bar, with pool table. I think it was pretty cool they offered either 10% or 15% off (can't remember which one) for police officers who show their badge. It was a Friday night and they had a band playing, which geared to entertain an "older" crowd. They had great happy hour prices for both drinks and food, which was nice. The bartenders weren't that quick with making drinks even with it being as busy as it was, seemed like they were just taking their time. No matter where I was, at a bar or table, I waited about ten minutes every time I wanted a new drink. Our original waitress was very slow and kept forgetting our orders, however, there was another waitress (can't remember her name) who came to save the day running all over the place doing her very best, you can tell how hard she was trying and it was sad to see her so overwhelmed trying to keep the night together. This place just seemed so new when we walked in! It was really clean, smelled clean, and all the utensils were shiny. There was a bar tender and what appeared to be the husband and wife owners. Unless you are a light skin Hispanic DO NOT come here. The service is horrible if you look even slightly black. We went Saturday night it was horrible. The workers didn't pay attention to you if you weren't a man or Hispanic. We waited almost an hour for drinks then the drinks they brought over were horrible. They were too busy taking shots and dancing to actually serve the people who were waiting. I've been to this bar so many times and I've never been treated so poorly or experienced such horrible drinks. I'm good with never going back again read more

Sooooo you'd never expect the menu to have the Latin hint of flavor from this place as the cover band plays 90's rock songs as you await your turn at the pool table. Service is done with a smile by staff members who attend to the details. The sanchocho (Traditional Dominican hearty soup) tastes like you got it from the lady selling it outside the airport in Santo Domingo. Mama cooks this one personally. It is the real deal. The chicken rice medley was solid and the plantain, shrimp cups were a real treat. The sauce in the plantain cups is a great part of the flavors with this dish. Best was the calamari. I have been blessed with great calamari encounters lately. It's not even my favorite food but I love when people get foodie with calamari. It is doused in a sweet and spicy sauce after a light batter fry. The profile of the chili sauce is really good with late heat. I damn near ate the whole thing. It was intended to be a shared plate. Nikki's bar is a breath of fresh air in Little Ferry's stagnant bar air. This bar and grill has something for everyone. The food is delicious with a side of Latin flavor (sabor). From the welcoming and gracious happy hour to the cool theme nights / dj's /karaoke / sports game packages everyone will have fun. They have a very nice well maintained pool table and a whole room for darts. Come through have fun have some wings and enjoy the best of Little Ferry entertainment. Thank me later. I'd give no stars if I could. Still in shock that our waitress tried to steal the money we left to pay. Yes I said STEAL!! You see we left a hundred dollar bill and 4 twenties to pay our rather large tab. When we went to leave we were told we didn't leave enough. What !!! Stopped by here with my colleagues for happy hour. All I gotta say, is their happy hour deal is awesome. Food is pretty decent and they have a pool table. My only complaint is...they had TVs everywhere and I asked our server to play a NBA game on one of the TVs...and she didn't seem to know how to. After trying for like a minute, she just gave up and told us "I don't know..." I don't find it necessary to play hockey games on every TV. Its a sports bar and they should mix it up. Someone also needs to educate the servers how to use the TVs. read more
