Brisket, Mac n beans, sweet tater, pita and hummus, old fashioned.
    Scott W.

Got here at 345 on a Thursday to make sure we got outdoor seating. It wasn't nearly as packed as other reviews say. We got the curry hummus and pita chips. It was delicious. Had the old fashioned and honey bee for drinks. They were both great. For food we had the brisket with Mac n beans and sweet tater, hot chicken with broccoli salad and mac n cheese, and smoked wings. Literally everything was amazing. The brisket melted in our mouths, the hot chicken was perfectly seasoned and spicy, and the wings were tender and delicious. The original server we had was amazing, blonde woman, but a different server took over that wasn't as attentive (blonde but with several tattoos). All in all it's the best food in the gorge, by far the best bbq I've ever eaten, and I smoke a lot of food on my own. Gotta try it.

Went on a Saturday night in April. Place was packed! Wait was only 20 minutes for a table. They have lots of seating inside & outside (covered patio). They have a separate bar where you can grab a drink and wait. On a crowded night the bathroom line can get long (only 2 stalls). The appetizers: pork belly skewers & curry hummus with pita chips were both amazing. Lots of flavor. For dinner we had the ribs, pulled pork, & blackened catfish (all with 2 sides). Loved them all and they were large portions. The sides were also excellent. Really enjoyed the sweet potato and broccoli salad. Entrees were $16-$22 with two sides. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Once you overcome the challenge getting parked, this place is on point for a lot of food options, including if you have gluten allergies. My lady friend loved her pulled pork, and I enjoyed my blackened catfish, but it would have been hotter. But let's talk about the real star of the show, the mac and beans, with a little glaze drizzled on top. Call it a signature side or just call it yummy! Friendly, casual vibe and attentive service. Needs better parking options.

We had a large group for lunch at Redpoint BBQ on Mother's Day, 5/10/2026. This place was amazing!!! We were quickly seated outdoors and the service was fantastic! The servers brought us ice water and iced tea in carafes for the table. I ordered the southwest chicken salad..... I don't even have words for how delicious it was! The spicy ranch dressing was the best. We also had the curry hummus, shrimp and grits, brisket, pulled pork, Nashville chicken, ribs, mac and cheese, asparagus, coleslaw. The portions were big and EVERYTHING was delicious! I'm already planning another 2 1/2 hour trip to have that salad again! I wish I took pictures of all of the food. Excellent job, RedPoint BBQ! We will be back!

Some friends had recommended this place and we finally made it out to the gorge to try it. It definitely far exceeded my expectations. You don't often find a place like this in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. The food is amazing! Portion sizes are literally giant. We're pretty big eaters but could have totally shared a meal. Considering the size of the plates, it's a great deal too. I got the ribs. It was a full rack of ribs and I could eat about half. My husband got brisket and my parents got pulled pork. We all had different sides and they were all amazing. The ribs were my favorite, the pork was so tender and flavorful too. Brisket was good, but I would get the ribs again or the pork again next time. service was great too.

The folks at our campground recommended this BBQ place. SO glad they did! They said you turn down a gravel road and it looks like you're in the middle of nowhere. They were right! We got there a little after they opened (4:30 - they open at 4pm). You can sit anywhere you like so we sat outside on the patio and had a wonderful view. Staff here is very friendly and attentive. If you need anything you can grab any one of the servers nearby and they're happy to help. The food - outstanding! And HUGE portions! I had the pulled pork and mac n beans. There was so much pulled pork that I ate it for 2 more days! The mac and beans... I wasn't sure about the combo (mac n cheese and baked beans) but wow! Delicious! My husband had the brisket. I think it's the best brisket we had in a very long time. Again - big portions and we had plenty of left overs. Definitely make a stop here if you're in the Red River Gorge Area!

Brisket with deep fried loaded, baked potato. Smoked wings.

we decided to try this place after seeing it on someone's TikTok. It is off the beaten path but so worth it. We arrived on Saturday at noon when it open and by the time we left, it was packed. Even though it was hot, we still enjoyed the back patio, looking out towards the wooded area We had an amazing waitress and staff. And the food was delicious. We had smoked brisket and their barbecue sauce was amazing. We also got the side of a deep fried loaded, baked potato, which was crunchy on the outside and soft potato in the center. We also shared some spoke wings with dill ranch dressing. I wish I could take a bottle of the barbecue sauce and ranch dressing home. Definitely recommend this place and will be going back again.

This Place is exceptional!!! Food & drink all the way to service !!! We enjoyed this place so much we came back 2 nights in a row!!! We started off with 2 expresso Martinis which were delicious and made with real shots of expresso! My favorite dish was the Blackened Catfish, cooked to perfection and finished with an herbed butter. My favorite sides were the baked sweet potatoes finished with butter & cinnamon alongside the balsamic drizzled squash !!!! Soooo yummy. The house salad is very tasty as well comes with Avocado and my dressing of choice was the spicy ranch !! Very tasty & highly recommend! My date got chicken tenders the 1st night with Mac n chz & baked beans and Apricot chicken the second night ... I did not try the sides but the apricot chicken was very good fried fresh and crunchy on the outside juicy in the middle! Lastly, the service we received from DANA was outstanding... very tentative to our every need and one of the sweetest people I've ever met !! ABSOLUTELY LOVED her energy !!

Pulled pork, Mac & cheese, corn grits bread, pickled veggies, savory herb butter spread

What a great find on our weekend away!! Friendly service and tasty food, though be warned that this area doesn't serve alcohol on Sundays, which was a bummer to find out because the cocktail list looked delicious! For meats, we had the pulled pork (a little on the dry side but overall fine) and brisket (the peppercorn bark was so flavorful and the brisket was tender and juicy, no bbq sauce required!). For sides, we shared the balsamic summer squash, corn grits bread, baked beans, Mac & cheese, and baked potato. I thought this Mac & cheese was some of the best I've had as a BBQ side, a nice sharp taste and didn't give Velveeta-vibes like many others I've had elsewhere. The baked beans definitely aren't your typical "bush's" style, we enjoyed them! And the bacon was actually slightly crispy, always a positive point from me. The corn grits bread was a welcomed change from the standard corn bread, although we were curious how this would've tasted with a sweet butter or honey instead of the savory chive butter spread.

Another great service! We really go out of our way just to eat here. I can't stress enough...order the Beignets. I don't even like blackberries but their blackberry sauce is amazing! Service was quick and friendly. Our food was hot and tasty. The smoke ring on the brisket was *chefs kiss*. The "baked beans" aren't the best and are more like soup beans. The Mac and cheese is your basic cafeteria side dish that needs some work as well. Again, I had to deduct a star because they have a heavy bug problem. Between the ants crawling everywhere and flies swarming your face and food it gets annoying and becomes unenjoyable.

Loaded fried baked potato with grilled yellow squash and a plate full of fall off the bone baby rack ribs!

We will never waste our money here again. Service was awful, appetizer burned, both duck and steak were overcooked. My meal was supposed to come with asparagus that was no where to found. When I inquired about the side, I was told that the asparagus was ground up in the half dollar size polenta cake. SERIOUSLY?? Duck portion was less than 4 ounces (mostly fat). . $45 for a tiny filet. These folks are trying to play at being a real restaurant when all they're really doing is robbing people blind with sub par food and service. One person covering 5 (yes, 5 WHOLE tables). Even on an incredibly slow night service was awful. I don't know about anybody else out there, but I don't have $200 to throw away on BS restaurants. Especially disappointing on your anniversary. Let we not forget the wines, no brands listed, that tasted like watered down crap. Go to Carsons, Corto Limo or Guiseppes for amazing food and service. Guess I should have ordered the hamburger. Live and learn.

We entered through the alley (there's a sign by the fence directing you where to go). We waited in line as the lounge could only be reached by an elevator. The employee was counting those getting off the elevator to ensure capacity was not reached. We waited roughly 15-20 minutes to enter. We arrived at the top floor, stepped off the elevator, and were immediately impressed. This was unlike any spot I've seen in Huntington. It had an upscale vibe (loved the decor), but drinks were reasonable. A Corona was $4, and a specialty cocktail was $10. And we hit the jackpot as we found two seats on the patio along the outside (with a great view). My only complaint was the wait time to order a drink at the bar. We waited roughly 15-20 minutes and were standing at the bar the entire time. It may be a good idea to hire an additional bartender on the weekend. It was conveniently located right off 15, and despite the meh weather, the place was easy to spot largely because there were a lot of cars in the parking lot - a compliment to the restaurant and its food, or the only game in town? Based on our experience, probably a little bit of both. Definitely does have the roadhouse vibes; it's very spacious and kind of dark in there, with a bar to the right of the entrance and the vast majority of the acreage dedicated to a large dining area on the left. We were seated immediately and after the meal took advantage of the cool map situation by the bathrooms where, if you requested a pushpin from one of the employees, you placed it on the map to show where you came from. Already oodles of NJ representatives on there, which is unsurprising. The random North Dakota pushpin was a bit of a shock, but I guess they travel too. The menu was pretty large but I was immediately drawn to the Fried Catfish w/ Hush Puppies entree, along with the tater skins app, which our waitress went out of her way to compliment. The Catfish was decent; as you can see from the accompanying picture, it was a huge portion and I took a sizeable chunk of it to go (where I think I eventually threw it out because it's not really road trip friendly). Coincidentally (or not, given where we were in the country) I'd had some hush puppies the night before at a hotel in Blacksburg, VA, and these were better. Those others were over-fried but also had mac and cheese stuffed in them, so these basically had better texture but not as much flavor. The mac and cheese was a real low point, unfortunately. Not dissimilar to the hush puppies, they were super tasteless and a bit watery. They had a bit of breading/crumb topping, but it really didn't do anything to improve the situation - definitely something for them to work on. The taters were just okay; usually the issue with them is that they're in the deep fryer for too long (which is not an issue for a lot of people, I suspect), but these I thought actually weren't cooked enough. The interiors were a little tough so the potatoes could have used a little more time in the oven or fryer. Service was solid. Our waitress was very nice and happily contributed her thoughts/opinions on different items of the menu, which my chum loves to seek out when we're in a new, unfamiliar place. I was starting to get a little tired by this point in the day so it was nice to have efficient, quick turnaround times for everything. The prices were decent as well, which probably isn't too surprising given that we were still pretty far away from Lexington and other, more populated areas. This was fine for what it is, and my preference is always to go local when you're traveling through small town USA in lieu of the chains. This wasn't incredible, but we enjoyed our time here and left a literal physical reminder of our time here with the aforementioned pushpin.
