Likely not good for those who stick to 100% gf places, but for those who don't, Red's Diner Ramsay (1101 8St SE, Calgary, AB, Canada) just created a delicious gf breakfast. And their bread comes from Earths Oven! So yummy. Lastly, the server was glorious. Great experience all around.

Food is usually great and they always accommodate my and my husband's tweaks to our order. Service is normally excellent. We rate other restaurants based on what we're used to at Reds. It's usually a little on the louder side as it's a happening place so if you're looking for white glove service and hush hush ambiance find some else. Personally I love the energy and the ambiance!

Came here for Sunday brunch and I'm very glad we called ahead! The wait was out the door and 40 min+ when we arrived. There are many breakfast and lunch options on the menu, including gluten free and vegan options if you require! I ordered the caprese benny. The combination of the tomato basil hollandaise sauce and the balsalmic reduction was perfect. Perfectly cooked soft potatoes. Great service despite how busy it was. Our server was attentive and refilled our drinks before we even thought to ask.

This is the spot! I enjoyed the featured breakfast the eggs benny, with smoked ham & hash browns. Food tasted real good! Some cool chicks work here! Very friendly staff. First latte I had was okay, second one was really good. Yes, it was one of those mornings where I needed 2. Great yelp find. Highly recommend this place.

I'm always scared it's going to be overcooked, because at many restaurants the fish usually is, but this was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. The bed of veggies underneath had a really nice, subtle flavor that complemented the fish without overpowering it. I also ordered their banana cocktail, which honestly surprised me. I didn't think I would ever like banana in a cocktail, but it was absolute heaven. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. One of those drinks you think about ordering again halfway through. For food, I also had the braised short ribs, and they were excellent. Super tender, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of those comforting dishes that still feels elevated and well executed. The decor deserves its own mention. The space is warm, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, and there's an actual live tree inside the restaurant, which is such a cool touch. You can already tell this place must be incredible in the summer when everything is open and lively. Overall, Porch delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere. Easily a spot I'd come back to, whether for dinner, drinks, or a special night out.

We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

My friends and I got and shared the Katsu udon, classic gyu don, and karaage curry. Every single dish was a banger; I especially loved the gyu don with perfectly seasoned beef and the rice soaking up the sauce. I liked that each dish came with a couple side dishes like tofu, tempura egg, or miso soup. Everything was priced around $18-23. The service was also very friendly; we raved about how delicious the food was, and our server seemed delighted to hear that. So here's your chance to go try the food out and tell her the same thing!

They offer two fresh soups every day which are clearly not canned and made from scratch. They also offer a different special every day of the week that can be supplemented with a salad or a small soup. These specials range from clubhouse sandwiches, to spring roll on vermicelli, to mac n' cheese (scratch made). One of my go-to places for lunches and as a soup connoisseur they are able to beat out most places by providing homemade soups instead of the typical generic Campbell's stuff you find in most delis. One thing I would like is for them to switch up and try their hand at making other soups because I have been here so many times the soups are getting slightly old (but still tastier and better value than Sunterra) TLDR: Soups good, specials can be good, sandwiches fresh, salad available.

Plants grow on every available wall and window. The server was very helpful and walked us through the menu options. We'd never had Venezuelan food do this was new to us. I had the chorizo arepa and it was amazing, so full of flavor. Although served as street food, they were so big that we all decided to use knife and fork to eat them. We were full after this so we decided to take some desserts home for later. The chocolate cake was excellent but the real star was the tres leches. This places charges 70 percent more that virtually every other restaurant in the same area, all facing the same overhead. Every last one is $2.90 or less. Heaven is not even remotely competitive.
