A hidden gem on the Main Street of (old) downtown Yuma. This place has always seemed interesting and we were finally able to try it out on a Friday afternoon. The bartenders were very friendly. It is cash only but there is an ATM inside. They offer seats at the bar, around the pool tables, outback and upstairs. We really enjoyed the digital jukebox (just download the app and select your songs for a small fee). Definitely a place to go! read more

Sitting next door to lutes casino in downtown Yuma, this hole in the wall bar is also like a step back in time. The entrance is two steps down and into a heavy door that leads you into a tiny bar that feels like a cave. One small bar top with winding stairs up to a tiny second story overlook makes up the whole inside space. Decor feels very Viking. Service was fast and kind. Cash only. Not much tap (Coors, bud, and bud light), mostly just cans and bottles. Would definitely visit again as service was great and it's a whole vibe. read more

Except for the working A/C, this bar failed on every count. Yes, I know it's considered a "dive bar", but the beer selection and knowledge of the bartender was seriously lacking. My buddy ordered a gimlet, and the bartender didn't know what that was. It didn't matter, because they didn't have simple syrup, or even know what simple syrup was. The bartender was sweet and nice enough. My gin and tonic ended up being gin and soda water, and so weak, we had to order extra shots to bring them up to expectation . . . so two substandard drinks ended up costing over $30. Got out of there and went next door where the drinks were great, the house was very friendly, and a staff that hustled to make sure everything was perfect. "Dive bar" can certainly be done better. read more

Nice atmosphere inside but limited seating. The pool table could be updated but the jukebox is full with wide variety of music and easy to use. Plenty of seating outside but no one will come out to serve you. Bar tender was a woman with a fun attitude. read more

Nice little dive bar in Yuma. Drinks weren't very expensive. Wish they took card as well but it's a cash only bar.

Was fine during the late day. No problems, great bartender. She switches out the a 20 somethin' attitudue. She was okay for the first hour. I noticed they do "Long Islands for $3" Im like okay, probably pre-made, but $3 whatever. They shut down Apple Bees so... W/E. So this young woman on 5/31 evening ( And I understand the state of the country very well, but this is still happening, and, no, im not letting it go.) Tells me to pay for a drink twice. Ive gone though my funds ( It's an adamant cash bar) and discovered I dont actually owe her anything. Now... Im a man of getting fucked and being fucked in both the best an worst ways. Yes, Im still alive and my mentality is pretty okay comparetively speaking. Arizona put on a state curfew at 8pm. The employees specified that they would "play dumb" to the order and stay open. As a patron, i couldnt careless. I'm there to drink. Then this 20 something bartender decides to go postal on the white guy at the bar. Over a $3 drink special. (well, hes white, and racism, and well, what the hell, win off it). Well, my Grandpa used to own a strip mall, my uncle runs cement here, my cousin is a cop in the city, my other brother runs Spectrum, one brother apparently part of a gang, An uncle that runs a construction company,and a lot more, like.... you wanted a "yeehaww from a drunk crowd over me questioning the $3 drink you were trying to fuck me on"? You need a couple of months in your car to really understand what your parents refused to teach you. read more

Red's is a dive bar with a lot of character. It's got an old-timey feel with a little bit of attitude. As you as you walk in, you'll see what I mean. It starts off narrow but opens up and has decent space including a nice patio. I'd say it's not a bad bar to meet people at when it's a busy night. From the couple times I've been there, I believe busy night is Friday/Sat night. They run daily specials and if you're lucky they have both beer and drink specials. The beer selection is alright, I didn't see what they had on draft but the bottles pretty standard, most lagers with maybe an ale or two. They have a pool table, jukebox and a second floor that's cool. The service is nice and pretty quick. All the bartenders seem to be happy doing the job. Oh yeah, and drinks are affordable which should be a staple of a good dive. Overall I think it's one of the better bars downtown to meet people, especially with the narrow space if it's a busy night. read more

Reds hits the dive bar qualities in all the right ways. Not too sticky, not too clean, cheap drinks, and good people. Great place to grab drinks after a long day of running and gunning. Oh, Reds is historically significant too. So that's a plus. read more

Like every other bar in a town this small it's all about who you know. If you're a stranger from out of town don't expect prompt service or service with a welcoming attitude for that matter. Bartenders are either young women trying to improve their social status or women who simply don't want to be there and can't wait to close and go home. It's a tiny place and you can't even get to the bathroom without rubbing up against people who can be as rude as the servers. A pool table now rendered useless by COVID bullshit crowds the only space in the place forcing people to congregate along the walls. Reds is a hard pass. read more

This place is a dive bar. The beer selection is just OK, drinks are just OK and service is just OK. Which is why I go here as much as I can. Not a fancy bar, not for fancy people. The jukebox sounds great, and I love blowing off steam on the second level. Not to mention wall of beautiful women. If you need to be pampered, go to the ultra lounge. This bar has an old-school Western dive-bar feel. It's skinny and narrow and long and it actually has a upper level that when it's really busy people stand and have drinks up there, which is pretty cool.You have to walk down a flight of stairs to get into it again as a dungeon like feel. Got a nice looking pool table in the jukebox people seem to enjoy those. It is not the newest or cleanest place you ever going to be but it certainly has a charm if you want to stop in for a couple of drinks. On the weekend it's a great mix of people. The patio outback is fantastic and large and when the weather is nice is quite busy. Bathrooms are not the cleanest bathrooms you've ever been in. read more

First off, you can't be choosy with Yuma's nightlife. I mean really there is none compared to my hometown of San Diego. I think one reason people come into this bar is for the pool table and cheap drinks but I'm really not sure. This place is a DUMP, it's tiny and possibly has the worse female bartender in the world!! She is the biggest b**** ever and if she wasn't behind that bar I'd probably would have ripped her head off! I had a vodka tonic which tasted like water and service was horrible. She only tended to the locals which all sat to the left side of the bar. The other side were out of towners who she cared less about, which btw was 80% of the bar. I waited 15 minutes and still no service so I finally flagged her down and gave her my order. After she prepared my drinks, she had the nerve to scold me as to not flag her down and she was no longer going to take drink orders from me. I understand she was the only person tending bar that night but the place wasn't even busy. The guy next to me commented on her behavior and I responded stating she wasn't going to get a tip. Oh she's so busy tending the bar but she had enough time to eaves drop on my conversation?? Dumba**! After hearing my remark, she tells me after I finished my drink I needed to leave. Really? I'm so peeved with the service I've received from this place, I'd not only would NOT recommend this place, I give it ZERO stars, I'd WARN anybody and everybody to stay away as far as they can!! Don't waste your time and money at this bar. I'll be calling the owner/manager after this review and hopefully they'll get rid of the grouch they call a bartender!!! Unfortunately, yelp does not let you write a review unless you give it a rate so I will give it the minimum of ONE star! But in reality it doesn't even deserve that!! read more

If this is the same Bird Cage from around 1975-1976, it was outstanding. Went to Yuma a few times on deployment with the USMC air wing.
