The Food and service was amazing! loved the peaceful setting for the outdoor seating area! Off the beaten path, but worth the drive.

All the good was great!! One of the best food spots i've had period. The portions were very generous for the price. The peach cobbler is actually heaven. Service was excellent our waiter was very nice and very tentative. The ambiance is amazing, especially if you're sitting outside. Overall a great spot to steal at

Went on a Saturday night in April. Place was packed! Wait was only 20 minutes for a table. They have lots of seating inside & outside (covered patio). They have a separate bar where you can grab a drink and wait. On a crowded night the bathroom line can get long (only 2 stalls). The appetizers: pork belly skewers & curry hummus with pita chips were both amazing. Lots of flavor. For dinner we had the ribs, pulled pork, & blackened catfish (all with 2 sides). Loved them all and they were large portions. The sides were also excellent. Really enjoyed the sweet potato and broccoli salad. Entrees were $16-$22 with two sides. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

What a food knockout! Redpoint BBQ is my new favorite Gorge food spot, and I didn't expect that going in. That's because EVERY food item is top-notch and gourmet! Huge portions, so order accordingly lol Ranking my food items, from best to least: 1) Baked sweet potato (best I've ever had) 2) Hot Chicken sandwich (add the brioche bun) 3) Broccoli salad (perfectly creamy) 4) Asparagus (perfectly grilled) 5) Rack of ribs (the only subpar item, was ok) Also commendable are the drink prices! Cocktails were $9 so that went a long way to our enjoyment. As for the place, there's plenty of parking and great outdoor seating in a relaxed peaceful nature area. I can't wait to come back!

Came for dinner on a Thursday night at 4:37pm and it was packed. I had read it got busy on weekends, but every outside table was taken and we got one of the last inside tables. People were parking along the drive in, but then we realized they did have overflow parking. Parking all together was a cluster. There is no information on how to order if you order at the counter, sit down, someone seats, you, etc., so that was confusing. We got a seat, a server came over and got our order. It was soooooo cold inside. We had to go get jackets. It took a really really really long time for our food to come out. The food was delicious for the most part. Pulled pork and bbq sauce was tasty as was the Mac and cheese. The Cole slaw was just meh. My husband liked his brisket and sweet potato. He didn't love his corn bread. It came with an herb better that taste like a cheddar bay biscuit. One person got the grilled chicken and didn't care for it. All in all, great food and good portion sizes. We also got charged for 2 kids drinks even though it said they were included on the menu so I'd like that $6 back. They don't give you a receipt so I had no way of knowing until after I paid.

I can say this was like a highlight meal of my trip - it was a random pick one night on the fly but so worth it!!!! We got it to go but plenty of seating and it seems like a first come first serve kinda place - we came at opening. If we had more time it would have been a wonderful place to dine in or out with so much space!

Once you overcome the challenge getting parked, this place is on point for a lot of food options, including if you have gluten allergies. My lady friend loved her pulled pork, and I enjoyed my blackened catfish, but it would have been hotter. But let's talk about the real star of the show, the mac and beans, with a little glaze drizzled on top. Call it a signature side or just call it yummy! Friendly, casual vibe and attentive service. Needs better parking options.

Brisket, Mac n beans, sweet tater, pita and hummus, old fashioned.

Got here at 345 on a Thursday to make sure we got outdoor seating. It wasn't nearly as packed as other reviews say. We got the curry hummus and pita chips. It was delicious. Had the old fashioned and honey bee for drinks. They were both great. For food we had the brisket with Mac n beans and sweet tater, hot chicken with broccoli salad and mac n cheese, and smoked wings. Literally everything was amazing. The brisket melted in our mouths, the hot chicken was perfectly seasoned and spicy, and the wings were tender and delicious. The original server we had was amazing, blonde woman, but a different server took over that wasn't as attentive (blonde but with several tattoos). All in all it's the best food in the gorge, by far the best bbq I've ever eaten, and I smoke a lot of food on my own. Gotta try it.

Some friends had recommended this place and we finally made it out to the gorge to try it. It definitely far exceeded my expectations. You don't often find a place like this in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. The food is amazing! Portion sizes are literally giant. We're pretty big eaters but could have totally shared a meal. Considering the size of the plates, it's a great deal too. I got the ribs. It was a full rack of ribs and I could eat about half. My husband got brisket and my parents got pulled pork. We all had different sides and they were all amazing. The ribs were my favorite, the pork was so tender and flavorful too. Brisket was good, but I would get the ribs again or the pork again next time. service was great too.

The folks at our campground recommended this BBQ place. SO glad they did! They said you turn down a gravel road and it looks like you're in the middle of nowhere. They were right! We got there a little after they opened (4:30 - they open at 4pm). You can sit anywhere you like so we sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful view. Staff here is very friendly and attentive. If you need anything you can grab any one of the servers nearby and they're happy to help. The food - outstanding! And HUGE portions! I had the pulled pork and mac n beans. There was so much pulled pork that I ate it for 2 more days! The mac and beans... I wasn't sure about the combo (mac n cheese and baked beans) but wow! Delicious! My husband had the brisket. I think it's the best brisket we had in a very long time. Again - big portions and we had plenty of left overs. Definitely make a stop here if you're in the Red River Gorge Area!

Southwest chicken salad with spicy ranch

We had a large group for lunch at Redpoint BBQ on Mother's Day, 5/10/2026. This place was amazing!!! We were quickly seated outdoors and the service was fantastic! The servers brought us ice water and iced tea in carafes for the table. I ordered the southwest chicken salad..... I don't even have words for how delicious it was! The spicy ranch dressing was the best. We also had the curry hummus, shrimp and grits, brisket, pulled pork, Nashville chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, asparagus, coleslaw. The portions were big and EVERYTHING was delicious! I'm already planning another 2 1/2 hour trip to have that salad again! I wish I took pictures of all of the food. Excellent job, RedPoint BBQ! We will be back!

Apricot chicken, Mac and cheese, cornbread

This was the highlight of my trip! Large portions at a reasonable price. The staff was very kind, great experience overall

Catfish, baked potatoes and vinegar slaw.

We had dinner and it was awesome. We had the Brisket with baked beans and cornbread. The portion size was large. Baked beans had bacon in them. The cornbread was tasty. And the brisket was scrumptious. We also had the catfish and pork plates. Ine person had baked potato and vinegar slaw and the other had broccoli salad and baked sweet potato. Everything was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely would recommend.

We will never waste our money here again. Service was awful, appetizer burned, both duck and steak were overcooked. My meal was supposed to come with asparagus that was no where to found. When I inquired about the side, I was told that the asparagus was ground up in the half dollar size polenta cake. SERIOUSLY?? Duck portion was less than 4 ounces (mostly fat). . $45 for a tiny filet. These folks are trying to play at being a real restaurant when all they're really doing is robbing people blind with sub par food and service. One person covering 5 (yes, 5 WHOLE tables). Even on an incredibly slow night service was awful. I don't know about anybody else out there, but I don't have $200 to throw away on BS restaurants. Especially disappointing on your anniversary. Let we not forget the wines, no brands listed, that tasted like watered down crap. The only reason their Facebook says 100% recommended is because they delete any reviews that say otherwise, Trust me and skip this one. It was conveniently located right off 15, and despite the meh weather, the place was easy to spot largely because there were a lot of cars in the parking lot - a compliment to the restaurant and its food, or the only game in town? Based on our experience, probably a little bit of both. Definitely does have the roadhouse vibes; it's very spacious and kind of dark in there, with a bar to the right of the entrance and the vast majority of the acreage dedicated to a large dining area on the left. We were seated immediately and after the meal took advantage of the cool map situation by the bathrooms where, if you requested a pushpin from one of the employees, you placed it on the map to show where you came from. Already oodles of NJ representatives on there, which is unsurprising. The random North Dakota pushpin was a bit of a shock, but I guess they travel too. The menu was pretty large but I was immediately drawn to the Fried Catfish w/ Hush Puppies entree, along with the tater skins app, which our waitress went out of her way to compliment. The Catfish was decent; as you can see from the accompanying picture, it was a huge portion and I took a sizeable chunk of it to go (where I think I eventually threw it out because it's not really road trip friendly). Coincidentally (or not, given where we were in the country) I'd had some hush puppies the night before at a hotel in Blacksburg, VA, and these were better. Those others were over-fried but also had mac and cheese stuffed in them, so these basically had better texture but not as much flavor. The mac and cheese was a real low point, unfortunately. Not dissimilar to the hush puppies, they were super tasteless and a bit watery. They had a bit of breading/crumb topping, but it really didn't do anything to improve the situation - definitely something for them to work on. The taters were just okay; usually the issue with them is that they're in the deep fryer for too long (which is not an issue for a lot of people, I suspect), but these I thought actually weren't cooked enough. The interiors were a little tough so the potatoes could have used a little more time in the oven or fryer. Service was solid. Our waitress was very nice and happily contributed her thoughts/opinions on different items of the menu, which my chum loves to seek out when we're in a new, unfamiliar place. I was starting to get a little tired by this point in the day so it was nice to have efficient, quick turnaround times for everything. The prices were decent as well, which probably isn't too surprising given that we were still pretty far away from Lexington and other, more populated areas. This was fine for what it is, and my preference is always to go local when you're traveling through small town USA in lieu of the chains. This wasn't incredible, but we enjoyed our time here and left a literal physical reminder of our time here with the aforementioned pushpin.
