There's another in the playground area. I don't think the city intends on installing more permanent restroom facilities. The main access off 18th street via Egypt Dr is still under construction but I imagine it will be complete soon. The park itself is complete.

All is fenced in, and includes quite a few benches for humans to sit. My biggest gripe is that there is a dog bowl, but no way to fill it with water. Being high desert, I'd expect that there would be a way to get the dogs some water. Luckily I brought my own, and suddenly became really popular with all the other thirsty dogs begging for water. I realize that's a luxury, but with a dry climate, I guess I thought there'd be some way for them to stay hydrated. There are lots of trees, so the area is well shaded, but completely dirt.

Salt Creek Falls is Oregon's 2nd tallest waterfall, a 286 foot plunge from top to bottom. Visiting…read morehere is easy. It's located right off Highway 58 and 65 miles southeast of Eugene, OR. It's a $5 day use fee. I visited on Labor Day Monday and it wasn't so busy. Once you park, Salt Creek Falls is off to the right hand side but...Diamond Creek Falls (another very worthwhile waterfall to visit) is located towards the left hand side. So...I'd suggest visiting both. You get rewarded with 2 waterfalls for the price of 1 admission. The pathway to Salt Creek Falls Viewpoint is half a mile at most, but along the way there'll be a quick preview of the falls beside the staircase leading towards the trailhead. You can't miss it and you'll hear the falls loudly crashing down below. The hike to the viewing deck is casual. You walk through the forest. It's pretty quiet. Once you arrive at the lookout viewpoint, Salt Creek Falls is impressive. You get undisturbed looks at the waterfall. If your curiosity interests you, you can walk around past the platform for closer glances. I did venture out a little just to avoid the guardrail being in my pictures. But I would say...it's a very steep decline and footing wasn't so secure. Be cautious with your steps. You'll understand this while there. Btw...there were no signs indicating you couldn't venture past the viewing deck. It's up to you to decide how much further you'd like to explore. I noticed some people joined me on the cliffside, while others stayed on the viewing deck. In all, it doesn't take long to see Salt Creek Falls. It's definitely a refreshing breathe of air to be at another marvelous Oregon waterfall, and that's where making the next part of your visit better when you return back to the parking lot and continue onto the 3 mile roundtrip trail to Diamond Creek Falls. I won't say too much about Diamond Creek Falls. I can save it for another review, but I will say it's a complete 180 degree different type of waterfall and setting. You get more into the heart of nature. And you can stand at the base of Diamond Creek Falls looking right up at it cascading in front of your eyes in comparison to witnessing Salt Creek Falls from a vista point platform. They're both unique natural wonders in their own ways. If you're in the central part of Oregon, I'd make plans to come to Salt Creek Falls. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by two magical looking waterfalls that barely get recognition. I didn't know they existed prior to 2024, and I thought I had been to them all, lol. Goes to show...there always more to see, always more to discover. Getting out among the great outdoors is a beautiful thing.

I can't believe there were no photos on the Yelp listing because this place is gorgeous! There is an on-leash area for dogs with trash cans and bags for puppy byproduct. Also, there's a paved path that twists and winds through the entire property. The park seems to be divided into several distinct areas. You'll find an open field, a large parking lot, an older playground with traditional play structures, then what looks to be a newer section with unique climbing structures and sculptures. It's a very cool place. The entire park is lined with trees, and because everything is bright and colorful from the fall foliage, it's quite a sight. The primary restrooms are closed for the season, but there was a porta-potty available for the public... though it's in desperate need of attention. Otherwise, this is a Five-star park.

Oh man - how I wish this splash pad and area was here when I was a kid growing up in Redmond…read more As a parent - it is so fun to watch your kids run around this cute little splash pad. If you grew up in the area - you can reminisce about how the place has grown - the old library and post office (which have both moved on to bigger buildings) are within eye view. Watching my two children play with these buildings in sight definitely brought back some nostalgic feelings. As a kid - what a blast! The splash pad rotates through several different blasts and I saw many kids (including my own) enjoying themselves immensely. There was plenty of seating for parents to sit and still be able to watch their children and a huge grassy area where you can sit and have a picnic. Obsessed!

A little hesitant at first but with all the other kids playing there she quickly adapted. I saw a concession stand there but didn't try any food. There were sit down tables with umbrellas for shade and a free tree shade areas in the park. A couple places to sit near the water but you can get wet there. A great park! Lots of street parking and there is a centennial public parking lot across the street.
