***BUYER BEWARE*** This place was an absolute sham!! We were…read morelooking for a decent car for commuting and had been driving around all day checking out various cars and lots. We were sent to this lot in Oakdale by a sister location in Modesto. The cars at the sister lot seemed to be very nice, but we were looking for a smaller car. Found a Toyota Corolla that we liked, did a quick look over and a test drive. Seemed ok. I looked at the tires and noticed they looked to be almost bald, but the car seemed ok otherwise. The guy at the lot said they were fine and almost new. The Carfax showed two "minor" accidents, but they said title was clean and no frame damage. So we decided to go ahead with the purchase. They had the car listed quite a bit over blue book (photo included) and they did not apply our down payment to the sale price. We should have financed $1500 less than what they charged us. Didn't realize that until the next day. Here's where it begins-BUYETS REMORSE-The manager or owner of the lot stated they sell their cars at rock bottom prices and safety check each car they sell. BS Went to get in the car for work the next morning and it wouldn't start. Turned out the battery cables were barely on. Then we noticed the gaps and peeling paint on the front bumper. It was not aligned properly and has gaps under the headlights and the sides where it attaches to the fender. The fender wells are held in with various screws and bolts and not the clips that should hold it on. The front bumper is loose and rattling. The center piece right under the emblem is cracked and needs to be replaced. Took the car to my mechanic because the AC wasn't working and the car almost over heated. That cost me almost $400. The fan was not connected properly which caused the AC to not blow cold and over heated the car. Turns out nothing under the hood was connected right after it was "repaired" and "safety checked". Tire light came on the day after we bought it so I took it to Americas Tire to check my pressure on the tires-back two tires were completely bald and the front two were almost as bad so I had to replace all 4. That was almost $800. Whomever "fixed" the car didn't fix anything properly under the hood and the car place would have caught that had they TRULY safety inspected it. They did zero to that car except slap sale stickers on it. It wasn't even detailed. It was pretty dusty and windows were a mess. They were unwilling to negotiate on price, tires, nothing. This lot is shady at best and absolutely horrible. If I could give zero stars I would.

They sell vehicles that don't run properly in fact I bought a $7000 vehicle from them got 10 miles…read moredown the and it sounding funny but we still continue driving home well by halfway the car got worse so we stopped at a gas station smoke was coming out from the hood my husband opened it up and there was oil everywhere so he got a gallon of oil yeah gallon so we could make it home. We took it back they it never leaked a drop of oil when it was hear maybe take it in get the oil change and let us know what they say when took it in to get the oil change the man said your problem isn't the 1. It's got missing bolts from the valve coverand there's wrong bolts on the head. Plus it's leaking oil from both the head and valve cover. So we took the car to a mechanic to see if he could find a oil leak. He did and he said not only that he said that the engine had recently been worked on. We took to our local mechanic and he said he exact same thing. Oh I almost forgot after going back to the carlot and Chris not wanting to work with halfway home the brakes go out due to all the engine problems caused the brake line to melt. So in my opinion if shopping for a nice car it won't be at CJ's.
