My 2024 Kia Seltos has been experiencing an intermittent issue where the vehicle grinds and…read moreshudders while turning. This exact issue previously occurred and was resolved through a recall update, but it has now returned. Since the vehicle is still under warranty, I scheduled an early morning service appointment with Valley Kia. Near the end of the day, I received a call stating they "could not replicate the issue" and therefore could not proceed with repairs unless they kept the vehicle for several more days to continue driving it. After checking the Kia app, I discovered that only 5 miles had been put on my vehicle the entire day. In other words, despite having my car for hours with an early appointment, only about 10 minutes appears to have been spent attempting to diagnose the problem. My service advisor, Robert, was professional and advocated for me to receive a loaner vehicle so the dealership could continue evaluating the issue. That request was denied by management. I cannot realistically be without my vehicle for multiple days when so little effort was made to investigate the concern during the scheduled appointment. When I arrived to pick up my car, I spoke with the service manager, John, about my frustration. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, he responded in a dismissive and condescending manner, stating: "I just suppose you would rather us pay someone to drive your car around all day until we find a problem." I explained that my vehicle is under warranty and that I was concerned about continuing to drive a vehicle with a known issue until it potentially becomes a larger mechanical failure. His response was simply: "It's not on us if it's not under warranty." At that point, I informed him I would not be returning to this dealership for service, to which he replied, "That's fine by me." The only positive part of this experience was Robert, who treated me with professionalism and kindness throughout the interaction and even walked me to my car after seeing how upset I was. Any redeeming quality from this visit was because of him. I purchased my vehicle from Kia Country in Manteca and only came to Valley Kia because it was closer. Going forward, I will gladly make the longer drive to Kia Country, where customers are treated with respect and their concerns are taken seriously. I explained my situation and she immediately brought out Richie their best tech. He quickly got the truck to roll and they got right on the repair. Parts had to be ordered and they kept me advised continually. They went above, way above and beyond to get me back on my way. Richie drove the truck several miles to test out the repair. The following morning I was back on my way. Katrina called to make sure I made it home ok. If you are in Turlock you are very lucky to have a dealership like Turlock CDJR, they are customer centric. I brought my brand-new Toyota bZ to Toyota Modesto because I wanted to verify that the high-voltage…read morebattery was functioning properly. The vehicle is still covered by Toyota's factory warranty, and my only request was to have the battery evaluated to confirm that it was operating within Toyota's specifications. During my visit, I was informed that I would be charged a $200 diagnostic fee if no warrantable defect was found. I was told the fee would only be waived if a defect covered by the warranty was identified. As a customer, this was unexpected. My concern was not to obtain a free repair, but to ensure that a major component of a brand-new vehicle was functioning properly. I believe it is reasonable for customers to seek confirmation that a new vehicle is operating as designed without having to risk a diagnostic charge if no defect is ultimately found. The service staff treated me professionally and explained the dealership's policy. My concern is not with the employees, but with the policy itself and the customer experience it creates. I respectfully ask Toyota Modesto and Toyota Motor North America to review this practice and consider whether customers with legitimate warranty concerns on new vehicles should be required to assume the cost of diagnostics simply because the vehicle is ultimately found to be operating within specifications. A disappointing experience with Heritage Ford…read more I brought in my 2020 Ford Escape for an oil change and a repair of my power liftgate button. I also had an issue with the Ford Pass app; it was showing that my car was in battery saver/sleep mode. At the counter, I was told there was also a recall that they would handle. When explaining the app issue, the workers at the counter rudely told me "I have no idea what that is, just call them." So much for the $295 diagnostic fee! After "working" on the car all day, I picked up the car and was told to bring it back once they got the parts in. I brought it back in the morning two days later. They called saying the button was fixed. As soon as I sat in the car to drive out of the lot, I noticed the check engine light was on. How weird, I came in for an issue with the trunk...but the check engine light is on now? I bring the keys back to the counter to find out why the CEL is on and find that they were going to let me drive off without having even worked on the recall! Later this day, I'm called again saying it's ready and that the light was on because the technician had forgotten to reset something. I come in, still not knowing why the battery is in sleep mode and why I can't access the remote features in the app. I end up going on a goose chase throughout the dealership, with the only solution seeming to be "try logging out and back into the app" and "turn your phone off and back on." The issue was confirmed to not be with the app at all, but the technicians refused to see what the physical issue could be. You guessed it, I requested them to figure it out and they kept the car another night. Next day, they tell me there was an issue with the charging system. They didn't notice this earlier when they supposedly did a scan of the car's entire system? I got to have this absurd and annoying experience for over $850. I am not very familiar with cars but I feel like this was grossly overcharged for the issues I experienced with Heritage. The staff at the service counters have a serious attitude problem. I understand they are very busy in the mornings, but it seemed like they simply did not want to help or hear what my car issues were. When one person didn't know they answer, they just shoved me onto someone else who did not care to help me get the answers either. The service department did a lousy job at checking their boxes and making sure everything is ready and working before returning the car the customer. When paying, the cashier was barely paying attention and couldn't hear me while she had her AirPods in. The sales department is much better though. I bought three vehicles with their fleet manager who is super helpful. He really made the purchasing experience feel personalized and special. He may be the only person in the dealership who doesn't hate their job. I would also like to note they have a good shuttle service. They will take you to and from any local area (even neighboring cities like Salida and Ripon) while your vehicle is being serviced. I would say, only come here if you have to.

New bumper replacement they did literally both sides of bumper is hanging loose and all staff says job is completed correctly and huge argument that car is ready to go. Took time out of my busy schedule to try let them correct back bumper they replaced and have to pretty much argue turning car in that it was back bumper not the front bumper. After all that my bumper is still loose and not even attached on either end... DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE ONCE YOU DO THEY DONT EVEN REMEMBER YOUR NAME OR THAT THEY EVEN KNOW THEY HAVE YOUR CAR OR PART WHEN YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM.
