This is a rare and interesting Southern Asian fusion spot. I found it upon searching on Google, they should advertise more! I thought the dishes were creative. We got the soup dumplings for appetizer. The soup was flavorful, but the meat can be a bit gamey with a slight strange aftertaste. Therefore, I asked for chili paste on the side which took care of that as it paired better with the soup dumplings and masked the strong meat taste. I enjoyed the Cajun surf and turf, esp the garlic pasta. However, meat came out medium instead of medium rare. The house fried rice was way too salty for me but my husband enjoyed it. I just have a low salt tolerance overall so may be a me problem. The owner is the sweetest man!! Our waitress was also so sweet and attentive. Excellent service. I hope people give this small business a try. The owner has been in the business industry for a long time and he hopes to finally build something that is more of a stable in Austin.

Red bean jambalaya rice with sausage. Comforting, filling, and delicious. Wonderful mochi, too. Great vibe, especially compared to places closer to the airport, and even to the look of the surrounding neighborhood. Low, warm lighting. Minimal wood and black. Good music. Small feel. Classy. Service was quick.

We are here after arriving at our hotel. It is a hidden gem off Riverside drive. The food is very flavorful and plentiful. I tasted the lichees cocktail it was one of the best I had. The dinner was also amazing, I ordered the seafood and macaroni and cheese dish. Usually you get a few shrimps and crawfish, but my plate was filled with both.

What a great find! Was searching somewhere in this area and CK Kitchen popped up. Got there shortly after opening on a Saturday afternoon and were the only guests for a few. The location is nicely decorated with clear bar and dining sections. Restrooms are unisex with two rooms. There is outdoor seating as well and when it's warmer would be perfect. The staff were so friendly and funny. They were aware of the Sun setting and adjusted the blinds to make sure we weren't having the sun in our eyes. Great service! The food was amazing, got the Goyza, spring rolls and blacked shrimp with noodles. Everything had amazing flavors and the garlic noodles with the main dish were the star of the night. Also got the Lychee martini and yummy!!! I'd 100% be back to try other items.

Super cute restaurant. Loved the shrimp skewer as well as the bulgogi. Good portions for appetizers. Very nice staff, and super fast service. Was just stopping by here at a layover, but will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

This place quickly became one of my new favorite Asian fusion spots in town. From the first bite, everything just tasted like home. The Cajun Surf & Turf (with soft noodles) is a must-order. The steak and shrimp are grilled perfectly and coated in a rich, creamy sauce that's full of flavor WITHOUT being overwhelming. It has the right amount of flavor that keeps begging you to have more. I also loved the Jade & Purple. The vegetables and eggplant are cooked with the perfect amount of umami. It's flavorful in such a simple, comforting way like how my late dad used to cook his eggplants. I'm looking forward to seeing this restaurant be prosperous and get the attention that it deserves!

Parking? Easy. They have a front lot off Congress and another one off Sandra (just South on…read moreCongress after you pass the bar). The drinks? Oh my gaaahhd. I'm usually not a fan of 'craft cocktails' out bc they're overpriced and not nearly as good as what my partner makes at home, but these were glorious. These drinks had layers of flavor. And fresh ingredients. And they were reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't even remember the last time we had such good drinks out (ok that's a lie but another review and it was at that place where Crowbar used to be - but these win hands down). The bartenders were nice and knowledgeable (Did I mention they make amazing drinks?). The outside has a similar feel to Cosmic but more secluded which is nice. They have plenty of seating, mostly outside, and food from an onsite truck, Sabor Tapatio. Honestly, I feel like this place is a unicorn. 78745 low key vibe but also with some old school Austin feels (I'm talking 2005 mid-Noughties - not 20-teen Rainey Street batch cocktails). They also have coffee in the mornings which we'll be checking out sooner rather than later. 10/10 recommend.

There are plenty of different seating options but very few seats inside. The place is chill, ordering drinks took some time even with no rush. Seems like they have some pre-mixed type of cocktails. Honestly, neither of us liked our drinks much. We actually left it behind. The food truck is nice to have though we didn't get to try. Happy that South Austin is finally seeing some nice spacious outdoor hangout spots.

I was a guest at hotel recently while awaiting flight out the next day and ordered fettuccine…read moreAlfredo w/chicken to take back to the room.... Portions in to-go package were very small, almost like the size you would serve a small child. Food was greasy and bland. Paid $20 total for something that was worth less than $5. Not a lot of options around area but I'll take the time to uber to a restaurant or find a hotel with better food options during next Austin stay.

Great place for really, really good late night food. In a Holiday Inn Express. No really, I mean…read moreit. Ok, I'll wait for you to stop laughing. Normally good food and Holiday Inn go together like squid goes with chocolate, but this place was one of the more pleasant surprises I ate at in Austin. We were watching some bands nearby and needed some food at 930pm. Looking on Yelp (what else would we use?), the only highly rated food places nearby were a few food trucks and a restaurant in the Holiday Inn. We wanted to sit down badly enough that we decided to risk disappointment and GI distress. Man were we glad we did! The good: the waitress, I think her name was Brittney, was very nice and welcoming. There weren't more than 2 other tables at that time of night, so she walked us through the menu. Everything was made on site including the ice cream. The restaurant itself is clean and open. There's a full bar. The menu has pretty good options for the vegetarian with us and for us carnivores as well. The sandwich I had was really good and the brownie waffle dessert with cookies and cream ice cream and hot fudge STILL HAUNTS MY DREAMS! The prices were reasonable, and the food was remarkably good. The bad: the reataurant is in Texas, and I'm in California. The mediocre: nothing Overall: This place would be my go to late might place if I lived anywhere nearby. It's probably best that I am not nearby because I would also weigh about 200 pounds more than I currently do because I would eat that dessert every day until I could no longer walk without assistance.
