Been coming here for over a year now and very happy. They're great about Covid precautions, have HEPA filters running, and staff are all pretty good about masking (the hygienists are great, the front desk staff are not as good). Dr. Yum is efficient at filling cavities; no pain for me! Also showed me before & after pictures which was appreciated. However, I was disappointed during one [routine] visit when he just barely took a look in my mouth and then told me to schedule a follow-up. Dr. Yum has been my dentist for the past 10 years and as long as he's in practice here and I don't leave town, he'll be my dentist forever. For a person who had many horrible experiences with dentists in her past, I am just amazed at how I am looking forward to our appointments. It had always been difficult for me to smile big since I had injured my teeth when I was young. Dr Yum has been my dentist for over 10 years. During this time he has always worked with me to balance my dental needs with my budget. He enables me to make informed decisions and plan in advance for needed but not extravagant work to be done. When I was in college and without dental insurance, he gave me a discount. Later when I expressed interest in straightening a tooth, he worked with me to establish a payment plan and got me clear Invisalign-like trays at a fraction of the cost. Dr. Yum has been efficient with cavity filling or dental work on the occasions where it has been needed. He always has me in and out quickly and I have never had any pain. His team uses digital X-rays to ensure progress and they send text message reminders of upcoming appointments. His dental assistant staff is friendly efficient, and puts me at ease. They always remember what is going on with my life. I have been extremely pleased with his office's work and his integrity. At first impression, he looks sales person, not a doctor. His biggest concern for our first visit was to keep my family for the next appointment. Dr. Yum is amazing!!! I cant say enough nice things about him and his staff. He is very informative, patient, and works quickly. He's incredibley gentle, he's never caused me any pain. His staff is the same way! They are all extremely kind people EVERY time. I have never had a bad experience in this office. I've referred at least 6 people to his office and they all say the exact same thing. They are very personable. I can mention to someone there that I am reading a certain book. 3 months later I'll go back in and they'll say "So how did you like that book?" I've been a patient of Dr Sang Yum for at least 20 years now, and no matter where I have lived in Puget Sound I have driven to his office for cleanings, checkups, fillings and other treatments. I first went in fearing I needed a third root canal on a tooth and Dr Yum diagnosed me as having a bite problem, fixed my bite and solved my problem. He's amazing at figuring out what is going on and acting before expensive intervention is required. I am resistant to novocaine, and Dr Yum understands how to numb me up so I don't feel a thing. He's also outstanding at getting the numbing agents right where he needs it so you don't walk around drooling for half the day! I did visit last August 7th. I haven't been there for a while because I was relocated to Reno, NV last year. My family found another dentist here Reno, NV fortunately. And I had a business trip to Seattle this August. I gave a call to make an appointment and got a check-up and annual exam. They never disappoint me. I am very satisfied with their service - filling, cleaning, any other clinic. All of my family including my 3 kids love there too. I was always seated on time as I have an appointment. Dr. Yum was always kind and nice. I did feel that I am really taken care of. He explain well and recommend me to take care of my teeth properly. I was very impressed with the hygienists. There were several hygienists there and I have experience with two of them. They did deep cleaning my teeth very carefully and gently. That was really good to me. Because I felt very painful when I got deep cleaning service at another dental office before. I hope I can have another business trip next February for my next 6 month check-up there. :) read more

Dr Yum is by far the best dentist I've ever had! His staff is amazing, caring, and really gets to know you, and Dr Yum is very professional and friendly. You really feel like he is doing what's right for you, and his work is top notch. I've had a lot of dentists, some were not so good. Dr Yum has fixed many of my previous dentist's past mistakes, and I no longer have any pain! His work is so fast, and he's so good at his job, that appointments are so quick and painless, and you can get right back to your day. I usually do not write reviews, but I feel like Dr. Yum's office deserves a mention. This was my first visit at Dr. Yums office, and let me start by saying it was an overall great experience with kind, efficient, and knowledgeable staff. As I arrived, The front desk staff greeted me with smiles which felt very personable. My appointment was scheduled for 4 PM, and after completing a couple minutes of paperwork, I was in the seat for my appointment right on time, which isn't easy to find these days. In terms of the teeth cleaning itself, the hygienist was extremely friendly, fun to talk to, and seemed very efficient in her time management. This was one of the first dentists I have been to where my jaw didn't ache constantly throughout the appointment, as she made sure to let me know when I could close my mouth and give my jaw a rest! Once the cleaning was completed, the doctor came and examined my teeth. He told me I had a couple of teeth that could use precautionary fillings, but told me it wasn't mandatory at the moment and was just something to keep an eye on. Dr. Yum seems like a very honest dentist, and I could definitely tell he was not trying to charge me for procedures that were not needed. I have had several bad experiences in the past with being overcharged and lied to, so let's just say I'm very happy I found Dr. Yum's office. I really do recommend going to this office if you are looking for a reliable, honest, and friendly experience! 5+ stars!! read more
