He took the time to ask what I enjoy, shared his knowledge of different brands, wrappers, and blends, and introduced me to several underrated cigars I probably would have overlooked. You can tell he genuinely loves cigars and enjoys helping others discover something new. So, just ask him to recommend a stick if you're feeling like trying something new or not sure what would hit the spot. With his recommendations, I ended up taking home a few My Father, Oliva Serie V Melanio, and Arturo Fuente cigars. It wasn't a sales pitch--it was just a great conversation between cigar enthusiasts. Unfortunately, I was traveling through and couldn't stay to enjoy a cigar in the lounge, but that's definitely on my list next time. It was just me this visit, but the next time I'm in the area I'll be calling a few friends to meet me here so we can relax, enjoy a few great cigars, and spend some quality time together. If you're anywhere near Yuma and appreciate premium cigars and knowledgeable service, Sun of a Gun Cigars is absolutely worth the stop. The interior is inviting and the chairs are very comfortable. Like maybe they were pushing for to many seatings in to little time. I don't recall exactly how it happened, but my wife tried to express our frustration to the owner and they laughed at us. Maybe it was just nervous laughter because they didn't know how to deal with a critique, but it was certainly off putting to me. We have not been there in a very long time. We spent a lot of money there in th epast. It used to be one of our favored business lunch and recruiting dinner spots, but then it wasn't, and it "wasn't" more than once or twice. I see people post positive things about them so maybe it was just us they didn't like. I don't know. We quit going there. Ambiance (back then) **** Service ** Food ** I have to say at least they never served us any rotten food or tried to convince me a strip was a ribeye. I can't say that about every other restaurant I've ever eaten at in Yuma. Honestly? I hope our bad experiences were the exception, and I hope they are doing well. One star ONLY because yelp says i have too. Kress lounge is a JOKE but unfortunately it's the only place to go DANCE. Also beware of the 6'2 mid life crisis over the hill ol hulk lookin jolly green Giant looking fee fii foo having security lady at the entrance sometimes be stomping around the dance floor looking for her bean stalk not giving a hoot who she runs over , she is rude and over privileged under paid rent a cop who needs to go volunteer some where, also let's not forget someone done brought there mother to the club and forgot her at the bathroom entrance Kress went and gave her a security shirt now this lady wants to run her ol wrinkly crusty lips at everyone she can , you can tell she's been working the bathroom too long . Let's not forget about the male security gaurds all tattooed acting hard and " intimidating " bunch of PAINT JOBS ain't scaring anyone. You know I had my reservations before the Kress reopened this year. However now I can say this place blows away the other watering holes around here. I love the atmosphere of the rooftop, it is the only place like it in Yuma. The bands are usually good, mostly out of town stuff, the last one I remember was The Skatalites, so they differently book real names. The bartenders know how to make whatever I ask for and all the staff I've seen has been friendly. They can get busy on the weekends, but the wait for drinks isn't that bad. Horrible service in the bathroom. Don't anyone need to be asking for tips. First of all I ain't tipping you for pointing me in the direction of an opened bathroom stall, I can do it myself. Second, you don't ask for tips, and third, how you gonna tell me the lotion if for tips only? There's no damn sign saying I gotta pay for the lotion so how am I even supposed to know? My friend was sober and slipped on some liquid on the floor. He injured his knee and couldn't get up. Security dragged him down the elevator and left him in the alley. He was crying saying that he wasn't drunk and he slipped and was in a lot of pain. They said it wasn't their problem and that it was his fault he wasn't watching where he was dancing. Fuck them.
