    Pro-tip: Happy Hour from 4-6 on cocktails ($10), glasses of wine ($10), and bottled beer ($5), as well as a select of starters and dim sum. Overall a great experience, especially service wise! Server Robert was fantastic and was able to share all his recs without a loss of breath. He was incredibly attentive and prioritized our experience to be a good one! We enjoyed a sharing of the Peking Duck, which was well enjoyed. Would highly recommend ordering a side of veggies, as we felt we were missing something (this was due to our own choosing). I didn't love that many of the cocktails were pre-batched, so I may decide to go with something different next time. Dim Sum choices were abundant, but seemed to be more of the carb and less of the meat. In the heart of downtown, an accessible option (although I guess parking could've been easier, so maybe ride share), especially if you're planning on walking around afterwards! Close enough to head over to Moody Center (ACL Live) for a show after!

    Wow!! I'm impressed with the variety and creativity of the dishes here. Disclaimer though: for authentic dim sum, I wouldn't recommend it but if you want a fusion experience, I think it's worth trying. We opted for the free flow brunch, which is $58 per person. The best dishes were definitely the duck lettuce wrap appetizer and the duck fried rice. The duck here is really good. Next time, I will definitely try the Peking duck. I love how they put eyes on the crab dumplings and the Pac-Man dumplings are also sooo cute. But to be honest, the guacamole didn't make sense for me. Color-wise, the presentation was nice but I wouldn't actually eat guacamole with dumplings... The chicken is really salty. I don't recommend this. The curry with the crab dumplings were also salty. I appreciate the service as they packed our leftovers in to-go boxes, which made for a nice second meal. Don't forget about dessert! They don't have a dessert menu so they'll just tell you about it. The chocolate dumpling took some time to make and come out but it was delicious! It has Nutella and banana inside. Usually comes with four pieces but I just wanted a taste so they made me one. We also got key lime pie, which really completed our meal perfectly. If you go their website, you can get a $50 off $100 discount via InKind.

    I went here for dinner with friends. When they first opened, getting a reservation was almost impossible, so I was excited. The space is nice, although the ambience felt more Italian than Chinese, and the prices are on the higher side. The service was excellent and my glass was never empty, which made the experience even better. Food highlights: the scallion pancakes were crisp and flavorful, and the beef and broccoli with filet mignon was easily the best bite of the night. The meat was tender and full of flavor, but it mostly just tasted like steak over broccoli and not really any Asian flavor or influence. The hot and sour soup was good, but I've had better for much less. The lollipops weren't a favorite. Overall, if you are looking for traditional Chinese food this isn't the place. While there were some tasty bites and great service, I probably would not come back at these prices.

    I've been wanting to check out Red Farm for some time now. But... I just couldn't justify eating Chinese food at the price point it's in. However, after being invited to a friend's birthday dinner in their private room, why not. As expected, the prices are staggering & the portions are small--I nearly choked when I saw the menu. The Peking Duck alone is $105, double the price of Bamboo House's version, and honestly, just as good, maybe even less so. Be careful getting here, as Red Ash (Italian restaurant) is around the corner and may add some confusion. While the dishes we had were tasty (Pork & Crab Soup Dumplings, Gold Coin Scallion Pancakes served Curry, etc), Red Farm is comparable to many other Americanized Asian restaurants in the area who focus on the same attributes--Elevated Chinese food using quality ingredients catering to the American palette. Note: Parking can be a challenge. Only street parking (free, but requires patience), a paid private lot or parking garage (also requires payment) is available.

    The service and the ambiance were 5 stars, the food was 4. Pregnancy craving said I needed soup dumplings, even though I don't love Chinese food. So to redfarm we go, and the soup dumplings did not disappoint. Delicious! But also $20, so $5/dumpling, that hurts. The pork fried buns were dry ($17) The pacman dumplings are kinda dumb, not worth the hype at all ($19) The mocktail was very good ($9) The half Peking duck was good ($58) and glad I got to try it once. We were offered a small side of white rice, but could upgrade to fried rice. I did say I don't like it so it will only be for my husband, thinking it would be a SIDE. It was a full $24 bowl of fried rice. I didn't like that move at all, very miscommunicated. Overall the only thing I would get again would be the soup dumplings. I'm being generous with 4 stars and probably wouldn't crave coming back here. Pro-tip: good luck finding parking. They don't validate any.

    Great service. Food was good but a bit more Americanized that I would have liked. I got the hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, lettuce wraps and shumai. Nothing in particular stuck out. Will go back for an another try one day!

    My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we had food and drinks here. This is not your typical Chinese and dim sum restaurant. They had some different twists to dishes such as the Pac Man dumplings. I definitely want to go back to try out more dishes. Also, the space is nice and the service is fantastic!

    This place is so delectable and amazing. Make sure you end your meal with the hot chocolate dumplings. They are unlike anything I have ever had before! The Peking duck and the soup dumplings...omg really absolutely everything. The staff was very busy but did their best to be attentive and gave us fabulous recommendations. We actually changed what we were planning to order and were very happy we did!

    My first time at RedFarm was life changing! Little dramatic but this was my first time ever trying soup dumplings and I am obsessed! I've been craving them non-stop ever since. It wasn't too crowded on a Thursday night. With a group of 3, we were able to be seated right away without a reservation. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food was so delicious and fresh. The wide rice noodles with BBQ'd duck is a must try. Can't wait to go back!

    We came due to an AMEX plat resy credit and wanted to try some fresh takes on dimsum and did the rolling brunch for $58/person. We had a fantastic server (Diar) who didn't hesitate to give us recommendations when we didn't know what to order. Diar was also super attentive without being overbearing - refilling our water frequently, noticing when we were ready for the next round of orders, etc. The dishes were suuuper flavorful -- and if they were more traditional, they actually tasted authentically chinese (as opposed to your american chinese takes). If you're here with a party of 4, would highly recommend going with the rolling all you can eat option because the portions are perfect for sharing. Highly recommend, definitely one of our better Resy finds!

    Dropped in for an early dinner and caught the tail end of happy hour (which was good given the pricing of the cocktails). The restaurant has a bar area where you can get a drink if you need to wait for a table. Seating is both within the restaurant and a covered patio area. It looks like the restaurant could accommodate large parties, but would really require advance reservations if you want to do that. According to the website - valet parking is available for $12 (plus tip). The happy hour menu was a welcome reprieve for pricing - both food and drinks. Cocktails were near the $20 mark so $10 happy hour pricing made them much more affordable (if not an indication of the mark up). Several appetizer plates were available as well for reduced pricing which gave us the opportunity to try more things. Our server Taylor was awesome and helped with recommendations and kept our little table full of food and devoid of empty plates. Overall - I would say that the food was pretty good albeit leaning more towards the over salted side. Pricing was rather elevated - which I think is owned in part to their other locales (NY and Miami) - this makes it less of a place I would have on rotation and more of an occasional change of pace restaurant. Here's what we had: Spicy Crispy Beef - Crisp (or at least hard) bits of fried beef tossed in a slightly spicy sauce (a little sweet/spicy) with onions. This was much better when hot - less so as it cooled. BBQ Duck Lettuce Wraps - a mix of dice duck and some veggies with beautiful Bibb lettuce leaves. Served with what appears to be a pico de Gallo and a sauce. We were excited about this dish but it was turned out to be just ok. The duck mix wasn't memorable, the pico was an odd accompaniment, but the sauce added a little more depth to the flavor). We wouldn't order this one again. Mushroom & Vegetable Spring Rolls - a bit of a misnomer since they aren't exactly spring rolls, but are more fried egg rolls. They show up looking like trees on a cucumber base with wild fried limbs. An interesting presentation, but the rolls were a surprise delight for the evening. Easily in our top 3. Chicken and Shrimp Lollipops - two long toothpicks adorned with a golf ball sized ball of shrimp and chicken that had been fried. If you try to bite - they will fall apart (maybe better as a single bite). We liked these. Ma Po Tofu with Chopped pork and shrimp - this was also a very good and also the least salty of the dishes we had. It paired well with a side of rice (but also - getting charged $5 for a bowl of rice??? I mean it's it a staple of Chinese food?) Wide Rice Noodles with BBQ'd Duck - this one had fairly authentic flavors with nice wide rice noodles and tasty duck. This one was universally well liked. Drinks - The Eastside Roku - Roku Gin, Bergamot, Butterfly Pea Blossom, Shiso, Cucumber and Lemon to combine in a flavorfully refreshing purple drink. Kiyushiki Old-Fashioned - Suntory Tiki, Nori, Angostura Bitteres, Ginger and Agave. Makes a pretty decent lightly flavored old-fashioned.

    We did not have a bad experience, it was just underwhelming and lacked quite a bit. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, so I would not spend a lot of time contemplating what to wear, as it is very casual and that extends to the staff. Our waitress Marissa was very sweet, but everyone was just kind of young and not as professional as one would have hoped at an establishment such as Red Farm. We dined here the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was quite empty. I am not sure if this is normal or if it was due to it being a holiday weekend. At any rate, there were times it seemed to be more staff than patrons. Not really knowing where to start, we began with the pac-man dumplings and crispy duck and crab dumplings. The pac-man dumplings were good, but I felt they are more designed for pics on SM. The crab and duck dumplings were not your typical dumplings; they were deep fried and the filling was stuffed inside of a small crab shell. They also had little red eyes, again for SM pics. (Please see pics below). They were awful as was the curry that accompanied the dumplings. For our mains, we had the mushroom and vegetable spring rolls that were good, but the presentation was a bit over the top. The shrimp stuffed chicken lacked flavor, but the duck fried rice and wok-fried string beans and brussels were good. There are plenty of amazing Asian restaurants in ATX and while Red Farm does not rank in my top 10, they do have a few options that sounded appealing and I would be willing to give them another try on a to-go order.

Some guy dressed to the 9s got turned away for not having sleeves whereas I got in with sneakers and a t-shirt. They ask for your cellphones upon entering and give you a key in exchange, but there doesn't seem to be any security to enforce it if you don't want to give them up. I have no problem with their policy, but I bet a lot of customers do. Interestingly, their little social experiment seemed to have a positive effect, where we ended up talking to strangers and vice versa. The Powder Room may be making America social again.

No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

When I said we didn't mind waiting since it was only midnight, she then stated they would be closing soon at 1 a.m., even though the posted closing time is 2 a.m. These explanations contradicted each other, and her tone came across as dismissive. She avoided eye contact, offered no real assistance, and ultimately suggested we check for seats ourselves, which felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. For a venue with such a strong reputation, especially on a special occasion, the interaction fell far below expectations. I hope the team can ensure more consistent and courteous service at the host stand moving forward.
