In March 2025, I went to Panacea for a chemical peel with their esthetician, Heather, because I…read morewanted to look my best for my upcoming engagement. During my visit, I casually mentioned that my under eye area was starting to look hollow, but that I was nervous about filler in such a sensitive area. Heather recommended Ultherapy, explaining it would help my body naturally produce collagen and in turn plump up the skin. I trusted she knew what she was doing and agreed to go for it. It was the worst decision I have made in my 34 years. The procedure was extremely painful and right before finishing, Heather said she was going to use a higher setting and treat under my eyes one more time. In that moment, she essentially carved into my face and destroyed the fat under my eyes. After I finished peeling, my under eyes looked awful. I developed severe discoloration, and I began waking up with under eye bags, something I had never had before ever in my all my life. I reached out to Heather, and she acknowledged the darkness, telling me to wait another week and that I would likely peel again. That never happened, and my under eyes did not improve. Realizing Heather did not know what she was talking about, I saw a dermatologist for a second opinion. He was shocked Ultherapy was used on me given my age, lack of wrinkles, and low facial fat. He told me Ultherapy should not be performed on patients with low facial fat, especially around the eyes. I brought this information back to Heather, and she arranged for me to meet with one of the female surgeons, I think name is Kimberly. Both Heather and the Kimberly repeatedly insisted Ultherapy was safe and could not have caused the damage I was experiencing. Because of the discoloration, Kimberly kindly offered me free of charge MOXI laser treatments and told me I could return as many times as needed until the problem was corrected, and that Maria would perform the treatments. I completed three MOXI treatments with Maria. The first two visits were fine, but by the third, she became dismissive and had the audacity to question whether I expected the treatment to be free. I said yes, because that was what I had been told and I still clearly had discoloration under my eyes. She went on to say I was taking up time on her schedule, benefiting from use of the machine, and because of that I should pay something and would check with Kimberly on how much it should be. Kimberly honored her word (suck it, Maria) and confirmed the treatment would remain complimentary, which I appreciated. At that point I was turned off completely and I asked whether it would be safe to use a higher setting so I wouldn't have to keep returning. Maria said yes. That was another mistake I made. After the third treatment, my under eyes looked even more sunken, the darkness spread further, and I developed fine lines and wrinkles in the areas she lasered. I was absolutely horrified and became severely depressed. After seeing three different dermatologists, I finally found one who correctly diagnosed the issue: the discoloration was not hyperpigmentation, but hemosiderin staining. I was told that using high setting, heat based lasers in such thin skin caused fat atrophy which exposed more of my vascular system, and on top of that traumatized the blood vessels, leading to the staining/discoloration. I have spent close to $4,000 on filler appointments and specialist visits to diagnose and treat the damage caused by Heather and Maria. What started as a $300 cosmetic appointment has resulted in not only loss of significant money but also loss of self-esteem, and permanent damage that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. TL;DR: The medspa staff at Panacea are ill-informed and uneducated on the lasers/machines that they use and have caused irreversible damage that has deeply scarred me mentally and physically. Please stay clear of getting procedures done at this practice's medspa.

I want to recognize the current physician assistant, who was outstanding. She was thorough, knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. She provided excellent care and was the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the support staff appeared disengaged and lacked the warm, welcoming hospitality that patients expect. Small touches that once elevated the experience, such as complimentary water, were no longer available. The office itself also appeared to be in need of attention. Air dryers were positioned at the entrance, seemingly addressing water damage, several paintings were peeling, and the waiting room chairs appeared worn and unclean. It seemed that much of the clinical staff consisted of interns, which contributed to a less polished experience. It is disappointing to see such a noticeable decline in what was once an exceptional practice. While I appreciate the excellent care provided by the physician assistant, the overall experience has left me questioning whether I should continue as a patient. I sincerely hope the practice restores the high standards that once made it one of the area's best. So sad.

Maybe a practice that doesn't treat you as a number. This was quite the contrary. Below are some reasons why I am leaving and why you might want to avoid this practice. Wait times: You will wait every-time you arrive for your appointment. Not 5 minutes but more like 30-40 mins. Billing: Prices are outrageous and inconsistent, even for routine clinical visits or prescription refill visits (with commercial insurance). If you call to clarify what is on bill, you will be met with poor/rude customer service and very little explanation. There isn't even a link on the the paper statement that directs you where to pay. I received a bill after only a few weeks of my visit with a hand written message threatening to send me to collections. Experience with providers: The providers are ok. I got the feeling that they were just checking boxes. They would ask me questions that were already addressed in previous visits losing track of the continuum of care. I found it to be very frustrating to have to constantly remind them why I was there. In addition, they could never get the pharmacy correct. I told them several times in-person and over the phone where medications should be sent. If you have a question about your medication or where it is being sent, you will often be sent straight to an answering service. Sometimes I would get a call back but more often than not I would have to make follow up calls or just show up in-person. This practice has an opportunity to stand out in a landscape increasingly filled with impersonal volume driven clinics. Unfortunately, their focus is more on money and less about the patient experience. Sad

I feel botched and seeking help from another surgeon! I'm more self conscious and more disappointed in the way I look prior to surgery! I came to Dr Berhane because I felt as though he did a decent job with my prior surgeries but I truly believe he wasn't skilled enough in the area of legs and body lifts! I would have preferred him being completely honest with me in his ability to perform this type of surgery vs attempting to do this surgery and messing my body up! More skin was removed from my arms vs legs, no liposuction was done, I have a permanent scar on my buttocks for no apparent reason, very crooked and uneven scars and so much skin still hanging from my legs and buttocks! My butt has been spread apart and it looks horrible..It doesn't even look like any skin was removed at all and I actually look worst than before my surgery! I cry almost every day when I look at myself in the mirror naked! I'm so angry about my body and feel ripped off! Upon speaking with Dr Berhane after surgery and during my healing process I don't feel as though he listened or addressed any of my concerns or issues! But rather tried to pacify me..After months of recovery it looks worst because gravity is taking place and more skin laxity is settling in! Breast cancer patient under the care of Dr. Grace Ma. This…read morereview is not for cosmetic patients. It is for women navigating reconstruction after cancer, especially younger women trying to make careful, long-term decisions about their bodies during an already overwhelming time. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent mastectomy on September 3, 2025. I chose this surgeon intentionally because I did not want breast implants. From the beginning, I was clear that I wanted reconstruction using my own tissue. My goal was not to recreate what I had before, but to move forward in a way that felt livable in my body. Smaller, lighter, natural. I would have rather gone flat than have implants. Based on those conversations, I agreed to a staged reconstruction plan. I underwent mastectomy with placement of a tissue expander with the understanding that DIEP flap reconstruction would follow in about three months. My mastectomy went well. My pathology showed the best possible outcome and I had no healing complications. There was no medical reason to delay reconstruction. I continued through recovery believing the plan was moving forward. I completed a CT scan specifically for DIEP surgery. At my final appointment, I was told surgery would be scheduled and to expect a call from the nurse. After receiving no call as promised, I followed up. The following week, I received a voicemail stating that DIEP reconstruction was not covered by my insurance and implants were suggested instead. I contacted my insurer directly. They informed me no prior authorization had ever been submitted on my behalf. The procedure had never been reviewed, which also meant I had no path to appeal. I reached out to the office multiple times asking them to submit the authorization or confirm in writing that they would not, so I could move forward elsewhere. I received no response. As a result, I have been left for months in the expander stage of reconstruction, which is supposed to be temporary. It is painful, physically limiting, and not something you can simply adjust to. I cannot sleep on my side. I have ongoing discomfort and shoulder pain. This has gone on far beyond what I agreed to. Eventually I had no choice but to leave and find a new surgeon, restarting reconstruction mid-process. That should not happen in the middle of cancer care. This was not a medical complication. It was a breakdown in communication and follow-through that left me without access to the reconstruction I had planned and consented to. It also reflects a failure to respect clearly stated patient goals. I filed complaints with my insurance, my state senators, and the Insurance Commissioner. The Commissioner's office investigated and determined that the barrier to my care was the responsibility of my provider, not my insurer. Today the medical board informed me that my complaint falls outside their jurisdiction and referred me to the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. We are talking about cancer treatment and my body btw, yes, the body I live in and am always aware of. Women are not lifeless objects that have no thoughts or feelings. My cancer reconstruction should not be in the same category as a microwave oven but that is where becoming a client of Peachtree Plastic Surgery has led me. If you are a breast cancer patient considering reconstruction, do not assume that statements about what is or is not covered are final. Confirm that a prior authorization has actually been submitted and reviewed. Get everything in writing. I would not recommend this surgeon if your goal is autologous reconstruction or if you do not want implants. I am sharing this as a warning so that other women do not find themselves in the same position.

She put my husband on a text messaging app and kept him informed continously what was going on. He stood outside with our small dog. I was immediately taken back by my nurse Nei. She took me to my room and explained everything thoroughly. The room was VERY CLEAN. The B/P cuffs are new with every patient, measuring taps new with every patient, gowns wrapped new in plastic. Thick cleansing cloths used pre surgery. I've was started first stick. Everything g flowed like a fine tuned watch. Anesthia had a Dr as well as An Nurse Anestatist and Two anesthesia assistants that came and introduced themselves. Dr. Ma came in and fully discussed the entire procedure. On first meeting her I knew she was the one for me. Kind, gentle, intelligent, thorough and more then capable. Her entire team... VERY thorough and professional. I was initially nervous but with their professionalism and genuine caring I felt at total ease. 11:00 I was wheeled into OR. I was given "Happy juice" so I didn't have a care in the world!! Next thing I knew 11:30 I was fully dressed in my room. Absolutely no pain. I was wheeled to my husband's car and off we went. It is now 8 hours since my breast implants were removed. I have NO pain!!! They ordered me pain med but so I don't need it. So arrived at 0930. In surgery 1100 out of surgery 1136 left for home 1230!!!! Amazing. What a team....
