    TOMAHAWK & PAELLA MARINERA

Decided to try this place after finding out their 2 other location had a longer than usual wait time to dine. Honestly, i'm glad we dined here because it was less packed and the food was AMAZING! They also had a full bar so we ordered a 1/2 pitcher of red sangria (yum)! For food, we ordered the garlic shrimp for appetizer, followed by paella marinera and tomahawk to share. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! Meat was cooked perfectly (still sizzling in cast iron plate) with paella filled with seafood! Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good time and delicious food!

This was my first visit to Segovia Meson and it was very pleasant. The restaurant has plenty of parking and both the interior and exterior are kept clean. Silvano, our Server, did a great job throughout the meal and gave appreciated recommendations. I started with a Red Sangria and it threw me for a loop. It was served in a large glass, had an acceptable amount of fruit, but it made me hand over the car keys, again. I wish I wasn't such a lightweight, but c'est la vie. However, it was confirmed, that the drink was strong. We started with the Chicken Croquettes. The batter was thin and tasty, the chicken was savory, and the appetizer was large enough to share. For the entree, we shared the Skirt Steak, thinly sliced, with Broccoli Rabe, Sautéed Potatoes, and Shishitso Peppers. The steak was tender, prepared medium-well, and all of the accompaniments complemented the steak perfectly. With this visit, I have visited all three Segovias. They are all recommended and will be revisited.

I attended yesterday for my grandma's 80th birthday and I just wanna tell you what a great place to have a party. The waiters were absolutely amazing. The family style appetizers to start off were amazing. The filet mignon empanadas are top-tier the garlic shrimp didn't miss at all. the stuff lobster was amazing and my favorite. The flavor and how buttery it was was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place for gathering. I wish I could give the waiters a shout out but I forgot to ask them their names. Thank you for such a great experience.

I've been to all the other Segovia's, but never to this one. So my husband and I decide to try it out last night. There was no wait and we were seated right away. A cup of soup, and a basket of rolls are offered on the house with your meal. I ordered the sole franchise which was a larger piece of fish and came with three jumbo shrimp. All was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. My husband got the pork chops in a garlic sauce, which was a huge portion (3 big chops). He also was very happy with his choice. I even tasted a bite, and they were so tender and flavorful. Along with your dish they also bring out the potato chips, rice and broccoli. Staff was friendly and accommodating . Will definitely be back here to try some other menu items!

A few years ago I came here to look for a place for my baby shower. I never ended up picking this place, but it was second on my list. It is a cute spot. They have a nice party room. However, I did end up coming here for my mother's birthday on Sunday with my family. Reservations were taken. Huge parking lot. Service was great. I got the surf and turf which was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals from the oxtail, escargot, pasta, and seafood platters. We would all come back again.

The food is amazing. From the warm bread to entree, the food is well prepared and delicious. The service on the other hand is horrible. Our server, Miguel looked like he hates life itself and everyone that goes to the resturant. He's rude and has smart ass comments. He didn't even introduce himself and as a former server at resturant, an introduction was the first thing we did. If you have him as your server and ask a question, you'll most likely get a smart ass answer back. He was so rude to my mother who simply asked a question. He's the reason I will not return. Awful service makes the experience horrible and the food itself isn't enough. We've celebrated our father's birthday back in April and it was amazing service and guess what Miguel wasn't the server. Thankfully, but this second experience was awful and disappointing. To make matters worse, they charged my sisters card twice and when she called back the manager denied it although it's on her statement. They required a $200 deposit to make the reservation and advise you if it will only be taken if you don't show up but at the end of the night they will say it's going towards your bill without warning. Honestly, the food does not make up for the horrible service. The 1 star is only for the food. I hope management see this review and makes an upgrade because Miguel will have people running out of there and never coming back!! I suggest you find a better place like La Havana 59 :)

I was excited to go to this spot to celebrate my good friend's birthday. I made reservations for 7pm and arrived right on time. I parked in their private parking lot. I walked in and there was a lot of people waiting. There was no one at the hostess stand so waited a while until I seen a lady that seemed to work there and I asked if there was a hostess. She said she does it all including management. I told her I had reservations and my name and she said give her a moment. I waited about 10 more minutes until she sat the large party then got to me and sat us. The place is very spacious which was appricated. We were served by Miguel. When he got to us after a few he asked if we wanted a drink and I asked about the sangria and if they made it fresh. He answered with an attitude "uh yeah" like I was supposed to know. I already knew what kind of night we were going to have. While I get Miguel was busy serving, he was not very attentive. He never checked on us and we had to get his attention for the check. Service wasn't great, let's just say that. Here's the good part, the empanadas I ordered wasn't bad at all. The bread was very fresh and tasty. My friend ordered the Segovia Platter. I tasted the clams, scallops and filet and they were all good. On the other hand the sangria was a tad watery and not strong at all. Also the food took forever to come out. The bill came to about $89. All in all I had an ok experience and would probably only come back to order take out.

We were one of the first parties to walk in, the host took us to our table right away. I was mezmerized by the gorgeous interior, art and decor of the place. They have a huge full service bar as well. The menu had few choices in each of the sections of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, salad and entrees. I ordered the bulgogi tacos from the appetizers section, that came with 2 tacos filled with slices of flavorful bulgogi steak, topped with some pickled carrots and cabbage. For entree I got the NY strip melt sandwich. Again the sandwich was filled with delicious steak pieces, caramelized onions, cheese and aioli. The bread they used was really fluffy and thick, but I was glad it was the soft brioche kind. The seared salmon was cooked perfectly with beautiful char all around. Loved the virgin pomelo drink so much, I got two of them. The service was good overall. Our server was friendly and did a good job attending multiple tables simultaneously, including ours. The dishes came out within decent intervals. Overall we loved the lunch experience, and look forward to returning again in future to try some of their other dishes.

We ordered a few things. Spicy Tuna Tartare: wasn't spicy, didn't taste fresh which wasn't a deterrent to me as this isn't a seafood restaurant or fine dining. Next time I'd pass on that. Bavarian Pretzel: amazing. Very tasty. Came out nice and hot. That rarebit cheese sauce? Oh honey that can come home with me anytime. Absolutely delicious. And this is coming from someone who hates that fake cheese, cheese whiz type taste. Margherita Pizza: didn't come out hot which is probably why I wasn't a fan of it. It was pretty mediocre for such a basic pizza. And the food didn't come out all together, so not sure why that didn't come out hot. Wings and waffles: Tasty buffalo wings. The waffles actually taste like funnel cake which was a nice surprise. THEN. The burger came out and that is why this review dropped. It had a small hair on the side of the plate and a closer look at the rest of the plate, you'll see a long hair on the pickle. That was disappointing but happy to have tried the place nonetheless.

For those who aren't history junkies, FDR ran on a platform calling for the repeal of the 18th amendment, Prohibition. During the Prohibition Era, speakeasies (hidden drinking establishments) popped up left and right due to the nationwide ban on alcohol sales, consumption, production, importation, and transportation. After his presidential victory, the 21st Amendment, ratified on December 5, 1933, officially repealed Prohibition. The restaurant's name is a celebration of FDR's repeal and how it impacted the American hospitality industry and economy as a whole. The interior is meant to transport customers back to the roaring twenties. Think flappers, The Great Gatsby, dim lighting, black/gold/burgundy colors, plush chairs, geometric wall patterns, vintage chandeliers, mosaic tiled floors, etc. There's four "sections" of the restaurant to dine in, each with a different vibe. *Lucy's Parlor - A hidden speakeasy named after FDR's mistress. This is my favorite space. They really went creative with the wall decor! There's black and white photos of Prohibition protests, as well as excerpts from love letters exchanged between FDR and Lucy. There's a small bar and a good amount of seating. Sophisticated, sexy vibe. *The Hide Out - A private and intimate dining space for a group of 4-6 people. You get special attention from the Executive Chef. They offer two seatings per night by reservation. *The Saloon - One of the main dining areas, complete with a large bar, high top tables, a fireplace, a vintage piano, and flat screen tvs. *The Dining Room - A formal dining area for private events and parties. It has a mahogany bar, skylights, and LED lighting. The drinks and food? Of COURSE they're on par with the theme. Most of the menu is elevated bar food, but they also have steak, pork chop, and seafood options. They have Happy Hour every day - all day on Wed & Sun and twice a day from Thursday-Saturday! DJs on the weekend. They even have a Sunday brunch! I've only had drinks, so can't speak on the food yet. I've tried... *Roosevelt Side Car (Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, syrup, and lemon juice with a sugared rim) $15 - Definitely a strong drink with a sour aftertaste! Not my favorite. *The Bee's Knees (Hendricks Gin, St-Germain, lemon juice, and honey topped with rose water) $15 - Refreshing, bright flavor and definitely on the sweeter side, but I loved it. Whether you want to sip on creative cocktails, book a private event, or enjoy a dinner meal, The Roosevelt is worth a visit.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Piadina: This sandwich was packed with chunks of chicken and chopped bacon (obviously, based on the name of this menu item) and was served on a crispy Parmesan wrap. The ranch was not smothered onto the sandwich, but was served on the side. I feel this was a better alternative because the dressing absorbs into the sandwich which compromises the texture. The presentation of the sandwich could have been better; it needed to be aligned more symmetrically. Salted Caramel Pizookie: This dessert is a variation from an original chocolate chip cookie Pizookie. Toffee, pretzel bites, and white & dark chocolate chip morsels were mixed into the warm caramel cookie. The confection was topped with a single scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. I enjoyed it down to the last bite and craved more. Upon ordering, I did not realize only miniature pizookies are included with this weekday special, hence the name of the ad, "Pizookie Meal Deal." I found out after the fact I could have substituted a regular sized Pizookie for a $4 up charge. (Had I known, I would have upgraded in a heartbeat.) The meal was decent for the most part, but the service was outstanding. Bartender Enrique was very attentive. He kept my water glass filled. When I requested a doggie bag, he also brought me a separate cup of ranch sauce for the leftovers. Enrique was conversational and it was a pleasure being served by him. #bjsbrewhouse #pizookie #minipizookie #saltedcaramelpizookie

Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
