If this wasn't like the only place to shop in Wetumpka I wouldn't go. I always try to go at times when there will be the least amount of people because they tend to like to take up as much space as possible like putting their cart in the middle of the aisle and have their family members hog up the rest of the space. Then when you try to get by, even with saying "excuse me" they either try to ignore you or give dirty looks. So much for Southern hospitality and friendlyness.... This Walmart was clean at the time I went, I did not check the bathrooms so not sure of their state. The male greeter is always friendly at this Walmart. Employees tend to push the online order carts into the ailses without checking if anyone is already there or saying excuse me, I've had to avoid getting hit a few times. Like I said the people here are all around rude with no manners, but that seems to be a trend anywhere now and days... The great thing about this location is they have the self checkout on both sides of the store. I prefer self checkout because cashiers seem to like to put my tomatoes in the same bags as things that will squish them. The regular cashier lines can get long, that's pretty much expected at any walmart though. This Walmart also has the gas station. Gas tends to be cheaper here than the other gas stations near it, it can get pretty packed during peak times. They also have drinks available for purchase as well as cases of water. Overall it's a little better than what is expected at most Walmart locations. So I continue to shop here instead of driving 30 minutes to Montgomery or Prattville for better options

The 2 ladies who "check" receipts at the door are rude and ridiculous. Why is there only one entrance/exit with someone checking receipts? Why are some receipts checked and others can exit with no problem. I've never been treated so rudely at other locations. Why is your employee/ "receipt checker" watching customers walk to their cars? You're not the police or security. I've shopped at this location longer than she's been employed there. I've spent thousands of dollars at this location only to be treated like a thief. Now I see why the turn over is so high for mangers and employees.

When the…read moreelectricity went out across the entire store, there were no Walmart leadership giving direction or updates. The backup generator failed to kick in, leaving customers stranded in a long line for 30 minutes with no guidance. Despite the confusion, shoppers remained calm and patient--but where was management? What is the store's protocol during a power outage? It certainly didn't feel like there was one. The only staff who made any effort to help were a man named Mari and a young red-headed woman--both of whom were kind, professional, and thanked us for our patience. They deserve recognition for stepping up when no one else did.
