The staff were all really great here, from check in to check out This is a really good central location in Hermosa Beach, with lots of great stuff in easy walking distance, including the very nice beach itself. Unfortunately there were a few problems, one being at least half of the outlets didn't work. Really inconvenient. There was also almost no room for clothing, so unless you are traveling REALLY light or are only staying one night, you will feel this right away. Also, not very good windo coverage. If you are a rooster, waking up with the sunrise is great. If you are on vacation, not so much. Not a horrible hotel, but they really missed the mark on what I consider basic hotel stuff. read more

We called for a last minute overnight and had the best time. Natalia helped us and check in was a breeze. Room was spotless and quiet, continental breakfast was delicious, and you can't beat the beach proximity. AC was quiet and blackout curtains were much appreciated. Wow! This hotel is AMAZING seriously. Can't believe it's not talked about more. I've been to many 5 star hotels and nothing like this one. Service is above and beyond. They have everything you need here. So close to the beach, rooms and hotel are beautiful!! Walking distance( less than 5 mins) to the promenade/strip. They have a gym and balcony's in every room. They offer beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas with your stay. They have a mini refrigerator in rooms stocked with goodies along with snacks to bring to the beach on top. Tyrone helped us out since the hotel also provides rental e-bikes and cruisers to ride along the beach for a good price!! Tyrone is a literal angel, his service is out of this world . He helped us with our stay tremendously. Seriously couldn't recommend this place more, My family and I would come back here 1000% our next beach day at Hermosa. Thank you H2O Hermosa!!! read more

we did a last-minute trip out Hermosa. We stayed at this hotel. It was brand new, very clean. It states it has a view of the ocean, it does, but only from the balcony rooms and the view is very subtle. It's from an angle. nevertheless, it was a good clean hotel and staff was friendly. read more

I love the service and the location is fantastic! Only a few blocks from the Strand. I stayed here for the music festival last weekend and really enjoyed here. Natalia was very welcoming, detailed and always available to help out for any questions. I also love the modern look, and breakfast that definitely a plus! SO. DIRTY. NO HOUSEKEEPING. NO REFUND. I checked in around 5p on a Thursday. There was a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my room door and the room itself was a mess. They sent me to another room where I found several long thick strands of hair on the bed and the sheets were stained. When I asked about housekeeping I was told they had gone home for the day. I can appreciate staffing procedures outside the norm, but not at the expense of cleanliness and up-to-code practices. Worse, they refused to refund me even though I did not stay one night there. I will never book with this hotel again. read more

I will definitely stay here again as the onsite service was great, friendly, and I like the decor and area. A couple of minor things. 1) Pretty much every light in my room was installed crooked, the shower drain was also installed poorly, there were scuff marks on the walls, one outlet was so loose my charger wouldn't stay in, but it didn't matter because the USB outlet worked, and considering this hotel is fairly new, I can't tell or don't know if it was NOT renovated or if it was just built in such a rush, or there was just so much wear and tear in the short time it has been in business. 2) Everyone is super helpful when you are there, but I had been emailing a few months in advance and none of my emails went answered. So I finally called and they did have the NOTES in my profile, but no one ever got back to me to say all was fine or to answer my questions, etc. When I called I was half expecting them to not have my reservation. 3) The shower was clean, but not spotless/brand-new looking like I am used to when staying in a hotel room. The lobby smells great. I have no idea what they use, but it might be an electric Air Wick scented oil plug in thing. :) I didn't use the gym or go on the roof so I can't speak to that. I did like my room though. I could hear the room above me walking around even though I asked if there was a room above me and was told no. I thought the roof would be above me. The continental breakfast was more a long the lines of yogurt, granola bar, an apple, mini muffins (like you might get in a vending machine), and a small bottle of OJ, etc. It came in a brown bag. Next door is Chef Melba's Bistro which I LOOOOOOOOVE. I ate there every single day for 3 days straight. read more

Perfect Location. The location is close, convient and perfect distance to the beach. There is a nice park, bike path and a shoet walk to a variety of places to eat. This boutique hotel has it all... parking allotments, complimentary beach towels, in-room nescafe machine (I dont drink coffee but they had tea bag options), complimentary brown bag breakfast, rooftop patio area, and most rooms have their own balcony...although we didn't get one because the hotel was sold out to a beach volleyball tournament. There is a small park close-by and the beach is just steps away. It's not by the pier- but it's just a couple of blocks away...who wants to be right next to the pier? I want quiet when I'm on vacation. I'd come back here in a heartbeat . The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The room itself has a very spacious feel to it and you can select "mood" lighting to go along with the occasion (nice touch). The only thing that I would change is having a balcony....other than that it was perfect. read more

The room set up was carefully thought out, so much so we spent waaaaay too much time just chilling inside. But cool weather this weekend, so it was all good. Booked a weekend stay at H2O Hermosa to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and let me say that the staff, and overall stay was GREAT! Location was everything, short walk to a beach path that led to a lot of restaurant options near the pier. The room and overall hotel was extremely clean. Traveling with our 2 month old son is new for us (first time going on a trip as a party of 3) but the cleanliness of the room/hotel made us feel extremely comfortable. Premium channels (DirectTV), WiFi, and mini bar all were great bonuses. We stayed here for 1 night to enjoy our old stopping grounds. Tyrone was especially helpful in checking us in upon arrival and helping us to get our 1 year old into the room so he could nap. The lobby is beautiful, staff was very kind. We had a few hiccups but honestly the staff and Tyrone rectified the situation and were very empathetic, understanding and went above and beyond to make it right. I had a nice little getaway at this cute boutique property. Great location to everything. There's no need for your car after you arrive. The valet was waiting in the small garage and check in was really quick and friendly. I called down for ice and it was delivered promptly to my room. There's a well equipped gym on the 1st floor but it was closed because of COVID. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. This is a great place to stay if you like more intimate, relaxing accommodations with a friendly staff. I'll definitely recommend this place to all my friends. Thanks for a great stay! read more

Perfect getaway with your significant other. I took my girlfriend here for a few days and we had a blast. Being so close to the pier we were able to easily walk over to the bars and restaurants for a nice dinner and then have plenty of time to take a nice walk on the strand at sunset before heading back to our room to relax. read more

This is not your average hotel. It's clean, it's elegant, it's personal. I stayed in one of the third floor rooms and the way the natural light was let into the bathroom from the ceiling started off my mornings just right. Caveat on this review: I've never actually stayed at the hotel. However, my wife and I dropped by the hotel a few days after they opened and were blown away by the hospitality of the staff. Omar Seffar, the floor manager on duty when we were there, was an extremely nice guy, showed us around the entire hotel (which was incredible), discussed the architecture and future plans of the hotel, and answered every question we had. It honestly was some of the best customer service I've ever received at a hotel, and we weren't even paying guests. I definitely commend this hotel on doing a great job on hiring great staff - would be happy to stay here in the future. read more

I was super hesitant to stay at a hotel during a pandemic. However, H2O made me feel so safe! They really do take extra precautions to make sure everything is clean. As soon as we stepped into H2O I was very impressed. I knew it was a new hotel, but the lobby was gorgeous and really modern! We stayed on the top floor and our room had natural a lot of natural light, so it felt very bright and refreshing. It is a fantastic beach hotel that feels upscale for a very affordable price.
