Learn all about it with this short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2W2b1WBmm4 Each Black N Bluegrass event is a double header, starting with an hour-long bout featuring their B-Team, The Shiners. Following intermission is an hour-long main bout with the A-Team, The Blackouts. The league battles other roller derby teams regionally and has garnered a large following since their origin in 2006. As a season pass holder, I've been an avid fan of Black-N-Bluegrass since the very beginning. It has been a pleasure to see this team evolve and improve. My favorite night was when they beat an opponent with a 300-point lead. Now that's action packed roller derby! My favorite seat is floor side in the Suicide Seating. Being right up against the out-of-bounds line puts you directly in the action, and may cause a Rollergirl to end up in your lap sometime during the evening. My favorite derby girls are Shaken-n-Stirred, Scary Garcia, Rosie The Riv-Hit-Her, Bertha Knuckles, TANK, and Skinnie Minnie (who is neither skinny or mini.) All of the ladies are fabulous with tactics unique to each player. After the game, fans are welcome to get autographs and pictures with the team, as well as high-fiving the Rollergirls on their introductory and victory laps. They may bring a brutal game, but Black-N-Bluegrass genuinely adore their fans. Game Duration: 4 hours Tickets: $10-$13 Free parking Roller Derby season is from April - September in Florence, Kentucky.

They offer themed merchandise tied to each production, which is such a fun touch for fans. There are also plenty of concessions available, including snacks and alcoholic beverages. I had a glass of wine (a double pour, and surprisingly affordable), along with popcorn and chocolate-covered raisins. The popcorn wasn't the freshest, but it was still yummy. The venue feels very safe, with bag checks and scanners at the entrance. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The theater itself has excellent acoustics and a large stage. There is always something exciting on the schedule, and ticket prices are usually reasonable. It's a great option for a family outing, date night, girls' night, or even a solo treat. Doors open about an hour before showtime, with access to the theater seating available 30 minutes prior.

I'm happy to see that it has been kept up so well over the years, it's beautiful! It was an A+ visit from start to finish. Ordering and accessing digital tickets was a breeze, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the show was outstanding! We have a fantastic arts center in Dayton that we have broadway season's tickets to and attend other performing arts shows as well, but we will definitely be back to see shows at the Aronoff from time to time now that we had such a fantastic evening out!

Reading and sensory rooms, nursing room, playground, family restrooms, and batting cages with t-ball stands. This is near the swings and couches that overlook the river and skyline. On a lower level, there is a mini ball field where they will pitch to kids 12 and under. Kids can also try to catch/field the balls from the outfield. We went on the 1-2-3 game night with $1 ice cream sundae cups, $2 hot dogs, and $3 cans of beer. Great deals, with the ice cream and cans of beer totally worth it. All five of us got a hot dog and four of us didn't finish it because they weren't cooked through and inedible. They were very thick hot dogs as well...not an appetizing combo. Not many standing areas for eating/watching or self-serve areas for doctoring up your food. It was a bit of a maze finding our seats and you can't walk all the way around the field. Once we did find our seats, the view of the field was amazing from an upper section on the 1st baseline.

Growing up a NY sports fan it is so hard and frustrating unless you are loaded to even get a good seat, or attend training. This is right next to the stadium!! Bring your camera! Bring a sharpie and something to have signed because it may be a great chance to get an autograph. You're allowed to bring sealed water, which is a must for those hot August afternoons. There are limited bleacher spots, first come first serve, otherwise it's standing along the barriers (which is better for photo ops). Small pro shop if you've forgotten something to have signed.

Other then that it was a wonderful experience and I really hope training camp stays up here and a few amenities are added. This is the first year. Oh and I never really mention just how close you get to the players. They are right there and to give u An idea it's about as close as an NFL ref. This place is great for kids (bring one down for the autographs, players tend to sign their pennants over adults) it has a family friendly atmosphere they can watch their favorite players and perchance to meet them. The store was rather sparse 3 types of t shirts a few hats Most of the stuff for players to sign pennants, pictures etc. They sell sharpies down there for 2$ in case you forget yours.
