We dropped off the car in the morning and they called us around two o'clock to tell us it was ready. I had forgotten to tell them I needed a tire plugged. When we got there they hadn't finished the plugging work because the guy I talked to on the phone was out to lunch. But the man we talked to said no problem he would do it for us. Fifteen minutes later I have a plugged tire and he DID NOT CHARGE me. Excellent, very excellent. All-in-all our tire expenditures were around $105. Not bad. Not bad at all. I will definitely be bringing my car here in the future. I would have been hesitant to come if it had not been recommended here by a trusted friend. It doesn't look like much on the outside but don't be fooled or judge too quickly. You will surely have quality work.

First, my son was told the alternator bearings were bad and the heat had caused the fire. When we ran the car with no heat or vibration on the alternator we were told that the bearings were bad when they checked it. The discussion ended with the proprietor telling us that if we did not have 100% proof that the plug was damaged in his shop that he was under no obligation to work with us on the alternator replacement. After showing the car to another auto tech we were told that we had been overcharged for the engine replacement by about $1500.

I've given Wick…read moreAutomotive a couple of chances, after spending $8200.00 to have the engine re-sealed on my Cadillac Deville, with a Northstar V-8. There is a permanent fix to the dreaded Northstar leaking problem. Wick is one of the few shops in the Tri-State area, that does that work. So, on February 18, 2026, I drove 90 miles to have them do the work. They also replaced the coolant pump. When I picked up the car on April 23, 2026, (More than 2 months in the shop), the check engine light was on. The check engine light was NOT on when I brought the car in. They replaced an Oxygen sensor (add $62.00 to the bill). It didn't fix the car. (Nor, did they refund the $62.00). After driving 90 miles back home, I got a low coolant message on the dash. the coolant level had dropped. I called Jason, & was told that it was probably an "Air Pocket" in the cooling system, & to add coolant. I'm sorry, but after spending $8200.00, HOW IS THIS "My problem"??? You don't release the car until it's RIGHT!!! I brought the car back on August 12, 2026 because it was misfiring badly. The spark plug wells had filled with oil, causing the ignition coils to short to ground, (essentially killing the spark). The spark plug well seals were NOT replaced, which is part of replacing the valve cover gaskets part of the $8200.00 job they were paid to do! They told me I needed new ignition coils, & said my valve covers were "warped". They also replaced the coolant pump, a second time, because they said it was leaking. At this point, I'd had enough. My ignition coils are brand new. This is the part, where I divulge the fact that I'm a retired Cadillac technician, & can tell they're blowing smoke up my *ss! They said they'll fix it "JUST THIS ONE TIME"! (Only fair, since they didn't fix it the first time!!!!) To add insult to injury, the mechanic wanted to charge me $20 for gas (Road testing). I was 3 months without my car, & the gas I burned driving back & forth for a COMEBACK that never should've happened, is a LOT more than $20!!!! I gave them a couple of opportunities to make this right. The final "nail in the coffin" I picked up the car, & there was a gash in my leather heated steering wheel, & grease on the inside A-pillar!! this car has been kept meticulously clean, I is my pride & joy. They chose the "LOW road" & basically asked me to "Not come back", saying there are other TECHNET shops, much closer to me. Well gentlemen, I WON'T be back! A shop has to be pretty bad, to earn a bad review from me. I would recommend avoiding Wick Automotive. To wick Automotive, as a technician myself, I can only say: "Integrity is the one thing, that NOBODY can take from you". (You have to GIVE that away!).
