If I could give 0 stars, I damn well would. This location and its managers are a JOKE. Went in to deposit a larger scale check and they accused us of fraud and forging the check. We provided the necessary documents for the check approval and they still profiled us and accused. Made comments about our age, appearance, and threatened to rip up the check and call the cops. I am appalled at how we were treated, and the way these 2 managers spoke. Male and female Hispanics. We decided to leave and go to the Santa Rosa location. They processed our check no problem and we shared our terrible experience in Windsor. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. They advised us to never go back to your location and that we weren't the first to have terrible experiences. I hope your managers learn a thing or two about managing and customer service etiquette, or better yet, fire them! Your establishment is DISGUSTING. read more

While Redwood Credit Union is a great wonderful local credit union, each location has its pros and cons. This particular location seems to have a middle of the road pro vs con scenario. While the staff is wonderful, the lines are usually atrocious and take awhile as every time I am there, there is only one teller or two at most. Another con is the slow technology integration, in terms of the outside ATM. Every other location seems to have the new ATM systems that are much more secure, but not a huge loss or annoyance. So while I continue to bank here as the CU is wonderful, this location just needs a few things to spruce it up. read more

In the year 2022, one hundred miles from cutting edge technology this institution might offer you an experience - of waiting seven days to release your funds (for a bank 750 miles away) and notify you by email, then an hour later send another email notifying you of a two day hold. Then if you should ask for some cash to make a purchase, they'll change their decision back to a seven day hold. A Mobile deposit may delay availability of funds ...now you know. WORD to the WISE - ASK BEFORE making a deposit and a WIRE TRANSFER if you need fast access. read more

By far the finest financial institution I have ever worked with -- and I used to be an Asst. VP for a major bank in SF. I currently live in Sonoma County and own to companies -- one is a corporation. We not only bank at RCU, but they handle our car loans, our mortgages, our equity lines, our credit cards and our business liability and workers compensation insurance. As a nonprofit, they are more concerned about the people they serve as WELL as the bottom line, not JUST the bottom line. I have found management to be very responsive, and the employees to be well trained and all about service. What a wonderful place!!! read more

Went to open an account today and as I thought the line was very long to get inside. There is a teller at the door opening it for every customer like most places. I waited very patiently, took more than 20 minutes. At no point did the teller ever ask anyone what their business was or what they needed! When I get inside they have 2 tellers and nobody at any of the usual desks were you can open an account. Not wanting to wait anyone I ask if I was to stand in the same line to open a new account to be told I needed an appointment! Unbelievable.... You would think the guy at the door would be talking to the customers and telling them things like this! Waste of time!!! I mean he's being paid to stand out there and open a door maybe they could do a better job telling people the protocol when you get inside! Definitely going elsewhere! read more

I heard Redwood was the place to go. Supposedly there business model is for you to have all of your banking business in one place! Sounds like a great idea except in order to do that someone has to call you back. I started moving my business over there but had a rude awakening. They really don't care about your business they just say that. I even have a friend that works there and told two yes two Mangers of my problem yet it's been almost two months and not one phone call! I waited this long in order to give them a chance because of Covid but now I have lost my patience. Don't move your business there and expect good service it's not gonna happen. Even if you know someone there it still doesn't seem to matter. Community First is a far better choice. read more

my wife & I wanted to open up CD accounts with very large sums, but wasnt treated professionally at all at his location. the wait times were unacceptable. plus the lady in front that does intake for customers - was engaged with another person on some conversation - useless. made us wait another 10mins in lobby while she continued personal conversation ... we went across to another bank and opened up accounts there, where the service was outstanding. Too bad - twice in a row, they lost my business. if you read others comments, seem very consistent. the management should be pro-active to improve experiences!! read more

I am in the process of closing all my accounts at RCU do to this location. Service is horrible. Specially from the tall female manager. I when in to renew a cd account and they took 30mins to figure out what happen to a join membership i had. After 30mins she told me that we had to open a new one but it was too late to do so because they were closing in 10 mins. She told me come back another day. Obviously she didn't care about the client. On another note. I applied for a mortgage. I was qualified in many other places do to great credit and amount of equity in my 1st home. They charged my $20 to run ny credit and they never called me to follow up. Unacceptable. At least finish the process and give me an answer. Lucky found a better bank and got an even better interest. I really liked RCU but again they are just not taking care of me so i will look for a better option. read more

Approved for $15k credit line within 5 minutes. Completed a balance transfer & deposit in less than 30 minutes. Lowest rates on car loans. Never have to wait more than 10 minutes to be helped in the branch. read more

I have been a member of RCU for many years with a great deal of money in savings and checking but today I withdrew everything I had and closed my accounts. I'm so tired of all their fees, charges and poor service. They want a fee for money orders, cashiers checks and copies of my account activity. These are provided for free from other banks, so that's where I took my money. Do your research and avoid this financial institution. read more

Love my bank! Who says that?? Customers of this branch for sure; true the parking sucks due to proximity to the hotel but the staff MORE than make up for any inconvenience. Please get over the parking and go inside - once you meet the staff you will be a loyal customer. read more

dont bank here, but i do come in every so often for check cashing purposes and gosh i wish i did bank here. in fact as soon as i quit my job at wells fargo i will..:) LOVE THE STAFF!!! I cannot visit this branch without leaving angry. Hands down the worst location, sharing a very small parking lot with a hotel AND a restaurant. The Mendocino Avenue location finally got smart and relocated to a different address, when they were experiencing the same issue. This location should do the same. Unless you have 10 minutes extra to drive in circles, waiting for somebody to leave, your time is better spent driving to one of the Santa Rosa locations. read more

I had had a negative experience at a different Redwood Credit Union branch and my wife decided to see for herself whether she might have a more useful relationship with them. She did not. She told the folks at reception of her interest to become a new customer and was told that there would be a wait of 10-15 minutes. After being ignored completely for 40 minutes, she decided that she apparently represented no value to this credit union...and she left. Individually, we have tried to do business with different branches, and have not been welcomed at all. Likely not a coincidence. We will seek alternative local credit union options. read more

This is an awesome credit union. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly. They are also great for helping younger adults setting up accounts for the first time. They take the time to really help the customer and make you feel valued. The parking is very tight but that is the only detractor at this otherwise fine example of a credit union. read more

I have used RCU for personal banking, business, credit, vehicle loans and so much more. The tellers and managers are always friendly and make you feel at home. They also give back to the community.
