I came here a second time. I finally found it because I forgot where it was. This place still does not disappoint me. I still leave here better than when I came in. A lot of people do not get what they want, but you have to understand that if you're trying to get what you want within a short amount of time so you don't have to pay more, you're not going to really get what you want. I noticed this from many different massage places if you pay for the minimum you're gonna get the minimum, the basic. but if you pay for more, you get the basic plus extra. Meaning the extra is what you want so keep it that in mind.

The receptionist was kind, and after a brief discussion, I chose a one-hour deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, the experience was terrible. The therapist used excessive pressure, which made my pain worse, and she placed hot stones on my back without checking the temperature, causing a burn. I tried to express my discomfort, but she didn't understand English, so I couldn't stop her. After the session, I spoke with an older gentleman at the front desk. Once I paid, he asked if I would leave a tip. I declined, and he became outraged. I told him that a tip is optional, not mandatory, and that the reason I wasn't leaving a tip was because the massage was horrible, and the service was poor. He didn't like my response; he told me I was the worst type of person, that my kind of people were horrible, and he launched into a series of racist insults, disparaging Mexico and Mexican people, calling us the worst. He refused to return my card, even though it was rightfully mine. When I threatened to call the police, he doubled down, asking invasive questions about my citizenship, all while continuing to disparage Mexico. Only when I started recording him did he backpedal, claiming he had no issue with Mexicans. Eventually, another staff member, presumably the owner, stepped in, calmed him down, and gave me my card. This was a deeply distressing experience, and I strongly urge others to stay away from this business. Everyone deserves respect, and this establishment failed on every level.

The staff is always friendly, the space is clean, and they accept insurance, which makes everything super affordable. Even when it's busy, they have another site available for additional therapy services, which is really convenient. The only recent change is that therapy services now have an additional cost, but they do offer memberships that make it much more affordable. If you're new, it won't feel like a change, but for long-time patients, it's just something to note. The doctor will be all smiles at patients and as soon as they are out of sight the doctor changes his tone directed at staff. odd. Mornings were too inconsistent for me. It was normal for the movement center to not be open on time. I would walk back to the main building and track down staff to assist me. On more than one occasion I just left. It's not just them. The doctors don't keep a consistent schedule. They are late to appointments or randomly leave skipping appointments all together. I tried adjusting. I stopped scheduling in the morning or near lunch or near closing. Then I just stopped scheduling all together.

She was referred to me from a friend, yet I still did my own research and interviewed a few other midwives before committing and I felt like she was the best fit. Each prenatal visit was at least an hour long - she gave me time to ask my questions and never made me feel silly or brushed me off. Having no previous exposure to a home birth, I had a lot of questions yet she answered them all gracefully and in great detail - giving my the confidence I needed to believe in myself that I could do this and that it is safe. Also included in the package was a prenatal massage around 36 weeks and when I tell you it was the best massage in my life - you have to believe me! It was amazing! That hour flew by and I was ready to book another one When I went into labor, I waited until almost the last minute to tell anyone, just to be sure it was the real thing. Well, it was the real thing and it was go time by the time my husband got home from work and Heather arrived. But she didn't waste any time, she jumped in and gave me the encouragement and reassurance I needed to get through transition and birth my baby girl. She was so amazing and was not afraid to get her hands dirty. My 3 year old was there and Heather included her in everything and never pushed her out of the way. Even though I was almost pushing as she walked through the door, she still handled everything with such a calmness and peacefulness that it made that crazy intense last part of birth go so perfectly. If I decide to have baby number 3, a home birth will definitely be my preferred route and Heather would be at the top of my list of midwives (but I would give a longer heads up next time ).
