Outstanding time at the Reds game. Game stadium and game team. Time to win the World Series!!!!

Sports Illustrated cover during the 1976 World Series.

The Cincinnati Reds are one of the best teams in baseball. Maybe not Yankees best or even Cardinals-Athletics-Red Sox-Giants best, but they're up there. The Reds have won more World Series championships (5) than 22 of the 30 active teams in Major League Baseball today. Also, the Reds consistently win. In both the regular season and postseason, Cincinnati is a top-10 all-time winningest team in MLB. The Reds have been winning for a long time too, since 1882. Only the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs have played longer in MLB (since 1876 for each). And unlike my favorite team, the Braves, the Reds organization has never moved. They've always been in Cincy. If I was rating this team on Yelp in the late 70s, I would've given them five stars. In a seven year span, from 1970 through 1976, the Reds advanced to the World Series four times, winning back-to-back titles in 1975 and 1976. The two biggest names in "The Big Red Machine" were the infamous Pete Rose and 14-time All-Star Johnny Bench. Both Rose and Bench started their MLB careers in Cincinnati. Both won the National League Rookie of the Year award - Rose in 1963 and Bench, five years later, in 1968 - and both won multiple MVP awards. Rose was the NL MVP in 1973 and the World Series MVP in 1975. Bench won the NL MVP award twice, in 1970 and 1972, and was the World Series MVP in 1976. Bench was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Rose was banned. Since the consecutive World Series wins in '75 and '76, Reds playoff appearances have been few and far between. Those appearances have been highlighted by the 1990 championship team which went wire-to-wire 1st place in the NL West division and 8-2 in the postseason. That World Series was a 4-0 sweep of the Oakland Athletics. The A's had just come off a sweep themselves, a 4-0 win over the Red Sox in the NLCS. 1990 was really a spectacular one-off-type year for Cincinnati. Shortstop Barry Larkin was on that 1990 title-winning team and is one of only two Reds players to have won the NL MVP award (1995) since left fielder George Foster won it in 1977. The other is current Reds first baseman and veteran Joey Votto who won it in 2010. To date, both Larkin and Votto have spent their entire MLB careers with Cincinnati. As a Braves fan, I have to point out that the year Larkin won MVP was the same year that the Braves swept the Reds, 4-0, in the NLCS. Atlanta would go on to win the '95 World Series. Also, the last time the Reds appeared in the postseason - the 2020 NL Wild Card Series - they lost to the Braves too, a 2-0 series sweep.

This was a great ball park to visit! Very friendly staff. And we took advantage of the GREAT meal package that they offered... 5 hotdogs Unlimited popcorn, peanuts, chips and soda $25.... Yes you read that right! Total deal! I love that families can actually afford to go eat and drink and watch Americas greatest game!

Came from Canada to attend the July 6, 2024 game versus Detroit. This was our second time coming to Cincinnati to watch baseball as we had come in 2016 as well. Both experiences were wonderful. Stadium is amazing. The food is great. The people that work there are some of the nicest people that I've ever seen at ballpark the crowd was lively and the game was entertaining, even though we lost I will return to the great American ballpark many times in the future, as it has shown me its first class

Recently attended the fireworks and Reds vs Angels game 4/19. Great overall customer service. The Reds also announced a Tuesday $3-$2-$1 nights on their concessions. Go Reds!

Beautiful night for a baseball game.

The Reds did a HORRIBLE job of letting me know in advance that backpacks are not permitted in GABP and that cash is not accepted.

I really enjoy visiting the Reds stadium even though I'm not a huge fan (don't know the detailed rules) of the game.

They offer themed merchandise tied to each production, which is such a fun touch for fans. There are also plenty of concessions available, including snacks and alcoholic beverages. I had a glass of wine (a double pour, and surprisingly affordable), along with popcorn and chocolate-covered raisins. The popcorn wasn't the freshest, but it was still yummy. The venue feels very safe, with bag checks and scanners at the entrance. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The theater itself has excellent acoustics and a large stage. There is always something exciting on the schedule, and ticket prices are usually reasonable. It's a great option for a family outing, date night, girls' night, or even a solo treat. We have a fantastic arts center in Dayton that we have broadway season's tickets to and attend other performing arts shows as well, but we will definitely be back to see shows at the Aronoff from time to time now that we had such a fantastic evening out!

Reading and sensory rooms, nursing room, playground, family restrooms, and batting cages with t-ball stands. This is near the swings and couches that overlook the river and skyline. On a lower level, there is a mini ball field where they will pitch to kids 12 and under. Kids can also try to catch/field the balls from the outfield. We went on the 1-2-3 game night with $1 ice cream sundae cups, $2 hot dogs, and $3 cans of beer. Great deals, with the ice cream and cans of beer totally worth it. All five of us got a hot dog and four of us didn't finish it because they weren't cooked through and inedible. They were very thick hot dogs as well...not an appetizing combo. Not many standing areas for eating/watching or self-serve areas for doctoring up your food. It was a bit of a maze finding our seats and you can't walk all the way around the field. Once we did find our seats, the view of the field was amazing from an upper section on the 1st baseline.
