Asked owner to give me an estimate to replace a side view mirror assembly. He needed to get a price on it and promised to call me with the quote. I had barely returned home and was called with his quote. WOW! That was fast. The quote was significantly less than another repair facility. We tentatively set up an appointment for the end of the week. (See my Tip) Asked owner to quote additional work and had his quote in less than 5 minutes. Set appointment for next week.. Following his inspection he informed me that I did not need parts and service that another facility said I needed. According to his quote for the work, comparing the same items to another auto service facility's quote, I will be saving almost 1/4 of the price plus approximately $200 on the parts and labor I did not need! Well satisfied with the responsiveness, professionalism and honesty of the owner, as well as, the work performed. Especially noteworthy are the prices - SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than the "chain" shops. This business is the real deal. If you need work, get a quote here and give it a try. Betcha you'll be glad you did.

Just the facts... Took vehicle in for dragging rear brakes…read more Diagnosis was need all new brakes. $1200. High, but OK, do it. Got it back, and brakes still dragging. Apparently needs new calipers. Another $800. No choice - do it. Caliper bolts not torqued properly. One fell out on the I-90 off ramp. Bang, bang, bang. Scary. They fixed it, but that was overall an expensive job to have it end in a brake failure. 1 star. They were courteous and did eventually fix the brakes. ...but I can't recommend, and will never go back to Marks.

After…read moretwo misdiagnoses They replaced the engine. there was a fire under the hood three days after the car was picked up. This was caused by a short circuit in the alternator plug. First, my son was told the alternator bearings were bad and the heat had caused the fire. When we ran the car with no heat or vibration on the alternator we were told that the bearings were bad when they checked it. The discussion ended with the proprietor telling us that if we did not have 100% proof that the plug was damaged in his shop that he was under no obligation to work with us on the alternator replacement. After showing the car to another auto tech we were told that we had been overcharged for the engine replacement by about $1500.

Followed by the computer screen getting hot as FIRE and GLITCHED and could not be used for three days. Took it back to the service department and after being there for about a week, they found NOTHING wrong with it!! Then another week or two goes by and the LEMON starts jumping down the road. Take it back in and there were three plugs that were bad AND the ignition coil was also out and this all occurred within in a two month period of time. The vehicle spent a total of 30 days in the service department, and I felt that they owed us a car payment since they had it for month!!! So at this point, Andrew, the owner's son tells us "don't worry, if anything else goes wrong we'll put you into another vehicle". Well the last week of April 2026 the car started randomly turning off at red lights,and a message would pop up telling you to put the car in park and restart it, like seriously?¿!¡ This ALL occurred in approximately a two and a half month period. Well I spoke to Andrew, whom by the way is the owner's Son. He said he had never heard anything like the last issue but said don't worry, if anything else occurs he'd get us into another vehicle. Well my husband and I figured that they'd find something similar and get us into it. Not exactly true!! They had a 2019 (year older than the they sold us), granted it had 25K miles on it but the we have is a year newer with 50K miles and here's the kicker, they were trying to say that the MSRP is 29,000, so for 10 grand more, ya they'd get us into something else. What an absolute joke. So here we sit with a humongous and there's not a damned thing we can do about it!!! THANKS A LOT FREEPORT FORD!!!! Buyer beware when purchasing a used car from them and do yourself a favor, read all the negative reviews from different review sites. Trust me you'll be glad that you didn't buy a lemon from there and bought a vehicle from a more reputable dealership and didn't get a JUNKER from FREEPORT FORD!!!!!
